He got raped because he was the only one who was contemptuous of the hillbillies they encountered before setting out, everyone else engaged the country folk honestly and with an open mind, this fatass bitch just made fun of them the whole time until he got his fat ass stuffed,

I really dislike city people and city culture so it brings me joy when rural folk and hillbillies give them their comeuppance in such a brutal manner.

just look at the way this fat faggot acts when literally everyone else is trying to enjoy a spontaneous bonding of culture.
does nobody on Yea Forums have anything to say about manrape
Why does that kid look like some hapa from Kazakhstan or another central asian country?
Do white people really do this?
or you're just a closet faggot
Most of the zoomers on Yea Forums have never even heard of Deliverance buddy, you're wasting your time if you want to actually discuss movies on this board
zoomers haven't seen Deliverance, grandpa
ZOOMERS WAKE UP
Because he's literaly retarded.
I bet you can squeal like a pig, OP
>I really dislike city people and city culture
Same, but movies of this sort are made by city people in order to demonize country folk. The formula is, city people go into backwoods area and encounter rural people that are degenerate monsters that the city people have to kill. Deliverance is functionally the same as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A less obvious example is To Kill a Mockingbird, which follows a similar plot.
boomer, start your lawn mowers (or snow blowers)
I mean he was also the biggest bitch of the group they make a huge point of showing it
Movies that deserve an all-female remake. Also turn every death into a rape.
>grew up rural hillbilly
>didn't even learn to read until the age of 12
>20th birthday insult whole family
>run away
>Start new life in Seattle far away
>9 years later
>regret it still
grass is greener on the other side and all that, people shit on it a lot, but there is so much to be found in a simple life like that. just you can't see it until it's gone.
thanks for reading my blog
To Kill a Mockingbird is a pretty evil movie with an abhorrent and vile message. Same goes for 12 Angry Men.
The fact that these movies have been immortalized and put on a pedestal says a lot about baby boomers.
holy fucking yes please make this happen
>To Kill a Mockingbird is a pretty evil movie with an abhorrent and vile message.
I actually haven't seen the movie, but I have read the book. And yes, the message is that poor white people are evil, and that they need to be kept in line by their enlightened betters, and killed if it comes to it. Atticus shooting the rabid dog is the foreshadowing of Boo Radley killing Bob Ewell at the end. Poor black people, though, are innocent, pure creatures that similarly need the protection of the enlightened, wealthy whites, to keep them safe from the evil, poor whites. It pits poor people against one another using racism, in order to entrench the status of the wealthy.
just call your family and go back
can i interest you in a book user
Mother and father died about 4 years after me leaving, nothing to go back to. have work here though
Be nice to your parents if you still have them, never know what the last things you say to them will be.
It's cultural appropriation
He got raped because he was a naive city slicker who was part of a group that didn't even bring firearms when going on a rural trip where anything can happen, not just w people but wild animals. Its just something you don't do.
If Lewis would've been there at the beginning it never would've happened.
I looked it up, and I'm not particularly fond of Nietzsche. I lean more towards Stoicism, which has given me a lot of practical advice on dealing with problems in life. It's a very different sort of goal than what that seems to advocate. But thanks anyway.
is it a good movie?
>1991
not particularly. it's really only famous because of the dueling banjos scene and the "squeal like a pig!" male rape scene.
t. gay hillbilly wannabe rapist

