The humor behind YTP is taking something mundane and making it bizarre and hilarious in a surreal way. KOTH is the perfect show. While KOTH is funny as hell its so subdued many people take it as boring.

Simpsons on the other hand is already bizarre. It has slapstick lampoons already in it. How can you make Homer making a bomb from pop rocks and soda bizarre?

The animation for the Simpsons is too cartoony and dynamic. Meanwhile KOTH's animation is a lot of simpler and more realistic which makes easier to edit and the realism of the character models gives it a stark and awkward feel that YTPs are well known for.

It just doesn't seem to click with people who have no experience being on the internet and in my personal opinion, video games. I believe the humor found in some glitches like pic related for example somewhat introduced that style of humor to those that find ytps funny.
