Is this kino or just eh?

Personally thought it was a good watch, few crappy scenes, girlfriend subplot could've been handled better. What does Yea Forums think?

onle scenes worth watching are the ones with JK in them

It was absolutely kino. Even my boomer dad liked it lmao And Chazelle still hasn't topped it and probably never will, mark my words.

is this a documentary about Snidely?

Yeah it was good. The romance is an obvious blight but whatever. Everything JK does is gold.

>girlfriend subplot could've been handled better.
?
it was handed perfectly, what would you change?

Max Teller has weird shoulders in this movie

It has its moments.

Director is a tryhard, movie drags out a bit too long

it was tight and concise and dark and entertaining. it was the perfect move for me tbqh

still not sure if he was russian or dragon

Happy ending was lame and not believable

it was kino and realistic, c'mon, not every ending has to be muh nihilism muh downer. it was realistic all things considered.

I don't think it was realistic. The ridiculous extents to which Jona Jameson goes to to humiliate Teller just seem too far for me, makes him look comical. And the way Miles rises to the challenge doesn't feel earned at all.
Still a good movie and it's all worth it for the drumming scenes alone

La La Land tackled a lot of the same ideas and was quite a lot more enjoyable imo.

Whiplash was still pretty fucking great though

>The ridiculous extents to which Jona Jameson goes to to humiliate Teller just seem too far for me, makes him look comical
He humiliated every student tbf and Andrew made him lose his job on top of that. It seems fit with his character.

yea but la la land is for girls and faggots

I really liked Whiplash, I watched La La Land recently and it was good but I still think Whiplash is his best and would be difficult to top.

i'm a fag just for the goose desu

It's a documentary about Sneedly

I got the purpose it served but i also didn't give a shit about their relationship

>girlfriend subplot could've been handled better.
I'm thankful it didn't take up half the running time like a shitty movie would have done. A few middling scenes and then she's gone, good. She's just there to show he's willing to sacrifice to pursue his dream.

>I'm thankful it didn't take up half the running time like a shitty movie would have done

Fair enough, I get that.
