user this is a good opportunity to be healed by Arita; remember not only do you have every right to be in a theater alone, it people judge you for it then its their loss. Don't let their small lives make yours worse.
Asked the guys from the parking lot. Gave 'em a lot of chocolate in return. As a tribute to Alita.
Nicholas Thomas
whats the point of this? are you adult males? do you work? do you have partners?
just what sort of person makes a thread like this.
Michael Campbell
>We watched Alita; We've already won
It's amazing isn't it? No amount of corporate dealing, of social change or other bullshit can take the experience away from us. Maybe this isn't the perfect timeline but you run a simulation 100 times of this movie getting made and I think this is one of the better outcomes.
Probably, but we fought our hardest. One thing is for sure, I won't be watching anything made by Marvel or Disney in a cinema ever again (last thing I watched was IW). This movie spoiled me and made me extremely hostile towards upcoming blockbuster movies from the bigger IPs. Sounds childish, I know.
We're making it to at least #99 given the importance of the number in the film. Then we have to give the user shit who promised to eat a blu ray if we got to #100.
Charles Lee
Yes, absolutely. We're getting paid so fucking much to shill for a movie that can't even break even at the box office. Did you see it by the way?
Kayden Adams
Why did you come to this general? One day, you might watch a movie that you care about and one that makes you feel good, user. Until then, try not to concern yourself with things you couldn't possibly understand.
Brayden Smith
>I will not cyka by in the presence of blyat Дяӏтд is pretty based. I'd cheeki her breeki, if you perestroika my vodka.

Sat in the cinema right now waiting for this to start. What am I in for?
>Remember the time I proposed you? >Yes, it was in a dark parking lot, I can still smell the gazoline and piss user, you fucked up
Jeremiah Perez
Have faith user. This film will outlast in spirit the majority of releases for the next while. After all, there's a reason we still post K gifs from BR2049 all over this site.
Joseph Williams
Gasoline smells super nice though.
Cooper Hall
It's in Russia, my man. We are using nuclear-powered cars since 1991.
Jeremiah Butler
You wouldn't happen to have a piece of cheese on you boy?
Cooper Cox
Have any of you fuckers watched the original anime to understand how butchered and garbage this "movie" is?
>Have any of you fuckers watched the original anime to understand how butchered and garbage this "movie" is? I watched the OAV back then and I don't see anything butchered, there's more in the film than in the anime.
Benjamin Morales

Someone make Captain Marvel version.
Brody Brooks
Read the manga several times and the OVA was the first anime I was ever exposed to. Your shit opinions are not welcome here f/a/g. Get out.
Chase Walker
>talking about "the original anime" when the original product is a manga and the anime is just another adaptation Wanna know how I can tell you're going to see Captain Marvel?
Brody Wright
Will based Den be portrayed as a Jaeger-sized Samurai centaur robot in the sequel?
Cooper Brown
pic related is what you need to bring to the theater if they ever do a limited rerelease of BR2049 and time it to this line
>Many is the night I dream of cheese >Toasted, mostly
Why is that even a thing? Why do we have a literal tranny general on Yea Forums and who is even posting in those generals? Are we going to have a BLACKED general if there's a BMWF cuckolding tv show? And you know that there will be one soon (netflix original) if there isn't already. That's the clown world we live in.
John Sanders
The anime is no more authentic than the live action movie in comparison to the manga. Now fuck off.
>he thinks live-action should conform to the source material 1:1 I bet you also hate Forrest Gump and consider it a bad movie because it's not exactly like the source material Or The Shining Or maybe you wanted Peter Jackson's head on a platter for DARING to remove Tom Bombadil from Fellowship of the Ring? Or is it perhaps the side-plot about the girl who had to get pussy-surgery after getting fucked by Sonny's massive horsecock in the Godfather that you're missing?
Wait, would that mean China's at a 100 million already?
Aiden Ross
What if Alita came out in her current form all the way back in 2009, instead of Avatar? How would this industry be like today if that was the case?
Xavier Ortiz
>Going to see it again tonight with mom and little sister Only other movie i went to see twice was BR2049
Jordan Jones
I caved and bought the manga boxset+comixology and the art book, but I still have too much pride to get the figurine.
What do?
Gabriel Thompson
Instead of MCU and DCEU dominating the box office we'd have true anime kino. >Alita trilogy >proper Ghost in the Shell >Akira >Keanu Reeves as Spike in Cowboy Bebop >The WWE stars in Kinnikuman >Quentin Tarantino's Black Lagoon >X-rated Bible Black adaptation
Jeremiah Russell
Nothing left to do but swallow your pride. There's plenty of upcoming figurines to preorder You love Alita, dont you user?
