He did literally nothing wrong. Tommy just couldn't handle the bantz

Yeah and I guess Billy couldn't handle a little bullet to the head. So it goes...

If there was a war between Billy Bats, Phil Leotardo and Frank Marino who would be the last one alive?

tommy couldn't handle bantz from santa claus

he was a complete psycho

BILLY DID NOTHING WRONG

He insulted him a little bit.

Nah, he didn't insult nobody

Naw. Banter is fun but Billy was taking the piss. Probably didn't deserve to die but tommy is a fucking psycho and he should have had some gentlemanly respect for him but nope. Had to be a piece of shit and got murdered because of it. Happens all the time.

The ultimate redpill is realizing that it doesn't matter who was right and who was wrong, the entire situation could have been avoided (and both Tommy and Billy would still be alive) if Tommy had just gone home and got his shinebox

little bit...little bit

he was asking for too much straight out of prison.

>i fuck kids like him in the ass
i think batts deserved it

No, tommy was disrespectful from the start. A guy gets out of the joint and he RELUCTANTLY (and openly) greets him. You don't do that to a made man, even if he bought his button.

Tommy asked him politely not to bring up the shinebox, but Billy kept pushing it because he's a bully. Definitely deserved it.

Phil Leonardo is a really stupid name.

What did the irishman line mean? Did Jimmy say there was only one irish man here because him and henry were both half irish, 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 type thing? Or did Jimmy say that because he doesnt actually know Henry that well?

Jimmy didn't see Henry as Irish just like the Italians didn't see Henry as Italian. The rough part about being "half and half" is that neither group truly considers you to be one of their own. Jimmy considered himself to be the only Irishman there

>Or did Jimmy say that because he doesnt actually know Henry that well?
He clearly didn't if Henry becoming a rat is any indication

Pesci's death in this is garbage. Casino is the best death scene ever

I have a theory Batz used to molest Tommy, and Tommy is finally able to get revenge. Listen to the wagbhisbvoice tracks when he says he will shoot Batz in his high mouth. I hear the tone of a victim, a scared child, finally able to hurt the one that hurt him.

fuck of satan and your projected sexual frustrations.

I'm serious. He says shinebox and Tommy almost flinches. It's a hurtful memory, not simply a source of shame.

Even less so when you realize that, in real life, Tommy wasn't the 40something mature worker that he appeared to be in the movie.
Tommy was a 20 year old little punk and Batts was a made man who had been in the game a long time, had many rackets, and had loyally done time without ratting out the family.
He had just done 6 years so when you realize the last time he saw Tommy Tommy was only 14, then all of a sudden this young 20 year old punk wants to talk shit back to a made man like he was something.
Some fucking nerve.
In the mafia you realize that if someone higher up on the ladder talks shit to you you smile and take it and laugh it off because if you don't they are usually fucking psychos that will shoot you on the spot.
Word is that John Gotti himself killed that fucking cockroach Tommy Desimone.

Frank

>20 years in the can

I remember Henry Hill saying that on Stern. Artie was profoundly interested.

What I love about this scene is that Tommy, from when he leaves the bar, likely as a good hour/hour and a half to rethink things, maybe cool off or something. But you can see from the expression on his face when he re-enters the bar that all he's been doing in that time is steaming with murderous rage over the insult. A normal person would have just walked it off and forgotten about it.

He insulted him a little

> I amuse you?

In real life it was about Business. Batts wanted Tommy's "protection" scam back that Tommy took over, but Tommy didn't want to lose that. I don't know if this stuff is also true in the movie or if you're just supposed to take the movie for what it shows.

He’s not gay, it was just a joke!

Yeah I forgot to mention that when I wrote this Also the movie shows it all to be on the same night, but in real life the shinebox thing happened one night and Tommy got revenge weeks later
Honestly the movie didn't make sense
>hanging out in club with friends
>has an altercation with a particular guy known to be a fucking psycho
>disappears the same night
Gee I wonder what happened

>his brother gets beaten to death
>tommy only gets a couple of whacks on screen
For all Tommy did in Casino, it feels like he didn’t get his punishment, his brother did.
Goodfellas death is better because there is so much happiness going into the scene, all to get Tommy’s guard down.

REVENGE OF THE BATTS

>you can understand how a white girl might want to rut with a buck jungle nigger like that

to be fair it's probably agonizing to see your brother get beaten to death in front of you

the irony of course is that she was actually italian

You're a funny guy

4u

Billy was made, Tommy wasn't. Simple as.

This. The narration of Goodfellas is god-tier.

>Gee I wonder what happened
Yeah, and they whacked him for it. That was the point. The movie didn't even bother to explain how anyone figured out that it was Tommy because it was so obvious

Frank would attack them with a baseball bat.

nah it's cause they were both Mic/WOPs. I never heard your take though. It is interesting.

t. Mic/WOP

SIX FUCKING YEARS IN THE CAN!
