Film of the year

Post your favourite film of last year, and discuss each others choices.

I'm genuinely curious what yous all liked.

fuck off

Oh, it was Buster Scruggs. Talk about complete kino throughout.

Sadly there weren't that many great films last year. I guess I'm torn between The Favourite and Mandy. That Spider-Man animated movie is a runner up.

Of the films nominated The Favourite was by a considerable margin the best film. Mandy at the very least deserved pretty much every award that Black Panther got.

First Man was better than all of them.

Glad Green Book won just to spite the fucks that voted Black Panther and Black Klansman as the crowning achievements of the year.

it wasn't that great.

>james franco film
He was in one segment. You might as well say it was a Liam Nelson film.

Dare I say, possibly one of the Cohen's best.

really? true grit was also western and way better

fargo and no country for old men were better than both

That caught my eye too haha.

Dunkirk

I liked this one best but I saw almost no new movies this year.
Hollywood is trash

John Wayne's True Grit is the better movie.

Vox Lux
Chappaquidik
Mom & Dad

>Mom & Dad
Kino.

It's great
I wouldnt have heard of it if I hadnt read Armond White's reviews
That man is a national treasure

I haven't liked a film enough to even say I liked it since 2007.

The House That Jack Built. I think it having one of the most retarded endings in recent von Trier output makes it a 10/10.

Not close. It's a good film, but wouldn't even make it in a Coen brothers top 10 list.
