>Cute doggo died in front of her >she uses doggo blood as warpaint
I don't know about you guys but for me that was badass as fuck
Hudson Williams
I just came here to say I fucking hate generals and once a movie or tv show gets generals I never ever enter because its full of the same obsessive degenerates who most likely are just waifu orbitering
Reading this at the moment, I only saw Alita for the first time today. I wish they had gone with Cameron's original 3 hour script. I felt the film was way to short, felt rushed and ended prematurely. I still liked it a lot. But it would have benefits from having more time. I don't know why so many in hollywood are obsessed with staying around or under 2 hours.
Xavier Jenkins

Parker Lewis
wtf china, kino posters belongs to EU releases
Levi Edwards
The majority of audiences are complete brainlets, even two hours is too much for a lot of idiots. I'm hoping we get a lot of deleted scenes or alternate cut when it releases physically/digitally
Joseph Perry
I don't recall length being a problem for LotR, hell even The Hobbit movies got away with it.
Colton Lee
Why is it molded like that? You can't even break off small uniform pieces.
Isaiah Nguyen
>Critics 59% It's up to 60% now on Rotten Tomatoes
>Work in BBQ restaurant >Drunk guy walks in >He is loud and gives attitude >Serve him take-away anyway to get him out of there >He fumbles and drops his hot dog and soda on the floor >He demands a refund >Get sad >Kneel down >Dip my finger in some of the hot dog's ketchup and smear it under my eyes >I remember the day shift manager's intro speech on the day I started >"For reasons of guest safety and liability, I do not stand by in the presence of a spill!" >Drunk guy rages and throws up >Jump up on the counter to not get puke on my shoes >Drunk guy runs into the 7/11 next door >"COME INTO MY WORLD" >Manager stops me >Security guard finally arrives on his bike >”Sorry, if he hasn’t committed any felonies, theft or damage, I can’t detain him in the 7-11.” >An old-timey guest calmly walks out of your restaurant and into the 7-11 >After a couple of minutes he comes out with the drunk guy meekly in handcuffs >Turns the old-timey guest was an off-duty cop and was able to talk the drunk guy down >"I compete in the Great Hampshire Sausage and Pie Competition with my sausages every year, and I hate to see your world class hot dogs go to waste, user"
What's RT doing? They're supposed to keep it at 59% as per their agreement with Captain Marvel's marketing department. They need to fix this right fucking now.
Easton Davis
Later on Rodriguez explains the running lenght as a budget thing.
>His script rewrite had been built with two budget constraints in mind. Firstly, that without Cameron's name attached as the director, the budget was going to have to drop. The second was technical: Cameron wanted to make a photo-realistic CG character in 2005, which seemed somewhere between ambitious and madness. This meant that whatever Rodriguez wrote, whatever the budget, there was no sparing any expense on Alita herself. "She's the lead character," he said. To make her look as good as possible in every frame, "I had to have a two hour movie."
I guess I can understand this, but it still really hurts. This film really did feel short. I was actually shocked when it ended. Films like this need to be over 3 hours. The world is so immersive and the more you are immersed the better it gets and more runtime helps that.
Also based Cameron made this unrelated statement that I respect.
>Rodriguez compares that to a famous, fantastical moment from his own film, 1995's Desperado. "A guy picks up a guitar case and fires a missile. I don't think an audience really needs to know how it works. The dream logic of it works. But that doesn't work with Jim. He'd be like, 'How does that work? How did that reload? How did that fire without blowing up in his hand? I don't buy it, I don't believe it. It just pulls me out of the movie.'"
Aiden Cooper
>felt rushed The part where Ido suits up Alita definitely felt incomplete. There was probably a missing scene that forced Ido to allowed Alita to race in rollerball.
Henry King
by being 2 hours they may have kept the budget low enough to allow it to get enough $$$ to get a sequel.
