>Name films which our BigBoi will outgross
maybe Isn't It Romantic or The Hustle

the first movie was utter shit

go fuck yourselves faggots
I was looking forward to Godzilla but I hope it flops now just to spite you
Alita is kino

Will this be the shin godzilla (2016) version of godzirra?

I heard this one is a lot more action packed than the first, so it could potentially do big business if it delivers epic Kaiju battles.

Movie was shit, but our Boi was glorious when he was on screen.

Seems like the studio had corrected its errors and made the second movie an all monster bash em up. Should be a good time at the cinemas for families.

American BigBoi from 2014.

Shin was a one and done. No sequels.

You Facebook spammers are insufferable, can't even take a joke.

This. Every scene that didn't have Brian Cranston or Godzilla was awful, I really wanted to leave the theater when they cut from the Hawaii fight to kickass's kid and ugly wife.

Let's not fight. We're all in this together against the Mouse.

What a unit

That sound design, though.

Agreed. Honestly I would rather talk about what they could improve over the first Godzilla.

The mutos left a lot to be desired but Godzilla sounded like a beast.

One of the few movies that I’ve ever been hyped for. I’ve been waiting 5 years for this and it’s gonna be Kino. G14 was mediocre but Godzilla’s design was great and the MUTOs were cool, Kong Skull Island was a fun ride with awesome creature designs, G19 is going to be perfect and Godzilla vs Kong might be pretty dope. The Monsterverse is hands down the best cinematic universe.

godzillas roar was way too mechanical

madea

They actually did a fantastic job of designing the roar and keeping it true to the original

I feel bad for Legendary. They're just a production company of rice paddy workers trying to make schlock, but they're currently having to contend with the subversive marketing strategies of Disney.

Blasphemy!

Attached: 1531947509979.png (900x1000, 955K)

WHY DID THEY PUT IN MILLIE BOBBY BROWN?
WHY?
GOD DAMMIT STUDIOS, STOP FUCKING UP.

Detective Pokemon and Godzilla 2 are gonna change the face of that company. In a few years Legendary will be a part of the Big 6, now that Fox has exited the table.

The roars were one thing, but I really loved how heavy everything felt. When buildings would break or be crashed into. Compare the sounds of the beasts simply smashing into shit to say, Godzilla 1998, for instance. In fact I'd say it had better SD than Pacific Rim, as well.

Disney is cancer. I didn't believe in shills until the MCU got big and robotic posts about it were everywhere.

Godzilla (2014) was good. The human characters outside of Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins were terrible, but still.

The Lion King

I really hope after Aladdin flops hard, the general audience will wake up to the lazy live action remake nonsense and turn away from Lion King, which is expected to be a shot by shot remake.

Attached: Godzilla-1 (2).webm (1920x800, 1.49M)

Dark Phoenix is apparently in limbo right now so probably that.

Agreed. Couldn’t they have gotten someone cuter like my wife Sophia Lillis?

All of them.

It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. It just had a bad protagonist problem.

Face it, Yea Forums, you cheered when this happened

Mah man!

I had a big fucking smile on my face in surprise that they're actually gonna do it and was waiting for the normies to react to the badassery that was about to entail on screen

My only issue is how they're hyping up the fight with Kong more than Ghidorah.

Ghidorah is Godzilla's arch nemesis, Kong is a footnote who he'll probably end up allying with since this series is making them both out to be good guys.

One thing it did have was great sound design.

Attached: godzilla-25.webm (720x404, 2.38M)

I want this movie to be good but there are a lot of red flags going against it. Most specifically the human cast which is awful.

She's not your wife wtf

Music to my ears. That was one of the greatest experiences in IMAX.

Only a little bit.

STOP BULLYING MUTO's

>My only issue is how they're hyping up the fight with Kong more than Ghidorah.

+1

Ghidorah is should have been the big bad. He literally has 3 dragon heads to kill. Absolutely no one is expects or wants Kong to win the fight, so the hype is lacking.

