S1 is all build-up and throwing random shit at the wall to see what sticks.
S2 resolutions are all typical contrived Moffat-tier writing with clearly having no adequate payoff planned out for its ''''''ambitious'''''' setup.

The episode set in the 70s was easily the best this show's ever been. Should've done the whole season like that.

I watched this show after I had knee surgery and was out of my mind on opioids. It was a good time.

Only good part was the fantastic soundtrack (christobal van tier) colour grading kinomatopgraphy and direction and ofc the actors all fantastic.
A shame S2 kinda went limp dick in the story side of things I like pol x tier tinpot stuff like this as well it could have been handled alot better

I still remember when people on Yea Forums jerked this off like the second coming.
Then Series 2 happened.

I don't think it was terrible, but it was very underwhelming compared to S1. The problem was the main plot for S1 was just investigating the conspiracy and what they were up to, once all that was known S2 really needed to go in a different direction instead of just continuing the plot. The plot also just felt much less interesting, they went in some really obvious directions, whereas S1 did it's best to subvert a lot of expectations.

They wrote themselves into an inescapable corner, that is the biggest issue with series 2.

Season 2 had The Senate in it, you could never get me to say anything bad about it for that reason alone. Also Goodsir was back.
