I consider myself very open minded but I will admit, I thought Alex was just a self promoter and occasionally crazy person. I was completely changed by the show. The truth has a vibration to it, and watching the podcast straight through I realized he's telling the truth about all of it.

Shrimp weren't actually killing themselves. Chemical run off was messing with the shrimps minds and reflexes in a way where they were exposing themselves to predator or engaging in very reckless behavior. A kind of de facto suicide.