Goji vs Kong should have been part 2 with the big monster mashup saved for the last film.

How good actually are the Heisei and Millennium movies? I only saw a few of them once as a kid and they didn't stick with me as much as the 60s and 70s ones.

Start with the 1954 original.

After that if you like goofy, stick to Showa. If you like serious go to Heisei.

I already love the original, and I'm not partial to goofy Godzilla, I just said they didn't do much for me as a kid. I want to revisit them as an adult.

I'm so fucking HYPED for this kino. Even the posters are GOAT

Did she go through surgery to fix her trademark olsen upturned nose

Heisei is some bad mixed with good, but they average out to a decent storyline. What makes Heisei unique is that it's a serialized narrative where each movie leads into the next and everything that happens in later movies is built upon what happened previously. So even if one of the installments is not great, it at least contributes to the narrative and gets the story moving toward the big finale (and Heisei actually has a solid conclusion).

Millennium is a series of one-offs where the directors were allowed to pick and choose what older movies they wanted in their continuity and which they could skip. Most do nothing with that freedom and most of the films are generic and forgettable.

Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins were both good and underused as fuck. Olsen was more or less eye-candy and wasn't properly used.

Toho president didn't allow any bloodshed in the showa films because they noticed the films were popular among kids and wanted to keep it wholesome fun instead of gory.

A bit of blood in a film which children will watch isn't too bad but I guess the Japs feel different about it.

It was good, but the pacing is horrible.
One of the few Godzilla I hate to rewatch because it takes way too long to start. Not to the mention the choice of cutting the aiport fight, it's like cutting the T-rex entrance in Jurassic Park

Attached: 1540858626474.jpg (1000x625, 573K)

Is it just me or is Godzilla moving too quick to the point it looks silly. I loved how slow and weighty everything was in 1 and here it feels almost cartoonish

Attached: keyboardfroggo.jpg (1000x800, 61K)

Kong is a bigger name for westerners so it makes sense that they're hyping him more than Ghidorah.

But I'm almost 100 % sure that they'll team up against another monster in the climax, because let's face it, in the monsterverse Godzilla is a "good" monster just like Kong.

If the leaks for KOTM are real I can see where they're going with GvK

When the cut the second fight in the city by shutting the barn doors, the audience in my theatre audibly groaned.

The movie would have done gangbuster business if they stuck to the fucking action set pieces and not treat the movie like a trailer for the climax.

wait theres king kong in this godzilla 2 flick

Yeah I thought that the first time I saw it, but it's trailer footage which isn't very reliable. Rest of the footage looks heavy and beefy

No.

Attached: godzilla-52.webm (1280x544, 2.93M)

Fucking this. It was just pointless. It's not Jaws. We all know what the monster looks like. You're not creating mystery or suspense, you're just fucking with the audience. I absolutely hate that movie and will forever hate Edwards as a hack.

So much worse than the Japanese opening.

Weeb pls.

Arent those Warner Brothers?

Your taste is utter shit

I wouldn't mind if there was an actual fight before that, but yeah the movie was a huge blue balling fest

This will be the first movie I've gone to see in the theatres since Logan

orbital bombardment is too good for hollywood

Fellas I've been waiting for a Godzilla movie like this my entire life. Dougherty is going to handle this movie spectacularly and is an actual big Godzilla fan which is a huge plus. The scenes look aesthetic, the scale is glorious and the action seems out of this world. I don't know why I have such a onions spot for Godzilla but I'm gonna see it opening night and wear my Godzilla merch.

Such a onions spot***

Damn

based

I hope vs Kong is just as cool. A part of me wishes they filmed in New York and Tokyo for it, specifically New York for a scene of Kong completely destroying the Empire State Building rather than climbing up it cause he will be so massive

the guy who made deathnote netflix edition is directing, not getting my hopes up