Lincoln Thompson
Cameron did an interview around 2005 (can't remember where I saw it) where he said if he ever got around to filming Alita and the first one wa successful, he had plans to film 2 and 3 back to back. Considering that all the technology for creating Alita already exists now, if we do get a sequel we could get a lot more Alita content because of just how much cheaper it'll be to produce
Jace Wilson
>Alita is named after some gay cripple shit/10 not even named after Idos dead cat
No. Unless you guys paid in full for the removal of the want-to-see metric, we're keeping it above 59%
Evan Lopez
So how old is Alita supposed to be? I figured that in the first body Ido gave her she was like 14, and then when she gets her battle body she turns to like 18. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's kinda weird she has the voice of a 30 year old
Henry Reyes
Same here, my cinema was almost empty, saw it today as well. Do you live in Australia maybe we were at the same cinema.
Fucking plebs will probably fill Captain Footfungus seating to the brim though.
Daniel Ward
It doesn't need to be over 3 hours. It just needs to be a series. There has to be at least 1 or 2 more movies. There is so much story to tell and world to explore with what Cameron and Rodriguez made. The only shame is that Cameron isn't focusing his full efforts on this. Imagine if he were planning on making 5 Alita films instead of 5 Avatar films? It makes me want to petition or plead to him, please make more Alita and put Avatar on hold
Luis Richardson
Is China the superior race now?
Grayson Rodriguez
300 years old, she fought in the great battle before the Fall
Ethan Robinson
>movie goes out of my local cinema after this week OH NO NO NO
Also, concerning the complaints that the movie was too short, or felt incomplete...
This movie was so good that everyone seems to have forgotten the reputation of Anime films. This project was no doubt seen as a risk and gamble by the studio. There's no way they would have let it be close to 3 hours unless James Cameron's named was attached as director. So instead this movie was more of a preview of what's possible, the end leaves you wanting more because that's the point, and depending on how audiences and the box office reacts, there will be more to come
Mason Nguyen
Ok, I meant biologically. I remember Ido's assistant saying "I suppose she's a bit older than you imagined she was" as her battle body was reassessing itself to reflect her unconscious image of herself
Daniel Stewart
Are cinema runs normally this short? I saw it today but actually wanted to see it next week. When I went to check times I noticed that my cinema has plans to stop showing it soon, and then next week every room is just playing Captain Footfungus.
Carter Barnes
>Lego 2 $9.8M
It wasn't a bad movie, so why is it so low?
Henry Sullivan
Is Alita going to make it to 350 million? Its pretty much done in NA and it will barely reach 65 million, 70 million at the most. It still needs to make another 100 million after that and its almost ending its run in every market but China. I never really paid attention to Chinese numbers so I don't know if 100 million more is possible during its remaining run.
John Nguyen
This. It was the most beautiful "tech demo" I've ever seen in my life. Anime kino is definitely on the menu now.
Benjamin Sullivan
The flashback scene where the original Alita is killed was honestly retarded. Why did she came out to see what a disturbance was anyways? Felt a bit contrived. Also why did the guy decide to bowl her over? I like the film but stuff like this prevents it from being a 10 for me. It's a good film, but with problems.
Henry Turner
It'll reach at least $400m, the dream is $500m but it's going to be a long road to be able to achieve that. What we do know so far is that at every turn Alita has been outperforming expectations
Thomas Rivera
>how audiences and the box office reacts, there will be more to come I think it's safe to say the movie broke even and it probably generated a profit But it's a fan favourite, everyone who has watched her has fallen in love with Alita That's a sign of a special film Combine it with the fact that she had to fight an uphill battle since the first trailer with the critics bad mouthing and burying her at every chance and the general public apathetic or skeptical towards her and you understand the magnitude of Alita's success This film is a huge triumph, it hasn't surpassed Avatar financially but it has conquered our hearts and minds in a way no other film has ever done in decades A sequel of Alita is a sure hit
Adrian Lee
It got $65M debut in china; so based on previous movies that got roughly the same debut number, Alita could reached more than $200M by the end of its China run.
Captain Marvel will COMPLETELY kill it though, this is the last weekend anyone will see Alita.
Xavier Cox
these posts may not get many (you)s but they make me smile every time, thank you user
Nicholas Bell
looks to curdled-y for my taste
Dominic Johnson
>by end of its China run when will this be? as in at what point will the box office figures basically be finalised?