Jack Young
Fuck you cod-eating rich fuck
Daniel Davis
Lord help me, I'm spiraling out of control and I need to stop
I'll get a Revoltech figure or something if they make that, so at least the kids can play with them. A decorative statue is 2weeb4me and I say that as someone who has a full size Dai Gurren flag.
... though if she had real hair ......
Nicholas Brooks
>have too much pride my dude, I'm no figurine guy, but unless you're on welfare or share your income with the spouse or something, there's no reason to feel shame in liking what you like.
High-end japanese dollmakers are probably already cooking up an Alita doll. Although if you like vintage toys, you can still find original 90s gally figurines for minor fortunes every now and then
What a beautiful world. 2049 paid off. Dredd collected half a billion. Road Fury collected billion. The Pacific Rim has paid off ten times and Guillermo remained the director of the second part.

>acquire mold >make caramel >cover bottom of mold with caramel >fill up with custard >cook in a waterbath >let cool >pop mold upside down on plate >lift Not easy to make, worth it though. Saw this yesterday. What was up with her eyes? Why does no one mention it? Is it a homage to the thing it's based on (and her eyes are actually normal) or is that type of body modification normal in this world? Or is it a martian thing? Did everyone forget what martians looked like?
Alexander Watson
>Del Taco got so much lift from Pacific Rim that he made Mountains of Madness and Monster like he always wanted to
Nolan King
I'll just ask mom for help, she likes to try these types of things.
>What was up with her eyes? They are cute. >Why does no one mention it? Because she looks great on movement. >Is it a homage to the thing it's based on (and her eyes are actually normal) or is that type of body modification normal in this world? Both. >Or is it a martian thing? It is. >Did everyone forget what martians looked like? That was 300 years ago, you nigger. Deal with it.

Nah, his Hellboy irritated me >Liz x Hellboy >Abe was turned into an effeminate faggot for no reason I hate it.
I do not feel such feelings, but I understand them. Hope for a new Hellboy?
Andrew Reyes
Saw the trailer, it looks even worse with an evil Broom for some reason, I'm passing on it hard. Real shame too since they finally had my favorite BPRD character Ben in it.
Robert Bailey
It seemed to me that there were too many completely inappropriate jokes in the trailer. And inconclusive CGI.
I need to start going through and saving my favorites.
Carter Nelson
Bottom row, second from the left is tops.
Bentley Long
I didn't like the Hellboy trailer. It's trying too hard, I think. The only parts of it that made it interesting is that it's set in Britain - as well as the character of Hellboy himself.
Adrian Rogers
Even though Alita may be gone, the healing she provides is not. Any future movie social anxiety kun wants to watch alone will benefit from it
Ryan Carter
Tried too hard to be funny, I'm just hoping the blood queen actually ends up covered in blood.
Nathan Garcia
In the movie, its a martian thing. Did you not notice? All the martians in the flasbacks had big eyes and dead martians inside the destroyed ship had big eye caveties in their skulls. Why did Cameron do it, instead of giving martians normal eyes? I guess because it makes the character unique, its also super cute and she was cute in the manga.
Reminds me of DBS Broly when the soundtrack starts chanting "Go-ge-ta! Go-ge-ta!"
Aaron Morris
>It'll still likely pass $400m worldwide, but otherwise, well, ask me again on Sunday. If it ends up closer to $400m than $500m worldwide, that'll make long-term profitability a challenge and the likelihood of a sequel pretty much between slim and none. Not exactly done yet, every dollar counts at this point
Josiah Hernandez
So if it isn't 460 million AT LEAST there won't be a sequel. That's that then. She was a shooting star.
Thomas Walker
I didn't like it. Didn't really hate it, but it disappointed me. I saw it twice, first with my two brothers and then with a date, and she hated it. At one point she started laughing at it. But people in general really seem to like it. I really felt it's a collection of wasted opportunities. The girl I saw it with also saw Blade Runner 2049 with me, The City of Lost Children, and she really likes those. I have to agree with her when she said the world building was a huge problem. It wasn't miserable. They have lakes and a cool mini jungle, and markets and people selling burritos, a cool guy plays the guitar with cool robo-skills, and I get that guy is poor but he looks so happy! You can buy chocobars for your girlfriend and then ride on your motorcycle together after having played a cool urban sport, how is that post-apocalyptic misery? Sure, there's rape and violence at night, but that happens all over the world in cities. Sad, bad, depressing, but way to close to reality to build the world of a futuristic nightmare. The music was appropriate for any other movie full of action, didn't add to the movie's personality. Alita's eyes were horribly distracting. But the parts I liked I really likes, I wish it went further with the cartoony farce. I felt it was too safe. It's also corny, the girl I went with hated that but I say it's ok to be corny, just embrace that and be way cornier. I'm glad the movie was well liked by most people, though. I hope they make sequels. In general I'm glad this movie exists.
