What the fuck, is martha the worst fucking resolution to a fight ever made? The memes werre fucking real.
Save martha
Why don't you start with the Greeks first. Then let's see if you still criticize this film.
It's at least top three probably
salva da martha
dios mios...
It really was jarring to see in theatres, although I am a Snyder fan, I admit it.
I thought it was fine. I really don't understand what the hate is about. My only gripe is how forced it is for Supes to say Martha instead of "my mother", but whatever.
typical snyderfag brainlet
Not an argument.
>be Batman
>fight Superman for endless minutes until death
>have cryptonite spear 1 inch away from his heart
>about to ram the spear into Superman’s heart and kill him
>but oh way he says something
>”Martha, Dave Martha”
>Martha? Why did he say my mother’s name? Oh what Superman’s mother is ALSO name Martha? Oh shoot! That’s cool!
>instantly throw the spear away
>me now BFF with Superman cause both our mothers are called Martha, even though I was one second away from killing him
Snyder
Really hoping aquaman and Batman solve their fight with “Thomas”
Imagine being so fucking retarded that you don't understand a comic book movie, even when the editor decides to do a flashback scene to make it easier for you.
Enough with the bullshit. I need you to be honest. Do you actually not understand the scene or is this just bait?
ENOUGH FROM THE MARTHA POSTERS
It’s literally the worst scene in the movie, if not, the entire capeshit genre. Stop defending it you Snydercucks you are just embarrassing yourselves.
This isn't a question of defending it. I'm asking if you actually understand what you saw.
but it made sense that the name snapped him out of his rage why is it bad?
I actually unirinically still don’t get it. You Snyder fans are on another level.
It's a great scene but they severely overestimated their audiences.
I have seen the scene multiple times. And yes I completely understand what Snyder was trying to imply with this scene. But the truth is he failed spectacularly with this scene. And I’m not the only one sharing this opinion. Just look over at the comment section of YouTube video of this scene. I still don’t understand how Snyder even shot this scene, allowed it to stay in the final cut, and even defend it. If I was Snyder I would legitemely retired from directing solely because I approved this scene.
What was he trying to imply?
That you are bbc sucking sissy faggot that gets gangbanged by 6 football playing niggers with monster cocks.
What was he trying to convey with the scene. I’m a brainlet please help. Was he seeing himself in Superman or his mother in Martha? Or is it deeper?
ok so in your words what was he trying to imply?
brainlet getting this mad that he can't use his own words. There's nothing wrong with no liking Snyder but when you can't even explain what he's doing and call him bad it's just wrong.
He was seeing his father in Superman (Martha line), whom he projected himself onto. Whole scene is basically
>We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence.
with some alteration in the god department.
I still don’t get it but that’s sound fucking deep.
"Save Martha" and "Han...Solo then" are two of the worst ideas that sounded good only in the director's head.
Batman's whole thing is lashing out against his feeling of powerlessness. He's overpowering others because of his childhood trauma (father/himself being incapable of saving Martha). It's his way to cope. That's why he's going this hard against Superman, because he ups the feeling of powerlessness to an unprecedented degree. When Batman towers over Superman, ready to execute, Superman tells him he'd be letting "him" kill Martha. Batman freaks out due to his deep trauma and Lois appears and puts it in context. Batman realizes both Superman's humanity and that he's been tricked, as well as having Superman put in the same situation Thomas Wayne/young Bruce was. He sees his shot at redemption, saving Martha and overcoming his trauma.
Based user
the best part about that scene is where batman then looks around like he thinks he's being pranked
user, no. If anything he was projecting himself, as a boy, onto Superman, thus becoming the very killer who ruined his life and murdered his parents.
As another user said, Snyder's biggest mistake was overestimating the audience. Batman is not something that should be celebrated, and I hesitate to even call him a super-hero. He is a cry for help from a boy who never healed from the trauma of seeing his parents killed as a result of his actions (or fear, rather).
Yea Forums memes are leaking
It's completely contrived for him to say Martha and it's stupid for Batman to change his motivation completely just because their mum had the same name.
>user, no. If anything he was projecting himself, as a boy, onto Superman, thus becoming the very killer who ruined his life and murdered his parents.
It's the same thing. He projected himself onto his father, as he did with Clark.
Lmao yea! I still can’t believe they actually filmed this scene and Snyder approved it for the final release holy kek
Thanks for not being an asshole like the other snydercucks man, I legitimately like this movie slightly more now
Fuck this movie, onbthe comics, Superman is not dumb, Batman doesn't kill and Lex is not a atheist freak.
I guess it does work either way, although him projecting as a young Bruce is more meaningful imo. You could probably interpret the scene as him initially "projecting" Thomas onto Super when the latter says "Martha", then projecting as a boy when Lois clarifies that Martha is Supes' mom and that's when Batman really cracks and has his little meltdown.
Yeah, the scene is really bad. There are many other ways Snyder could have conveyed the point of the scene, especially in a movie that already spends so much time up its own ass with surreal dream imagery.
brainlets in this topic lmao
if superman had've said 'save my mother', batman wouldn't laughed and killed him and thought his mother was another space alien. using martha means that batman doesn't get to easily assume his mom is a space alien like he is.
it's still very clunky though
superman is trying to get batman to save his mother even as batman is trying to murder him. it's fucking based.
He should have kept it silent/without any dialogue. It's very effective when you think about it. Trying to explain it to retards actually made the scene worse.
So brainlets actually didn't get this scene? I always thought they were just making fun of how poorly it was executed.
>ywn live in an alternate universe where Snyder had a guy with him who helps making his visions more coherent
That's supposed to be the writer's job.
>yfw Chris Terrio is writing Episode IX
>is martha the best fucking resolution to a fight ever
Yes
I also blame the studio for first letting Snyder just run wild and then forcing him to cut out all the scenes that make the story understandable for the theatrical release
Wow I did not notice that at all I just thought he heard the name Martha and was like “damn my moms named Martha too” then let him go. Wiw.
Damn it so deep it has many layers to the onion
FEED HIM, SEED.... MOEPOSTS
Yeah this movie was shit.
Batman had a completely unreasonable vendetta against Superman, but then dropped it because he heard the word "Martha." I am not a comic book purist, but I think Batman can have a fucking conversation Superman. I would almost say that Two Face would behave more rationally than Batman did.
Wow. Captain Marvel damage control in full force today. Go home marvelcucks.
Retard who can’t context