Matthew Myers
In NA yes, but in China CN can definitely open lower than Alita’.
Jason Roberts
Capeshit and it's fucking brainless fanbase needs to be removed from the planet. Imagine this decade of film had we not had that shitty Iron Man film in 2008. Imagine a Capeshitless 2010's.
What sucks is Disney are trying to repeat the Favrueu success by getting him to do a Nu Wars tv show as well. I hope the Mandalorian fails.
Isaiah Carter
Yep. They'll never get a sequel and they'll never make it to #100. So sad.
Without Iron Man we'd still have X-Men and the DC stuff. Chances are DC would be even bigger because they wouldn't have had Avengers to try and fail to copy.
Ian Mitchell
China are pretty much straight-forward, if the number of attendees drops too low they'll close further screening. If not they'll extend more screens. For instance, Solo stopped screening during the second week at most china theater.
Angel Miller
>A world without The Dark Knight Rises I wouldn't want to live in it.

>Work in repair shop >Just was able to start a little Kawasaki that I'd been working on as a pet project in slow periods >Laid-off employee with a grudge comes in and kicks over a trashcan >"I got a new recip saw! Wanna see?" >Before anyone manages to respond, he takes it to the Kawasaki and cuts a whole in the oil tank >Feel sad >Kneel down >Dip my finger in some of the motor oil >Smear some under each eye >I remember employee training >"I do not stand by in the presence of an oil spill!" >He jumps into the inspection pit >I follow >"WELCOME TO MY WORLD" >"This is where I used to work"
Capeshit was more tolerable in the 2000's though, because it was actually well known Superhero's and not the fucking D grade rejects featured in the MCU. And it was also limited to trilogies for the most part, and only came out once every few years, and didn't completely dominate a years lineup. They were also done by competent directors and at least looked visually interesting most of the time.
There was the Raimi Spiderman trilogy, of which I only saw the first two. Nolan's Batman trilogy, which I only saw each years after release on plane flights and stuff, and one Hulk film which was fun, one shitty Superman film and that Smallville show, and only a few X Men films, and while I only saw the first two X Men films, they were kinda decent. Then in the back catalog. All you had was the 70's Superman movies which were alright, and the 80's/90's Batman films which I never bothered with. I guess they did pick up with more frequency in the 2000's over previous decades, but it was still manageble, until 2008 fucked everything up and they became yearly occurrences, drowning out everything else, and we get all these subpar characters and lame cross over shit shoved down our throat.
Noah Walker
Is it that straight-forward? I tried to do some reading, but with the import quotas, hybrid system and profit-sharing schemes I still don't know how it works. I read somewhere that foreign movies on import quota are given limited time in Chinese theaters and are sometimes extended - but if not it's a hard cut-off.
Parker Ramirez
imagine working for years on a multimillion dollar project just for it to be thrown out after 2 weeks kek
> because it was actually well known Superhero's Yeah, like Daredevil, Elektra and The Punisher, .
Asher Phillips
i feel like nobody really cares about the movie and everyone is just waiting for SFM porn
Isaiah Hill
You're forgetting all of the bottom of barrel capeshit, like the Fantastic Fours, Punishers, and Ghost Riders. One-off crap like Catwoman and Daredevil. The average superhero/CBM today is much better than it was 15 years ago.
Austin Murphy
Nic Cage Ghost Rider is wacky kino.
Jace Rogers
To be honest, I didn't even know they were superhero when they came out. Certainly weren't marketed as capeshit, and I actually saw The Punisher too. I thought it was an action movie like Rambo or Die Hard or someshit.
Does he even have superpowers? I can't remember, I only saw it once. To be honest I wouldn't consider it capeshit if the person has no powers.
Oh your right I did forget Fantastic Four, also Incredibles. I guess there was a lot. But still, it feels like more capeshit trash comes out in a single year now than it did in the entire last decade.
>Ghost rider
I didn't know that was capeshit either I thought he was, a fucking ghost, I thought it was some supernatural horror action flick.
