Who said anything about being offended?
Why was Kahn culturally appropriating white culture?
The obvious libtard looking to get a rise is assuming you are offended instead of figuring out the obvious of minority sjw themselves getting upset when the white man """"appropriate culture"""".
'white' culture in Arlen is so hegemonic that people just view it as 'normal' not as a distinct thing and they expect kahn to integrate and adopt their practices to be 'normal' and will deride him for not doing so.
Their identity isn't centered around any notion of 'otherness'. Whereas most of the time when cultural appropriation is complained about, it's when people with the privelage of being 'normal' and belonging to a hegemonic culture, try to play at adopting the culture of people who are very aware how their culture sets them apart.
Another difference is that 'redneck' culture is a contemporary new world culture. It's not traditional. So it already relies on people from different backgrounds to keep it alive, and it is not threatened by modern society as it is a part of modern society.
There are a lot of bullshit accusations of cultural appropriation from overly sensitive people though, for sure. I really don't expect you to make any attempt to understand or give a measured response to this, so my actual point was just that you're a crybaby who is culturally appropriating the traditions of other crybabies because you think being a hypocrite is a good way of pointing out hypocrisy.
>Why was Kahn culturally appropriating white culture?
The implication is that OP finds it offensive that Kahn was culturally appropriating white culture. He is infact directly trying to draw a parallel between that, and 'libtards' who take offense at other examples of cultural appropriation. So he is clearly pretending to be offended.
Babar is clearly jerking it and everyone is to polite to say anything about it.
rednecks are not the primary culture of arlen though
Yes they are. Hank and co are still fixing their trucks in their yards and drinking beer in the alley on abandoned furniture.
Kahn just falls in with a particularly overt example of the culture.
babar doesnt give a fuck
you clearly don't understand enough about texan culture
>tfw I now realize the entire joke behind Kahn is that if the positions were reversed (a white guy constantly mocking the lifestyle of his Asian neighbors and referring to them by slurs/stereotypes) it wouldn't be acceptable
