was this a practical method of transport?

>never gets a puncture
yep, seems solid.

Dude, it is star wars, none of it is pratical and basically everything was there with the only intention to look cool.

>big wheel for when you can roll
>legs for when you can't
>easy to get into/out of
it's brilliant

I wouldn't say it's THE most practical transport, but as far as 'alien-looking transport' designs go, it's pretty good. The only concern I'd have is that it's unsafe as hell. It's like a motorcycle, only with the added risk of having it crush your head or limbs should you crash or lose your balance.

Ha ha yeah...

Well if you lose balance you got the legs.

Yo is this shit real? Why don't I own one right now?

Almost none of the vehicles in the Star Wars universe are practical. Thats true for each movie.

No, it's a dumb Flash Gordon inspired science fantasy film that's pretty much best described as 'the Roman Empire in Space meets WW2 in Space'. No child is going to fucking understand all the galactic politics bullshit that's throne around - and has been thrown around since the fucking beginning - because most adults don't even fucking understand it. I bet George Lucas doesn't even understand it. Who cares, it's not about the politics, that's thrown in as flavor FOR ADULTS so they can pretend they're watching something deep.

It's like Shakespeare. We all pretend he wrote super advanced intellectual plays, but when you actually read them you'll find they're full of fart jokes. Why? Because they're entertainment designed for mass audiences, and THAT'S what made Shakespeare so popular and so brilliant. It's no different than today. Yea Forums hates Star Wars and capeshit, but nobody is going to fucking give a shit about Death of Stalin 100 years from now. That's a horrible thought, but it's true. The lowest common denominator is the one that wins in the end.

Yes yes

The clone troop transports in Attack of the Clones are pretty practical. Probably because they're based on Huey Helicopters and such, but they're probably one of the best designed sci-fi troop carriers outside of BSG's Raptor shuttles. Maybe a little thin on protection, but one could argue that makes them lightweight.

Big Tire. Super powerful why do you think they have control over food with the Michelin Stars

because it's fucking dangerous

I don't give a fuck I want one. Someone make me one damnit. I'll pay for it.

It beats flying on an airline