Jaxon Kelly
They know a Marvel movie will make them a lot more money, so of course they'll drop Alita for it.
Luis Green
Capeshit =/= superpowers. You don't need any to be a cape character. Punisher's power is killing thousands of people and getting away with it.
Ayden Gonzalez
>I thought it was some supernatural horror action flick. Yes. Ghost Rider is that. He's also a comic book character by Marvel Comics.
Andrew Robinson
The second Ghost Rider was watchable by how OTT it was (directed by the Crank guys) >Does he even have superpowers? Punisher's superpower is unrepentant righteousness
Anthony Roberts
Even as mediocre films, it was better when "comic movies" were their own standalone things, instead of a decades long run of the same studio using the same formula on their next superhero character. It's gotten so frequent and stale that the term "capeshit" was coined and instantly stuck
Luke King
>want to go see it in IMAX >my theater only has IMAX with 3DEEEEE Is it worth it?
William Kelly
>Sam Elliots character decides to "ride one last time" with Ghost Rider >think you're going to get some awesome finale where the grizzled old cowboy joins the upstart Ghost Rider take down the bad guy >instead he literally just rides alongside Ghost Rider for like a kilometer then leaves
What a serious case of blue balls
Kevin Stewart
back then superhero movies seemed more like a number of parties all trying to tap from the same well while now everyone is just drinking from the same giant borehole
Juan Scott
Yes, do it
Cooper Mitchell
Well you've convinced me. Why not? I haven't seen a 3D movie since Avatar anyway
Wyatt Wilson
It's like pottery, it rhymes.
Hunter Fisher
It's getting bumped from IMAX by the Apollo 11 doc, but it's still at fucktons of non-imax theaters in my city.
Connor Brown
for what its worth, I just saw it yesterday in regular vision even though I had the option to see it in 3D, and I regret my decision now because its the sort of movie that would really work to get the full "immersive" experience.
Jack Ward
I love when she asks Hugo if he wants to try out her new touch sensitivity and he asks if she can feel him touching her arms and she whispers "yes"
Benjamin Sullivan
Big theaters mostly abides by the rule, but the rest are more concern at just making money. Besides, fucking around with foreign movies always get a pass in China.
So far Disney doesn't push lots of ads for Captain Marvel in China unlike Black Panther. 'Completely' killing Alita is highly unlikely at this point.
James Hughes
how are these threads still going? this movie doesn't even have an Adam Driver. some spic fag kid
Really? Not that fakey postproduction 3D like in Winter Soldier and most other capeshit? Don't fuck with me user, I just missed my last chance yesterday...
Adam Lee
You pea brain, you really thought this Alita hype was just another Yea Forums meme.
Brody Lewis
Getting pushed out by Dragon 3 in Russia. Lots of people complaining they didn't get to see it.
Jace Foster
yup, nicest 3D I've seen since Avatar. Sorry that you missed out
Alita threads really are full of boomers. Why is that, patternal feelings kicking in? Cunnybros?
Jayden Roberts
I can't really blame you, these retards hyped this movie up as some kind of waifu fest when in reality that's just a bonus; the real draw here is the James Cameron level tech on display throughout the whole movie imo. The VFX alone were worth the price of admission.
Jaxson Williams
Trying to classify your opponent is not a valid argument.

I need some help lads. A girl I like really loves Alita and went to see it with me recently (seen it 4 times already wants to see it again with me) and is asking for recommendations for other manga/anime like it. She already watched the two OVAs and is reading the manga and I've given her Ghost In The Shell to watch so far and I have a few other ideas but I was hoping you guys could give some more input?

I love you user.

Planetes Samurai Champloo Haibane Renmei If she has tolerance for the ridiculously awesome super robots and romance mix, then RahXephon and Gurren Lagann
David Stewart
Space Cobra adventure, Galaxy express 999, Cyborg 009, Jin roh
I was on the fence about that one but it couldn't hurt I guess.
Thanks for the recommendation friendo.
