Oh I forgot about The International! Thanks!

The Ghost Writer is perhaps my favorite movie. Eternally comfy, and a great thriller.

The ending was anything but comfy tho

I keep saying I'm going to watch this.

I tried re-watching The Shield and it didn't age well. Or I grew one. Or both.

shant be watching a film made by a rapist

That's a good movie op but it's made cozy mostly by the soundtrack.

That very ending shot is amazing. I didn't find it an uncomfy ending at all, I loved the banter with Amelia.

>mostly dialog based
>aesthetic setting
>desaturated scheme
>no gun fire or explosions

I agree the soundtrack is comfy too though.

This gets a bit uncomfy towards the end but most of it is very comfy.

Heavy dialog, not fast cut edits and anxiety camera work, most don't have overuse of violence if any - or when they do it is with purpose. You look at a movies like Capote and Doubt and you have these long shots and fluid camera work. Balanced color and toning helps a lot. Something like Murder on the Orient Express has lots of dialog but also a comfy train setting.

And then there is the X factor of just what you find enjoyable. Sometimes these threads you'll see movies posted that most find not comfy but an user does for some reason, I try to post movies that I think MOST will find comfy, but it is still personal and that is unavoidable.

May you find some comfiness in your day!

I enjoyed this movie more than I expected.

Not a movie, but you can't even conceive of comfy until you've watched Dick Warner's Waterways series on the Royal Canal in Ireland. It's a gentle exploration of the old canal crossing the country, the sights, the people, canal history, shenanigans with their boat, Dick Warner's cosy little narrations on how he feels about certain stretches of waterway, if you need your spirit soothed to its core, seek out Dick Warner's Waterways: The Royal Canal.

looks comfy, on my watchlist, thanks

Is The Ninth Gate comfy?

And The Ninth Gate is just Frantic with mystical stuff. She was early 30's there and early 20's here.
