If Beale Street was a similar story with white people with the same director, cinematographer and composer, then sure it would still be a film worth seeing.
If you can't appreciate the fantastic direction and cinematography in both this film and Moonlight then I wouldn't take your opinion on any film seriously. You'd just be a filthy pleb.