Thanks for the recommendations guys. My main problem wad drawing a blank having been put under pressure to provide a list.
I'm not quite pathetic enough to larp like this. But your Chad power is appreciated. I shall use it well. Galaxy express 999 and cyborg 009 are some of my favourites, I was debating recommending those since I didn't want to show my power level too early on.
She already watched the ova and doesn't like it as much as the movie or the manga. I've not heard of now and then here and there before but it's going on the list it looks like.
Jace Brown
do you know Parasite Dolls, AD Police and Bubblegum Crisis?
Brandon Richardson
>#65 /ABAG/ and running >3D showing has left their theatre >still hasn't seen Alita yet lmao at you losers.
I've heard of bubblegum crisis but not the others. I've bend meaning to look into it more actually along with Dirty Pair.
Jeremiah Howard
Not as dumb as you spamming these threads with the same retarded posts.
Carson Parker
Dirty Pair is agood try also Haibane renmei, The Animatrix and Gunsmith Cat
Josiah Thompson
This is one of the few recent movies I've been excited to buy in 4K (the other is Spider-Verse)
Asher Hernandez
The one thing I don't understand about James Cameron is why he didn't opened up his very own visual effect studio. He's well known as an insane VFX junkie and renowned designers would immediately jumped at the chance of working under his wing, forming the studio would be most easiest thing in the world. The studio would only require to do minimal advertisement for the VFX contracts to roll in. Missed opportunity really.
Joshua James
tfw have seen this kino five times but have only just found out that it is in IMAX 3D fairly close, have no idea how I didn't realise that before. I've seen it in 3D already, never seen an IMAX movie before is it worth it? Also although I love this movie to bits and would happily watch it again I feel like I know the movie inside out so unlike the first few times where I was seeing new things I didn't pick up on before I'm not sure it will be enough of a new experience to justify it
I saw it once in standard and once in dolby imax 3d. I told myself i wouldnt see it again after the 3d, but goddammit i want more anons!!! Debating to go see it again in standard. What do??
Watched Alita today for the last time before its out of the theaters. got to enjoy it in imax3d. I noticed at the end of the movie she was using a motorball body instead of the URM one.
Ayden Hill
I'd forgotten all about the Animatrix, that would be perfect. I'll check the other ones out too.
That's going in the list too then.
Isaiah Adams
See it the way you feel you would have a better experience with.
Lucas Lopez
Watch a matinee or on cheap Tuesday
Isaac Perry
Ergo Proxy and for good some laugh Excel Saga
Joseph Bell
I'd be living the dream of I was dating her properly user. We've been out together twice now but I've not sacked up and told her how I feel yet. Maybe after the third one I'll tell her. I just don't want to risk ruining what we have now if she isn't into me like that.
Oliver Rogers
Two more days and I will go again. And i start read manga.
Hunter Barnes
>she was using a motorball body instead of the URM one I asked the same thing a few days ago, they told me it was just protective padding Which makes sense because without the beserker she couldn't generate the blue plasma
Lincoln Long
There's gonna be a long waiting game after we're out of cinemas and before the blu rays drop and I wanted to just say that I've loved these threads as some of the comfiest ones on Yea Forums. Thanks everyone for the posts. Still have to get to #100.
>Maybe after the third one I'll tell her Oof, I won't give you advice because I'm a perma virgin Can please someone help this dude so he doesn't blow his chance??
Nathaniel Reed
>#99 Fixed
Jack Russell
Jesus christ is this really going out of theatres everywhere so soon? This movie on just came out.
Fuck I am so mad, this is the first film in over a year not about capeshit, the first decent budget interesting film since BR2049 to be released and it's getting snubbed and urposfully pushed out of the limelight like this. They are trying to kill it on purpose. Fuck this.
I really hope 2020 kills capeshit. So much kino coming out next year for capeshit to compete against. It's gonna be a renaissance. I've even noticed non film buff family members complaining that there are no interesting films out anymore, just super hero crap. My grandparents told me it was the first time they didn't visit the cinema even once all year last year.