the thing is the movie came too late in this shitty sjw era
Ethan Bell
I don't see what you mean by that, but please expand on it.
Gabriel Moore
Please. Don't! -- Palpatine
Joseph Allen
>I get that guy is poor but he looks so happy! You can buy chocobars for your girlfriend and then ride on your motorcycle together after having played a cool urban sport, how is that post-apocalyptic misery? This isn't Blade Runner, you came to the movie with your prejudice. Nobody said all animals and nature was destroyed. There are just living in futuristic indian slums.
Hunter Richardson
no one gives a shit about some fucking broad's opinion.
Aaron Cox
Some valid criticism there except for the eye thing: Your brain is wired funny, user. Tbf, if they didn't frame it as a YA movie, it would have made much, much less. It's not Deadpool so while it's not perfect, it's the best we have for now and it's a towering achievement compared to similar efforts. If you want the grit, read the manga.
Elijah King
i dont know how to explain it but early 2000 wasnt afraid of blood and violence so the movie could have been made without limit like the manga
Thomas Perry
>how is that post-apocalyptic misery? You must be from a third world country or something. There's situations where you can get by and still feel like you have no future because of how everything is set up. If you notice, what pays the most is crime, including sanctioned crime, while honest workers barely get by and have to overwork and use implants to get anything at all.
Adam Lewis
>Corny
Have you ever been exposed to Japanese culture before? Especially anime/manga? Because if you call Alita corny, then you at least have to concede that the spirit of the genre is VERY much intact.
Ian Kelly
Just got back from second viewing. I felt so happy the whole time and had a big smile on my face. Nothing i have seen in cinema has been able to do that for me.
It's not as grimdark as the manga, but there's a fine line here between making a craptastic world, and making a laughably craptastic world. I think this theme of humans making the best of their situation and having decent social interaction helps explain why this society didn't devolve into Bartertown in 6 months.
Don't get me wrong, Mad Max is great, but it feels like a caricature. Alita feels more real.
As for the eyes, I think I was helped by seeing those when Alita opens them in a close-up. It doesn't look as weird as it would if we saw her face next to a normal human's face in the first shot. Also I didn't see the first trailer. I think it's interesting that their solution to making her look less uncanny was to make her eyes even bigger.
Samuel Perry
Kingsman was plenty bloody and violent, so that wasn't a problem. Cameron and Rodriguez wanted an edgy PG-13 movie, and so they made one.
Jackson Parker
Reminder that even if it fails financially, even Blade Runner got its sequel eventually. She waited for 300 years. We can wait too.
Angel Turner
>daily reminder that your waifu is a sociopath who needs violence to recover her memory >and--even worse--to "find out who she is" When women say that they are cuckolding men.

The eye thing really redpilled me on how different our brains respond to the uncanny valley thing. I was sold from the first teaser trailer but then I looked around me and everyone was talking about how uncomfortable the eyes made them feel. I think they're beautiful.
Kevin Brooks
Hadn't seen that one before. It's a nice picture.
Jacob Powell
Very relatable. People need to be punched.
John Turner
How was Nova eavesdropping on Alita and Hugo when they were talking on the pipe? I don't think the pipe has any cameras on it, so who was he using? Hugo or Alita?
Henry Jones
but Rosa won't be able to play Alita when she's 50
Brayden Roberts
She will, actually.
Jackson Perez
I reckon Hugo I think vector required a chip put in to his brain as part of the zalem deal
Carson Young
Glad to see I wasn't the only one to notice that. While it's possible that they have super-advanced telescopic microphones or laser mics, I think it was supposed to show that Nova was eavesdropping on Hugo.
I wouldn't put it past Nova to have set Alita loose on the world as a challenge to himself, but if he did that he wouldn't give himself a cheat like a chip in her brain. At least that's my read on a person like Nova.
