It's great. Not much else to say.

The live-action Korean remake was okay too but they fucked up the ending.

Sewer scene is awesome.
The rest makes me sad.
Would recommend if you enjoy anime.

It's a masterpiece

I really liked it, though it deviated from the original in a few big ways, including the ending, which went on way too long.
It's also hilariously over the top with some of the action but that just made it more fun desu.

Is the Korean Live action movie worth watching? Heard its pretty bad

Cool. Saw a trailer, the directing looked pretty dope

Yeah, 7/10 action thriller. It's not actually bad.
The action is good (and extended tenfold), but they mess with the plot by making the love story 100% sincere.

anime reddit cringe for man children like all jap cartoons

The last sewer scene is both bad ass and depressing as shit

t. Star Wars general poster

Give it a chance user. Pretty good drama

I *think* I'd have the guts to be in the Sect. I'd want it to be a smarter movement though.

It's pretty good but the ending is the opposite of the anime. I liked it a lot.

I watch a lot of anime, and this will always be one of my favorite anime movies. It's just really fucking good.

How much did Fuse know from the get go? I have thought the whole situayion being a set up from the get go

I'm too brainlet to understand what the fuck was going on but it looked cool.

Personally I think any animated or live-action program that takes as its premise the idea that the Japs weren't an enthusiastic Axis power deserves to be held in contempt. They weren't Bulgarians.

>being a commie terrorist

it's really great, but totally different from what I was expecting
people in the alt-right use the imagery from this movie a lot, and I thought it was just going to be badass fascist police gunning down dirty rebels
but it was actually quite a deep plot that was somewhat difficult to follow unless you paid good attention

would recommend

It's an alternative history. Why wouldn't they be free to portray them however they want?

It looks cool for sure. Not sure about the story though.

Patlabor 2 was better.

>being a fascist lickspittle

Let's face it, you'd never be in Kerberos let alone the furriest inner circle.

I'd say they are apples and oranges desu

the jap-german alliance wasn't always in the cards
they were opponents in ww
and despite being allies, japan made a deal with the USSR
I always imagine what would happen if Japan never attacked pearl harbour and instead just invaded the Soviet union from the other side instead.
surely Stalin's mongol horde from the darkest corners of Siberia would not be able to relieve Moscow in the west.

>people in the alt-right use the imagery from this movie a lot

fuse's just like me! based /ourguy/

Seeing that he was still a rookie I don't think he was anticipating the final test given to him

Well, they're both often described as "confusing" and "boring".

>surely Stalin's mongol horde from the darkest corners of Siberia would not be able to relieve Moscow in the west.

I'm a leftist spider without even the decency to feel ashamed of it but I have to say, user, that's an unexpectedly grand dramatic sentence. Imagine Patrick Stewart reading it.

The incel weebs that use the imagery from it don't care or understand the deeper themes, just want to see le ebin nazi helmets.

Yeah but those are plebeians.

He was already part of the Wolf Brigade, wasn't he? He knew almost everything.

>How much did Fuse know from the get go?

well considering he was almost certainly selected for credulousness and manipulability

See this.
Looks like good shirt.

Decide to watch the movie.
First 10 minutes kino.
Rest of the movie. 6/10. Forgettable.

Yeah, but I think the ending was the ultimate test for his loyalty to the cause. I'm talking about the last scene, he was well aware of the plan to use the girl as bait but I don't think he understood that he would have to kill her [spoiler/]

It's more drama than action, so it's understandable why you didn't like it

Yikes

A lot of anime from that time was made by people who grew up in post war Japan. They saw how hard they got fucked up and how lives were ruined, and the themes of a lot of the works were anti-war.

It's from the guy who made A Bittersweet Life and I Saw The Devil.

Shooting good!
Talking bad!

It's miserable but it's comfy. I watch it when I need to purge the bad feelings.

The korean remake is a trapestry and only the first scene has something to do with the anime movie.
Fuck koreans and their comfort women.

I wish there was a sequel

I think he did but he hadn't entertained the possibility that he might care by then. That to me is part of the point of the film, that Fuse is what he is and as much as he might want to change that he ultimately can't. He's been indoctrinated and he'll be a wolf forever.

Interesting, so it ends on a "happy" note? Either mood of an ending works considering the fact that the story is about internal conflict and choice.

Basically an alternate 1960s Japan is having a bunch of rioting going on. Their FBI and CIA are trying to stop that while simultaneously through each other under the bus for the issue so their organization can secure more power.

It does. He gets out of his hell.

Japan was already overstretched in China and did terrible against the Soviets in the few skirmishes before. They’d also be fighting over cold wasteland. Japan would be worse off.
