Just because you arrived on Yea Forums in 2015 doesn't mean Yea Forums didn't have a subculture before you got here. Cunnyshit was always fucking prevalent and annoying, but a quick skim of the archive will show you Yea Forums was a million times more on-topic back then than it was today. And I distinctly remember this place being nowhere near as obnoxious as it got until after 2013.

I highly doubt the Big Brother generals were a reddit import. In fact, the one thing Yea Forums has undoubtedly exported to other boards is janitor/mod hatred, but you fuckers REVEL in the board being an unmoderated piece of shit where discord trannies and neetsocs argue with each other day-in, day-out.
Yea Forums never had a particularly incendiary relationship with moderators until AFTER Baneposting, and curiously enough, Baneposting was hated a lot back when it was popular because it seemed like it was chiefly enjoyed by crossposters who weren't really there to discuss Television & Film, much. Really makes you think.