>Nobody said all animals and nature was destroyed. There are just living in futuristic indian slums The whole thing depends on Earth being so shitty you would literally go insane. Trying to escape it is impossible, foolish, and the guy tries anyway. But the place looks liveable and even nice. There's a disconnection there, and it would work way better simply by making Earth really look like a cold ugly nightmare. I know, and trust me I don't hate the movie. As I said I'm glad it exists, even if it didn't do much for me. >read the manga I did read most of it years ago. I'll finish reading now, I guess. Dude, I literally said the film was, for me, not corny enough. By being more corny the tone of cartoony farce would have been complete. I loved the dog, it showed up when it was very convenient (too convenient) more like in a play than a movie, or, you know, a cartoon. I really loved that. With the eyes of the girl I felt the movie was embracing the absurdity, with the awesome robots that were trying to kill her during Motor Ball I felt that way also, and with the convenient dog, but then they didn't commit. Why give the girl big cartoony and fake-looking eyes and then embrace the cartoony, insane, silly nature of the premise only some times? All the elements were there for a much better film. But, again, I'm glad it exists and I'm very glad people are liking it. In a petty way I'm also glad the critics aren't liking it. The only opinions that matter are the opinions of actual movie goers.
Neither do I The point is that a lot of the spirit of Alita comes from Rosa, and you don't mess with it unless you have to e.g. Rosa dies or loses her voice
Mason Miller
>The whole thing depends on Earth being so shitty you would literally go insane. Trying to escape it is impossible, foolish, and the guy tries anyway. It's an allegory for immigrants going from 3rd world countries to the West. Not all of them come from dirt poor countries where there sin't tap water. They just want a better life and that has always been like that. Jiru is a dumpster and Zalem is all clean and skyscrapers. Of course everyone wants to go up. The message of the movie was they were actually happy and didn't need to go to the wealthy city.
Ryan Taylor
Because Rosa Salazar makes up for half if not more of the magic that is motion picture Alita. If she something happened to her, they'd have to get someone who could play Rosa playing Alita.
Hunter Carter
I get what you say but I just had enough of Mad Max for the last 20 years. So I am glad they made Iron town into a richer place.
I know the Manga is supposed to be about the author's own depression. But I don't think that works in movies. We had too many of them
Ryan Jenkins
If you mean have a read the manga the OVA was based on and then watched the OVA this movie was based on?
user the OVA butchered the manga.
Michael Gutierrez
I mean look what we got now: orange and chocolate bar. Big stadium. Park for young people. I don't know what we will get if it's something like maze runner.
I went and saw it today, Brisbane right in the middle of the city Australia and there was 4 other people in the 10:45am session, Makes sense but checking online doesn't seem like people are booking much. I enjoyed it but its pretty bizarre so it wont surprise me if it dosn't do well.
They also panned the original manga. Japanese are truly insects, I don't understand why you guys Stan then so hard all the time.
Elijah Richardson
I come from an Anime watching background and some of the robot stuff and weird dialogue might be strange to most people. Im glad to see something like this get made but i cant see it having mass market appeal.
Zachary Collins
It has you get a nice poster like this from Touhou cinema.
I went into a showing a week ago where pre booked seats only shows literally 2 taken. Figured i had the theatre to myself for the most part.
But by the time the movie starts, theatre was suddenly 75% full, no idea how. I guess there's still a lot of people who actually just go to a movie and just hope there are seats left.
Ryan Smith
God damn Alita is waifu material through and through.
The weird thing is usually I go full degenerate for waifus and look up porn immediately but for Alita I just want cuddles and time with her. Is this what growing up feels like?
Ayden Davis
Once I will never go see a movie in a cinema twice. Ever in my life.
I already calculated everything in the other thread, and I can guarantee you right now, the film will be sitting above 350 to 370 million by Sunday. Then it has the rest of it's entire run to make it up to 450 million.
>in an post-apocalyptic era you never can be happy again? You can, after you realize it's not the place you're in but the people you're with. You know, the point of the story? The thing that would be a satisfying arc if they executed it better" But for that to work as a realization you have to present the world as dark and cold and ugly.
In the original, Hugo tries to climb up there without a plan, not even thinking about what's he gonna even do when he gets there, because anger and fear have made him crazy. It's suicide and he's blinded. But in the movie, they make a point of saying he's being chased, also without a plan but not insane, which makes no sense.
And so, his motivation is reduced to something we can understand. You are being chased, you escape. But the lack of plan doesn't go at all with the motivation. And he really wanted to get there, because... he didn't like Earth? Ok, make it convincing by presenting it like a real hellhole. In the original his brother and sister-in-law were killed trying to fly there, I mean, seriously, the guy had no tragic motivation to go crazy, start climbing and realize at the last moment what happiness really is and how his obsession blinded him. And you fix that with an uglier world, it's really that simple.