Have you read Nietzsche? Not trying to dig at you but I was all about stoicism before I read Nietzsche and it gave me a lot to think about. The only reason I asked about Jack's book is because there's a heavy emphasis about how people place a lot of weight on how poor = virtuous and it came to mind when I read your post.
>actually discuss movies
it's a poorly veiled /pol/ thread, how fucking dumb are you
what town you from user?
im sure you think a lot about doing male city slickers
good analysis desu
Yeah dude this board is for CAPESHIT and CAPESHIT ONLY
But if he was there at the beginning you wouldn't have got tgus 10/10 shot.
I've read his criticism of stoicism which I thought was pathetic. I don't really want to get too much into it, though. But as for poverty and virtue, I do think that pursuit of wealth can often contradict and overshadow the pursuit of virtue, but poverty is not necessarily virtuous by any means.
mongoloid
Rather not say online, but southern Washington, and not in a town per say, the nearest stores other than a gas station were about 40 miles away from us.
But we still counted as being part of that town as far as the state cared.
Nothing wrong with raping urban faggots
It's better to let your pigs do the dirty work though
I'd still recommend it, even if you pirate it, its a good book even if it only strengthens your opposing viewpoint by the end.
>live in rural area all my life until 2 years ago
>mostly safe, only deaths or injuries from wildlife (not including accident slike drownings and falls) are from bears when city hunters are too dumb to bring the right caliber bullets and get mauled by a bear they shot and didn't kill (happened 7 times in the last decade)
>a year before I went to live in the city, we had the weirdest/funniest death yet
>bunch of drunk city folks made a bet
>the one who poked a bear with a stick wins
>there was a winner
>they shipped his corpse back to his city
>wildlife services had to put down the bear because of these fuckers
Meanwhile I've never used or own a gun and was never attacked and I met plenty of bears over the years. Sometimes I was even on foot and my bag full of freshly caught fishes.
I'll think about giving it a read then. Thanks for the recommendation.
Men can't be raped. Movies aren't real you know.
>per say
Dumb hick
The most virtuous character in the book is a white man, that would rather suffer violence than compromise on his ideals.
Atticus has even been criticized for being a white savior, as he comes across as too good and too upstanding for some readers.
>Lol, I've never been in an accident so fuck seatbelts!
It only takes once, user. Carry a gun. Its your insurance policy against wild animals, dogs, niggers & the occasional crazy cracker.
i mean this is just my perspective but it seems like hes an average white guy?
It's like you completely ignored the economic aspect that I was talking about.
Interesting. Most people take a little from different philosophies (myself, I follow a mix of The Maxims of Ptahhotep, Marcus Aurelius' Meditations and The Art of War. I use the books as I'm not following the philosohies themselves, but only using practical advices from the books that apply to my own personal life).
Are you guys doing that too, but with an emphasis on one particular philosophy, or are you only using the one?
He's a rural lawyer, he's hardly rich himself. But he might be better off than the others around him. In that case, Boo Radley is a poor retard and isn't violent or racist either.
yes and no, i have a desire to follow the great philosophisers of the past and their works in earnets, but what comes out in the wash is what is most useful and practical to me. as a caveat; what is practical to me is ever-changing, especially on rereads.
No way. Scout makes him out to be this paragon in the book, because it's her dad. He's morally upstanding and good, but he also avoids all the trappings that come with being a man in that time. He isn't a racist or a sexist, he fully respects his daughter's individuality, etc.
>He's a rural lawyer, he's hardly rich himself. But he might be better off than the others around him.
If you can't understand that a lawyer is part of a higher social class than the uneducated, drunkard bums that constitute the poor of the novel, then I don't know what to tell you.
>In that case, Boo Radley is a poor retard
He's a recluse that is able to subsist on his own without working. He's part of a similar economic class as Atticus.
>and isn't violent or racist either.
Again, you ignore the analogy of the dog being put down, and Bob Ewell being killed. It is the same sort of thing. Boo Radley is not "violent", he is only "putting down" the lower class person that has stepped out of line. And the police cover it up for him. I never said that any of these characters were racist, but that the novel utilizes the idea of "racism" to divide poor whites and poor blacks, to keep them opposed to each other rather than the people that actually have power over them.
I normally read Greek philosophy. I get the most from Stoicism, but I'll take whatever is beneficial from other sources. This seems to have been the ancient practice as well; e.g. I've been meaning to read Simplicius' commentary on Epictetus' Handbook, which was translated recently. It's a Platonic commentary on a Stoic ethical manual, which shows that later Platonists were using Stoic materials to teach ethics.
Same. But if I could chose one to follow, it would be Diogenes and his Cynic philosophy.
It appea;s to me so much but I found that in practicality, I can't really use it. I"m too addicted to sex, too lazy to exercise regularly and live in a big city.
But rejecting all the trappings of consumerism society, complicated relationships, social status and live a simple and virtuous life is appealing as fuck in a world that is just stress over stress.
>tfw always wanted to become a christian monk because I love the lifestyle
>I don't believe in religion though
I think the message is to simply not be prejudiced against people for their race, you schizoids
men are naturally focused on results, it has nothing to do with race at all, and we would all be better off if the race baiters of the world were all suddenly struck down.
that makes me think that the opposite concept; where naive rural folk go into the city and get swallowed up by the impersonal concrete jungle would be interesting
>This is what my teacher told me it was about and since I don't think for myself I accepted it, so shut up
He got raped because he was a fat. More cushion for the pushin
Been done so many times it's a cliché.
but in a slasher/thriller kind of way?
Woah there Sneed, lay off the seed.
Well la di dah, Mr.Gucci Loafers
Yep that's a good excuse to rape. Rural "civilisation" everyone.
Midnight cowboy.
>implying urban slickers slick less slaves more than shanghai free country
Voight's climb was peak kino
this is spelling not speaking, you definitive brainlet
Boomer and zoomer aren't the same thing you retard
Not sure. A lot of them are about corruption of the simple folk moving to the city. Sometimes these movies are dark and of a crime nature. Not exactly slasher though.
>Moses Znaimer, founder of Zoomer Media, has defined a Zoomer like this. "The demographic of active people aged 45 plus; "Zoomers". Zoomers; noun. Derived from "Boomers With Zip!" People age 45 plus who enjoy life to the fullest."
It's a term used since before 2007.
zoomer on Yea Forums means generation z
Friday the 13th part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
Stay in school.
I know, that was the point of my post, retard. Can't you even read?
But are the rapists also women?
Degenerated hicks eternally BTFO.
>he comes across as too good and too upstanding
I think because the book is written from his daughter's perspective somewhat, and like all daughters she idolizes and mythologizes her father
What's big enough to stop a bear?
Would one shot from a 357 do it?
Posts like these just prove how twisted and fucked-up you backwater Hicks are. God, I'm glad I was born in a real place.
The sequel that came out the other year actually has him turn out to be really racist, which makes his commitment to upholding justice regardless of race even more powerful.
>placing blame upon victim
There was literally no reason for him to get raped
I want to be raped like this, scene turns me on
>7 deaths in 10 years, out of tens or hundreds of thousands of people who live in your area
>lol its cuz theyre dumb lol!!
>i havent died and i walk around with no gun and fish in my backpack near bears
