In the interest of spirited discussion, I will now state some opinions.

Orville has been a great fun show so far. It doesn't really have enough lore yet to care about lore yet, but given enough episodes and season maybe it will.

Some of the aliens exist primarily for the sake of being weird, and that's fun, but it may bite them at some point in the future.

I wish they were a bit more careful about their treatment of faster than light travel. Their distances and speeds and screwed up. Original Trek was also kinda screwy, but at least Original Trek kept the number to themselves.more often than not. You can get away with a few more shenanigans when you aren't trying to turn real distances into meaningless techno babble.

Hopefully they don't catch unnecessary flack too long over replacing a perfectly good character with another perfectly good character. It's only waifu jerks that care, because the show hasn't really build enough actual lore yet to give a dame in a genuine level.

I'm kinda impressed that they have made religious zealots into a villain. It's creepy believable, because everyone has met people like that.

Home and Deflectors had almost no comedy whatsoever. And while the birthday episode had a little bit of humor, the episode as a whole was really stupid. So out of 9 episodes so far, 3 sucked and only the last 2 had much action.

And if you could read, you would realize that was a response to "I want more comedy, less pew-pew." No one was talking about the quality.

Isaac served on the Orville taking orders with no issue. The difference was Primary gave him orders under threat of deactivation or reprogramming if he didn't obey just as the creators had done to the Kaylon.

It's kinda true, there's a mounting "conflict" between discovery fans and orville fans exasperated due to politics and additionally we got 2 really cool orville episodes so the discussion topics are here.