John Diaz
I bought a tablet so I can read her manga
Wyatt Edwards
When we hit #99, the sequel is confirmed. When we hit #100, Mauscucks eat the bluray.
Connor Williams
>Jesus christ is this really going out of theatres everywhere so soon? It's been 3 weeks user, seems standard procedure to me (at least where I live)
Isaiah Butler
and when the hit #69, Alita will become real and be my daughter!
Based well meaning user You're already hanging out, don't need to make it awkward with a declaration of love or anything. Either she makes googly eyes when you googly eye her, and you go in for a kiss whenever the time is right, or accept that you're going to be platonic friends.
Bentley Sanders
Help me In what chapter/volume is explained what happened during Operation Maulwurf?
Sebastian Davis
Thanks man. I know what I should be doing more or less I just don't want to tell her how I feel and then risk ruining the pretty solid friendship we've built up if she's not into me that way
Gabriel Sullivan
I'm sure movies last longer than 3 weeks honestly. Aren't most movies supposed to screen for a few months at least. Is that how it is now with capeshit, just big opening then complete drop off afterwards with no chance of word of mouth to take effect?
I've been kinda playing it safe that way so far. We've had a couple of minor moments like that and after finding out that I don't mind physical contact she said that she wanted to hug me. I'm hoping these are all signs in my favour but I don't want to overthink things and misinterpret them.
Sebastian Garcia
>everything was clear before I met you >why did you do it? >because I love you >thank you for saving me Powerful stuff
>she said that she wanted to hug me Sounds it could be a budding relationship. Good luck, user.
Hunter Gray
If you have the opportunity to see it with an upgraded experience (ie bigger screen), then i would totally do it. Ive seen it in imax 3d, but now theyre only showing in standard so its be kind of a let down for me. But anything to support her is welcome. Also pic related is so kino on imax 3d.
>tfw poor doggo didn't stand a chance Is the dog robot guy going to build him again?
Jordan Nguyen
I'd give her Trigun for more drama and Ranma 1/2 as an antidote for when you want something light and positive together. Lad I know this is really difficult but it will be better for your self-respect and for earning respect from her for you to communicate your interests without vagueness or ambiguity. Otherwise you are not preserving a friendship of any kind, let alone a solid one.
Thank you user. I really hope everything works out well.
Grayson Rogers
Its only out of IMAX 3d, which is normal after 3 weeks. I went yesterday (3rd time). And it was actually pretty busy, which suprised me as it was Wednesday late evening. Its still on in other cinemas.
Oliver Adams
Yes search dog lives there is easter egg in youtube.
Jonathan Scott
You're right. I guess I've been subconsciously telling myself that. I'm just scared that she'll reject me. I know it's not the end of the world if she does though I'm just being a little bitch about it. After we go out together next time I'm going to tell her how I feel.
Christopher Scott
Its not in 3d anymore :( the experience just wouldnt be the same!
Leo Taylor
hows the manga
Thomas Adams
Nah, attached picture is what's left of the doggo Poor pupper
yeah, it's no wonder China loves the movie so much
Luis Allen
pretty short, pretty sweet.
>sub-100 chapters >long nigger what are you talking about. even counting Last Order and Mars Chronicles so far, its still sub-300 chapters
Easton Lopez
Dumbass, any movie with heavy cgi looks better in 3d. Also did you forget James Cameron basically developed the technology, of course his film would benefit from it and use it correctly
Luis Lopez
According to the art book Alita has three different bodies throughout the film: her cybergirl(doll) body, her berserker(URM) body, and her motor ball body.
James Cameron and Guillermo del Toro had time for it. What's your excuse?
Xavier Bennett
Go be niggers somewhere else.
Jaxon Cox
>can't take a joke

Goddammit that's cute.

Why would anyone by hyped for this turd in China? Who wants to watch a bitchy, ugly mutt with little relation to MCU? Anyone can explain the chink logic to me?
Sebastian Moore
>Merkt das zwölfte Stück, ob du raschlich mit ihm enden will. So nehm dein Gewehr und Schwert zusammen im Futteral, und schraub dein bionischen Arm ab und werf ihn heftig nach ihm. Nach der Werfen lauff auf ihn zu und nütz Panzerkunst oder Gewehr, je nachdem, was du am besten passt.
