Simpsons in general declined around the ninth season IMO, that was the absolute end of the golden era

Not really too many great episodes from season 11 onwards, overly focused on social justice Lisa and Homer being a bumbling fool as opposed to a well-meaning simpleton

Every episode eventually just started to bleed together and become indistinguishable from the last, Simpsons wasn't magical anymore

Even the animation became more sterile and reminded me more of Flash than of the classic hand drawn style, it lost all its soul

Don't think it'll ever recover, especially now it's been renewed for a billion more seasons

Sneed

Until they became HD Simpsons were good, prove me wrong, boomer scum

Why did you start each paragraph with those specific words?

Even the 8th season was kind of the beginning of the end. Some good episodes, but then some horrible ones like my sister my sitter. And you could really feel the tone shifting.

Not sure. I knew formerly.

Well....you're right. I don't think anyone is going to argue that. The Simpson's are aired on a major network and therefore have inflated viewership that gives the illusion people actually watch it.

For example, people are usually still tuned into ABC after a NFL game or something.

Can't really disagree with you

Have very mixed feelings about season 8, you can tell the original writing effort is still there but the cracks are starting to show

Under the pressure of the fact they had a fucking worldwide hit on their hands, the writers either got complacent or overly stressed I imagine, they felt the need to deliver and it manifests in the repetition of certain tropes

Cliches and character regression become really evident especially around the onset of season 10, like what the fuck happened to Flanders and Skinner

Killing a brand as beloved and important to American culture as the Simpsons is no mean feat but Fox found a way to do it and continue to do so, it's a fucking zombie now

10/10 post

I bought this post from a hobo

14 season for me but I won't stop watching it

It's very kind hearted

Simpsons ended after the movie, at least for me.

>yep, they don't make 'em like they used to

Wow, new Simpsons is bad? Now that's an original hot take.

Also Sneed.

And next time on the Simpsons:

Krusty releases an all-female reboot of "Itchy and Scratchy," so Bart and his crew of all-male friends decide to boycott the show. After Bart's friends turn on him for laughing at the reboot,
Bart joins a woke group of sixth-grade girls who commit crimes against patriarchy in the all-new
"Bart Vs. Itchy & Scratchy" episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, March 24 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SI-3010) (TV-14 L, S, V)

They should have made some time skips after season 10 for new storys

James L. Brooks stabbed his best friend in the back in a horrible blatant soulless way and then showboated at his funeral to the disgust of all the guests.

Harry Shearer regularly attends Bohemian Grove.

>no one's realised

New Simpsons is so good right, my fellow zoomer! Fuck that old 90s shit, it was so problematic!
