I loved it. My local indie theater was showing it so I saw it on the big screen. Big recommendation from me.
Love it.
Yea Forums is the wrong place to bring it up though.
where else can i get some hype so they make a irl adaptation, now that Alita was done right we know anime is not the forbidden realm for real life movies
It's pretty much my dream anime. Highly detailed and stylish, masculine, good music, fast paced.
>irl adaptation
no. watch fast and furious if you want to normalfagize this art.
i liked it
the world needs more of it
>where else can i get some hype so they make a irl adaptation
Don't even try.
>watch fast and furious if you want to normalfagize this art.
NO i want speed races in space with in the redline universe, fuck i want to see a real life motorhead
Now you need to watch Trava from the same director
youtube.com
was this series kino?
not as much as redline, but yes
who's going to play her in the inevitable Cameron adaptation?
fuck yes, this is the other film based on the same universe right? havent seen this one thanks
Trava and Shinkai are the same racers from Redline, even though this was earlier made. Its great as a pure sci-fi story, like the recent Prospect movie
youtube.com
IT'S A REDLINE DAY EVERYTHING'S OK
Do they even make anime anymore that's completely hand-drawn?
Thanks user, this movie looks good
Studio Ghibli. All their movies are hand-drawn.
A few episodes of Hunter X Hunter was like that too. There was even a few pics on twitter showing giant pilex of paper with the drawings.
closest thing we'll ever get to f-zero: the movie
yeah absolute kino
find me a better animated movie
Ez
Not being contrarian here but why the fuck would people consider this to be a good movie EXCEPT the art style? It looked cool, yes, but the story was outright terrible. Don't even get me started on the American dub which I was stupid enough to watch instead of just getting the superior German one. Still, the plot fails to hold up to some of the worst anime movies I have seen
When it comes to animation, most people only care about artsyle. See how well spiderverse is doing, and it's plot is full of holes and bullshit.
>one race in the beginning
>absolutely fuck all in the entire middle
>second race at the end
Too bad about that middle.
I agree, it was stylish as fuck and the characters were fun but there wasn't really anything to the plot. The flashback and obvious reveal, the bioweapon blob thing, the lame military, a bunch of nothing really. The mechanic was the most well realized character in there.
I have this poster in my room, seventy inches. It's fucking great.
it introduced me to eurodance music so yes
Where did you watch it? Can't find it on netflix, and also
>sub vs dub?
sword of the stranger, still easily holds the #1 all-time best animated film for me.
always subs, and try nyaa.
>Redline
>Plot
Nigga just stop
It's just like all those movies from the 80's where the plot takes a backseat to the pure spectacle of it all
Some movies don't need plot or good writing to be amazing, Redline is that movie
Do you even remember fun?
put on the eye patch my friend, but if you dont want to risk it, there{s always youtube
youtu.be
It's pompadour kino.
Speed Racer is as kino as live action racing is gonna get.
