Requiem for a Dream

This movie fucked me up, I watched it days ago, and I still cannot stop thinking about how dark and depressing it really is. And the soundtrack, every time I hear this soundtrack I get tears in my eyes. I have seen many more fucked up stuff, but why exactly this movie makes me react like this? What is it so special about it?

turned it off halfway through it was so boring

I, Daniel Blake did this to me
i fucking hate england

Its great but contrarians here hate on it

Are you 16? Serious question. I fetl the same when I watched it at 16.

The end, the end is the part where the movie wrecks you psychologically

Why do people watch these ugly films?

They're equivalent to modern art - just a vulgar reminder of our lives.

I watch movies that are smart or beautiful, why dwell on the seedier aspects of society?

I also don't have a single tattoo.

everything that happened to them was because of their own actions and retardation not because of drugs

Not everyone is a sensitive little faggot like you that needs to live in a bubble.

19, when I was about 17 I tried to watch it because of all the review, but got bored at the beginning without knowing all the potential

...

ASS

godspeed, you've got your whole life ahead of you

It was the film that finally made me quit heroin.
I hung around with a group of degenerates who sniffed coke nearly every day, who then wanted to try heroin after Trainspotting came out because they thought it was cool. I gave in to "peer pressure".

It'a not about sensitivity. I'm a war veteran and have seen the depths of violence and misery.

I choose to pay attention to the forms of art that elevate humanity, not pornographic capitalization of that which is ugly.

Unlike you, I also find anal repulsive.

I'm basically a higher quality of human.

>higher quality of human
>fought for israel

Ellen Burstyn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Sara Goldfarb but lost to Julia Roberts for Erin Brockovich. This awards ceremony fucked me up, I watched it years ago, and I still cannot stop thinking about how dark and depressing it really is.

>watch trainspotting
>think heroin is cool

Whew lad, thats the exact opposite reaction i got

>Fought for Israel

Wut. I'm not American.

tell me more, because I kinda find myself in a similar situation

Don't do drugs bro. It does nothing for your life.

It forces you to feel that way. Similar to what "Ano Hana" does.

exactly what said.
You end up with no home, no family, no dignity and a life long 'need'. Even when you're clean for years, there's still an itch inside you that you need to scratch, but if you scratch that itch, you'll fall into addiction way faster than you ever did before.

It kept me in a depressive state for about a year.
