Gender fairness

Video games have added women to roles in eras where they were excluded due to oppression. Why can't the movie industry do the same? Showing how things should be is the only way to make things right going forward. If at least half of the soliders in the next war movie aren't female, it's proof of how much further we have to go.

also, movies are typically about things that are interesting, which means they're about jobs that men have, or ideals that men embody. there isn't much a woman can add of value, so they don't get as many lines.

I wish filmmakers had the balls to tell real stories about women and show feminine speech in all its glory.

We need more movies like Hidden Figures that highlight the women who pushed their way into roles that men had denied them. We need to set a good example for little girls by adding women into roles that men historically excluded them from. It's far past time to right thus wrong.