This. A real hero would never have to correct someone when they don't praise them as one.
Gabriel Gray
i would be arrogant too if i signed a 7 movie deal over literally 100 million dollars and my hero is OFFICIALLY stronger than Thanos and therefore than the entirety of the Avengers+Thor+GotG combined.
Dylan Lewis
It's not like the rest is any good either. OG is carried by supporting characters, and Last Order is just DBZ.
Liam Nelson
Which character do you think was the weakest part? For me it's probably Chiren, she's kinda useless and her arc isn't very interesting
Brandon Reed
I agree it's Chiren, which is a shame because I love J-Conn.
I live in an affluent white suburb you trailer trash.
Leo Mitchell
in abag #250 when the bluray is out
Joseph Sanders
Definitely this, her pairing with Ido to appear sympathetic does the character no favors. Creepy and vindictive Ido operating a cyborg clinic in a scrapyard should be no saint.
I counted, it's exactly 5 It's obvious that she only exists to make Ido look like less of a creep
Hunter Wood
>he doesn't know

Does it count that I signed up for Discord to infiltrate Disney fan discords? I’m such a boomer I still use IRC.
Aaron Edwards
So Alita is great, it wasn't a big financial success, the sequel may or may not happen, the generals will stop eventually but what about the memes? What are the good memes that came out of Alita?
Chase Richardson
I think you clicked on the wrong thread, goofy.

Wyatt Gomez
We need to reach 99 ABAGs and we already are losing steam Besides he won't deliver
Parker Smith
i thought the same thing with Black Panther. you underestimate the nibba cattle in the US. they are herding them right now as we speek to see POWERFUL wahman kino
>losing steam >78 posters, ~+20 increase since yesterday There's just more lurkers then posters at the moment.
Wyatt Gomez
You didnt see? Captain Marvel is stronger than thanos according to writers. No i dont know how that doesnt ruin the past 5 years of MCU development either.
One would think that big timeline of movies we got a decade ago would've been planned, but alas.
Cooper Hill
The city was literally a dumping ground for an entitled community which gets the fruit of the city's labor. I can only speculate on why you and your girlfriend did not retain that sense of humiliation in your thoughts when thinking about life in Iron City and why you seem perfectly okay with it. Is there someone in your life who uses you as a dumping ground, user? Someone you look up to and long for?
These and Koyomi. They were probably the biggest victims of the script cuts
Christian Green
>we already are losing steam It's just a slow Friday morning. Stream can pick up during the weekends.
Colton Ross
Hugo knew he was going to his death. He wasn't trying to climb to Zalem in order to escape, he was going there so he could die on his own terms instead of being hunted down.
Dylan Anderson
I mean, I'm at class right now, I can't post here.
Many are /ABAG/ archive mining and creating OC right now getting ready for the weekend.
Wyatt Thompson
Doc Ido must have some kick ass painkillers tho. He was a head attached to a robo body and he didn't seem to be in pain. Nuts
Joseph Stewart
>doxx chan's who?
Brayden Hall
You know, sometimes its not about strength, but courage. She might not have beaten a big fighter guy, but she can beat any normal criminal on the street. Fearlessness and strength of conviction is what she has. She is just like /ourgirl/ Alita.
You misunderstood what said, what I meant by poison is that it would kill the MCU imediately, maybe in 5 to 10 years especially if Brie Larsen can't shut the fuck about her politics and sjw bs.
Hudson Miller
Zalem has sensors on that tube to detect any attempt at climbing up. The worst part is, Nova didn't known it was Alita and her bf, but he only thought that some rats were climbing the tube and mundanely pushed the button.
Andrew Harris
*wouldnt kill the MCU immediately
Elijah Roberts
Nah, it started weak but then got really good.
Noah Cruz
In the manga and anime, doctor Ido is more of a younger, bigger, sturdier character.
The one thing I did find a little odd is Ido in the movie walking around with the huge weapon thing, looking like he can barely lift it - let alone swing it.
Obviously he acted superb in his part, so is it that they just couldn't find an equally quality actor who could play that role as well but who fits the manga/anime better?
In that scene where he is activating the defense systems, the implication is strong that he is very well hearing them
Parker Martinez
I don't want the generals to go fast because I want to keep discussing with you bros. We are actually at light speed by Yea Forums standard.