Carson Hernandez
Uhh, I've got a JOB?
Nicholas Jackson
>little relation to the MCU the movie literally ties to Endgame at the end
Easton Price
It's going out of my theater anytime soon, I don't know where these people live from some very small theaters maybe? it's still the 2nd highest grossing film at the moment so that makes no sense

you just need to watch the post credit scene
Lucas Cox
Yesterday after work I waited for the Mirelli chocolate bars I ordered to arrive and then grabbed an orange and drove 140 miles to a Dolby Cinema to watch Alita before it disappears from the premium screens this week. It was really something to see it in HDR like that. There were subtleties in light and color that I hadn't even noticed before, like the shock of purple in one of the cyborg's hair or the brilliant reflection of light from the Damascus blade illuminating Zapan's face when he unsheathes it for the first time.
The film went by so quickly and it was my seventh time overall seeing it. Exciting as hell.
Afterward I drove 40 miles to a proper IMAX and saw it again in 3D there, sitting close to the screen in the third row. Absolutely astounding how that changes the experience, when camera zooms in to Alita's eye and it takes up the entire 70ft. You talk about "big eyes." Seventy feet in 3D for goodness sake. By the end of the film I started relaxing my own eyes. It was a long day.
Please don't miss this last opportunity today to see it in a proper IMAX or Dolby Cinema. Take the day off work if you can afford it. Say you have an appointment about your heart. Bring an orange and some chocolate. Now go.
are there paid shils for this film? It's not like there are 65 threads worth of discussion
Jonathan Bailey
At my place no movie stays more than 3 weeks Some disappear after one week I was afraid that Alita would too but work of mouth worked and because she's awesome it stayed I hope it stays a long time and makes big profit, it deserves every penny I hope I'm wrong too and stays a fourth week at my place too
Ian Rodriguez
You jest but a lot of people unironically feel this way. I'm one of them
Jason Bell
Is your heart so shriveled and cold that you cannot imagine thee being people who might actually like something?
Kevin Morales
Personally I do it for free, I don't think there are paid shills for Alita here, she is just so good
Blake Nguyen
This gook nigger also thought Alita would underperform by a lot. This image should be taken with a grain of salt
Xavier Turner
battle angel goes everywhere and is fine last order is awesome except fucking vampires martian chronicles is shit, but its not finished yet
Alexander Perez
is it really just about people wanting to fuck her?
Matthew Allen
Maybe more important than your feelings are your desires. What you want from her. Women seldom try to guess what a man wants. They do not want to take the risk of guessing wrong. It's a big burden of thought for them. They appreciate being told. It may seem to you obvious what you want, but women will create all kinds possibilities in their head which make them unsure unless you communicate exactly without vagueness or ambiguity what you like about them and what you want from them,
Bentley Gray
Not that many of us wanna fuck her desu. This attention she's getting seems more like adoration rather than lust.
Angel Hughes
When she gets the berserk body and kisses doctor Ido
Jason Watson
I don't speak for anyone but for me it's not sexual. She's so cute and pure, she's like an angel, divine, perfect yet fragile and human. I'm not good enough for her but she makes me want to be a better person and fix my life. Objectively it is an awesome movie.
Jonathan Morgan
Not really. She's more like our adoptive daughteru.
I can say that I was honestly getting tired of movies before watching Alita. It awoke in me that childhood feeling of awe that I haven't felt since the mid 90's. When the movie was over I wanted more.
Jaxon Garcia
Is there another character in the history of cinema or any person in all of existence who has ever opened their eyes in the morning and started the day with as much wonder, awe, excitement, and joy as Alita does in the beginning of this film?
I cannot believe how much it astounds me and alights my mind to think of how such an experience is possible. I have never felt that way before, and yet I feel like maybe I have experienced something like it a long time ago when I was child, but never with such intensity that Alita does.
do you think Brie Larson has or will watch it? she want female representation and poc on cinema
Jonathan Rogers
>Shad, the madman, actually fucking did it.
