that was an interesting watch
That was an interesting watch
shitstorm ETA 10 seconds
why
because people on here hate it. i liked it tho.
I didn't know, I just watched it. it was pretty cool
that's nice. i seem to have overrated this board's interest in the movie, too.
Suspira was better
There any similar movies where the main characters are unknowingly being influenced and positioned by a cult that they're unaware of?
Don't be dramatic, user.
i'm nothing without drama :(
Funniest movie I've ever seen. First the ugly looking little girl is named Charlie. That's just funny. Then you have this great series of comedic events where the kid gets her head knocked off, the mom cries in the most hilarious way I've ever heard, and then they show the fucking head lol. So much more too, but all of that stands out especially. When the mom is banging her head against the ceiling it reminded me of something you would see in Beavis and Butthead. Just a great comedy flick.
the most disturbing part was the mother finding the body in the car
those screams were just too real
yup. compare that to the toddler being overrun by a truck in pet sematary, fucking pathetic compared to those screams in hereditary
very autistic post
Teenage.
>Suspira was better
Why was the son brown though
I agree, who the hell names a girl Charlie? Would they also name a son Kate?
>I think the scary movie is funny actually
Yeah, but how am I gonna tell you without giving away the ending to the movie?
Most obvious one is Rosemary's Baby
Isn't Charlotte?
didn't his biological father call the mother after he slammed his head at school? I thought charlie only was his half sister and she got a new husband after peter
>HeRedditary
yikes
I liked Suspiria and all, but no, it definitely wasn't better than Hereditary.
I was shit posting and ended up learning something. Thanks user.
I always thought it was just sort of about atavistic traits... He doesn't look very much like his parents to get you thinking about genealogy etc. etc.
maybe im a brainlet
The "le epic kino" alt right faggots hate it (most of them haven't even seen it).
Same with Annihilation.
I'm not even sure, I just vaguely remember the phone call and made a head-canon
Hmm maybe, but Charlie and Charlotte have different sounds for the “ch”. Still, why would you call your girl a boy’s name, even if it is a nickname?
>zero oscar noms
>toni collette didn't get nominated for best actress and win
What a garbage timeline.
What if they're named Charlee?
Still dumb
not really, charlie can be a feminine form of charles. it's a normal girl's name
I too did laugh my ass of at the head banging scene
Yeah it can be, but it’s way more common as a shortened form of Charles. There are other feminine forms of the name that aren’t just copies of boys names
>mother has blue eyes
>father has blue eyes
>daughter has blue eyes
>son has brown eyes
Someone got cuque'd.
Not necessarily, brown eyes are a dominant trait
The last scene was very comfy
audible kek
think about what you're saying for like five minutes dude
Are you stupid or something?
If both parents have blonde eyes, there's no brown eye gene.
I'm guessing your suggestion for REAL horror is some black and white silent film right?
Good point.
i grew up with an aryan mother, an aryan stepfather and two aryan siblings. i'm med and was a genuine darky as a child/youth.
it's not that special
So your biological father didn't have blue eyes?
How's this relevant then?
Thanks for the blogpost, though.
>For girls, Charlie acts either as a nickname for Charlotte or Charlene, or sometimes on its own
>Still, why would you call your girl a boy’s name, even if it is a nickname?
Paimon wanted a male body and Charlie was always his host. There was probably some attempt on his/the grandmother's part to make the body feel a bit more "male" and the name was likely part of that. It just obviously never worked since the body remained female and of course the family treated Charlie like a girl. Also I don't remember her full name but sometimes girls can end up with masculine nicknames, like "Jo" for Josephine.
i was saying that patchwork families are a thing, and according to another user in this thread it was also the case in the movie
my father was anatolian, my mother blonde and blueeyed
>If both parents have blonde eyes, there's no brown eye gene.
>blonde eyes
It is absolutely possible for someone with blue eyes to have brown eyed genes and while rare, it is also possible for two blue eyed people to have a brown eyed child.
If Hereditary came out closer to award season (maybe in like October or November) she probably would have been nominated. Hereditary was seriously better than half of the Best Picture nominees this year.
It's possible, but only when the mother is a cheating whore.
>>toni collette didn't get nominated for best actress and win
This genuinely angers me.
I want to watch this with my gf, but her mother is fucked up in the head and she gets emotional when we bring things up about her
this film is amazing and everybody ive convinced to watch it IRL have also said it was amazing. ppl who dislike it are so dumb lol
She didnt get nominated and Lady Gaga did. Fuck the oscars
yeah, totally, right?! hahaha
haha yeah
Hate to tell you this user. Your mom cheated on your father.
oscars literally are so cringe and meaningless see 130iq actors like joaquin pheonix
moty imo
ofc
hate to tell you this user, but you can't read
Based. I came for Thom Yorke, stayed for Tilda Swinton.
Inherited the brown eyes from grandparents you tards
That ending was fucking haunting.
>TFW the toy story trailer fucked with my brain by using the same music
All eyes are brown. Blue eyes, green eyes and etc are just optical illusions
Paranormal Activity 3
What will you do when the Brapocalypse comes, teevee?
Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately I have already seen both of those already.
mate come on now
>Children only inherit traits from their parents
At least read the Wikipedia article on this shit
Did you pass fucking high school biology?
Ignore the basedboys, this post is based.
shit movie
Damn, Toni Collette looks like THAT??
source?
you're such an idiot lmao
yes, that chart is made for retards like you
Terminator 2
The movie makes it obvious from the start that some sort of cult ritual is happening, only to end in a way that makes it seem like you're supposed to be surprised or shocked. There isn't enough background information to let the audience speculate about the state of things after the conclusion or how this demon would impact life on earth in any way. What threat does this demonic teenager even pose? There's hardly any conflict, tension, suspense or resolution that feels relevant to the cult/demon aspect. All I got from it was, "It was a cult ritual the whole time! Isn't that craaaaazy?!"
At least the special effects and gore were really well done.
Rosemary’s Baby u underage redditor
holy shit are you me
pic related was mrw the naked old people showed up