Dylan Carter
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Captain SJW failed to make the money expected of it and the MCU movie execs sued the numb cunt for lost money?
Colton Johnson
Also as a result of this (or maybe for other reasons as well), Alita did things that Ido actually did in the manga/anime
Is it that they wanted to overplay her part in general or just everything fitted better this way?
Cooper Barnes
the anime is fucking dogshit trash compared to the movie
Ryan Campbell
If faggots like this poster would stop shitting up the threads with bait conversations the threads would slow down.
Cooper Cooper
Wrong Nova was watching the conversation and pushed the button But this wasn't the creepy part he was hearing and looking using his glasses. Who was patched and having a telepresence chip? Alita or Hugo? This makes the last words of Vector/Nova creepier: remember, I see everything
Jeremiah Johnson
The whole thing was approved from the top, it's not just Brie Larson. Marvel was looking for a feminist hero because that would distinguish them from Wonder Woman. They previously found the black hero and thought this one would have been the same.
what the fuck are you on? it's filled with gore and edgy shit just for shocking effect, what the fuck was that muster's saga finale? the tumor origin story is fucking retarded. erica stabbing the chick is the bottom of the barrel
Grayson Collins
>Is it that they wanted to overplay her part in general or just everything fitted better this way? It's just much better focus. Ido finding the Berserker on a ship was just a handwave about how he got it. They turned it into an important character moment that also further tied into information taken form LO.
Jace Hernandez
no it wasnt. its still showing in mine until next thursday at least. they dont schedule beyond that so i'll have to wait and see if its there after
Carter Robinson
Alita in the manga is a german descendant Ido in the movie is played by a German
Nothing golden can stay, anyway. Eventually the generals will stop, and then in a few years from now when the sequel gets released we can start them again. Just don't kill yourself in between then.
Liam Robinson
i wonder what virtue signalling hero are they going to shill then, maybe a black girl on a wheel chair. but seriously stop talking about capeshit in here, there is the whole board for that
Nicholas Foster
this is why reddit is based desu
Logan Diaz
>Alita in the manga is a german descendant
How is that even known?
Wouldn't her family (or even predecessors) have left Earth for Mars literally 400+ at least years ago?
What's that realistic face generator AI called again? Someone needs to run Alita through it to see what happens. Or use the anime face generator AI one.
Chase Nelson
Gosh I wished they Emily Blunt instead, who was heavily considered to be Cap. Marvel before Brie Larsen. At least shes a proven badass in other movies she was in and is a perfect cast. But no, Disney instead put her in a Mary Poppins movie that no one wanted thats looking to just barely breaking even.
Oliver Thompson
thats it im moving to peru.

>it's filled with gore and edgy shit just for shocking effect It's been that way for 35+ volumes. >what the fuck was that muster's saga finale? Fucking glorious. >the tumor origin story is fucking retarded. It was surprisingly clever and satisfying. Who could have thought that THIS would be Alita's origin story? I bet that's not even the full story and Muster left some things out about Alita.
At least he's from this site unlike a lot of the people in these generals.
Jason Young
A little update on the box office. At this point, Alita will absolutely, 100%, pass 400 million by next Thursday minimum. China will add another 40 million to it's current 280 million WW total by Monday, foreign will definitely add another 50 million by the end of it's run, then add anything extra and domestic, the film will end at 430 million or above that. Just keep going to see the film guys! Share the Alita love!

>It's been that way for 35+ volumes. most of the time is justified and well integrated in the story. here you have characters that last less than a chapter brutally executed just for the shocking effect (especially lolis), one after another >Fucking glorious. muster being a masochist was dumb, the rest was ok i guess. >It was surprisingly clever and satisfying it wasn't for me. i get that he was seeking for an origin where she never had a human body, he could have done it in any other way still he find the goriest and shitfestier way to do it.

Corporations control your life and mine, we have rights but we've accepted lots of stipulations, we elect our leaders but change is always surface-level if we're lucky, but our needs are covered and we can eat every day, we have cash for leisure, so we don't revolt. In the movie they have time for leisure and enough food for everyone. They had enough free time to play sports in the middle of the day and enough oranges to feed the robot.
Bottom line is, they are not poor.
They sure don't like having rich assholes dumping junk in the middle of the city, no one would like that, and in the same sense you don't like having rich assholes pressuring politicians so they restrict your freedoms just enough so you don't miss them. I don't see you climbing to the moon, or going to another country. The future the movie presented wasn't enough motivation to commit suicide out of blind madness.