Jaxson Perry
>Is there another character in the history of cinema or any person in all of existence who has ever opened their eyes in the morning and started the day with as much wonder, awe, excitement, and joy as Alita does in the beginning of this film? It's actually fairly common in Japanese stories. This is what anime is. Jimbo and Rob made anime real.
I agree, it's unlike anything else I've seen before, people who haven't watched her movie don't understand and probably some of those who watched her don't feel this way It's magical >I've seen it 8 times and every time it's amazing I've seen it 4 and I'm going for 2 more this week, 6 in total I wonder if there are many of us who can't get enough of her and if our combined autism is making a difference
Like every other MCU movie? It's supposedly just a post credits scene. You can save yourself the money and just read about it on internet when CM comes out. The only unskippable MCU movies are Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and arguably GotG. The other MCU movies don't hold much importance to the overarching story.
Ian Gutierrez
and it is completely unrelated to the Creme Caramel flan which is the proper flan in this context. You might as well be posting savory flans, you magnificent retard.
Based China colony. Most of domestic gross is probably coming from Canada as well.
Alexander Scott
honestly they should probably release the whole scene as advertisement doesn't spoil much and it kills the idea right away that the eyes don't work
Carter Collins
This. I truly believe Shad has a lot to do with Alita's success in Straya
Jason Collins
Doubt it. I've gone 4 times and the theaters have either been half full or dead empty. The weather is deterring a lot of people. Lots of boomers are watching it here though.
Zachary Walker
What is IMAX? What's the difference with 3D?
It seems there is only 1 IMAX in my country, I'd like to know if it's worth driving 4 hours to watch Alita there.
Today's the day. I finally am making the trip to go see Alita in IMAX, have hardly slept I'm so excited.
Leo Cruz
Make the Mars Technocracy real? Y() N()
Jonathan Evans
Agreed.
Benjamin Jenkins
Bigger screen that takes up more of your field of view and much louder and nicer speakers.
Justin Cooper
Bigger screen
Jack White
Do you think her dad tested her vagina after making it?
Jack Rivera
Draw, pilgrim.
John Scott
Yes. For the Omnissiah
Thomas Torres
The screen is a lot bigger and its a lot louder. IMAX is completely worth it and Alita is one of the few films since Avatar that's actualy deserving of it. Travel to IMAX if you must. I spent an 2 and a half hours travelling to mine and it was completely worth it.
Caleb Torres
I mean, if the people of Mars decide to become a technocracy. What is earth gonna do? SEND somebody up there?
Gavin Walker
>I'd like to know if it's worth driving 4 hours to watch Alita there. Yes.
We will NEVER fuck off. Fuck off, you dirty mouse-shill.
Lucas Garcia

Jaxson Kelly

Evan Murphy

Dylan Lewis
There's also ScreenX, it's an immersive set of 3 screens, one in the front and two on the side. There's also 4DX, it's moving seats, vibrations, flashes, rain droplets etc...

REINFORCEMENTS ARE HERE BOYS LETS GET TO 100!!
Was anyone creeped out by slightly intrigued by what happened to Dr. Cherin
William Garcia
>Well not only that, but in many of the scenes, the image is uncropped to 16.9 instead of 2.35. This is actually kind of annoying because it's not consistent and keeps switching between scenes.
Matthew Thompson
i met her yesterday at a party and we chatted about, she knew i was waiting this movie for a shitload of time. then i told her that she should go see it (mainly thinking about how shitty she would have felt, being reminded of us the whole movie, and the dog scene), but she was like "i don't want to go alone and i don't have anybody to go with before tuesday" (when movie is going to be pulled off from theater). soooooooooooo after i tried to convince her to go alone or with her friends i let myself out a "do you want to go together?", she said yes. goddammit i fucked up
Kayden Hill
>No freedom, no fun strange considering their convicts
Xavier Bell
Yes, the fourth time when I noticed that her eyes adjusted to the light and focused on Vector when he opened the horror box Nightmare fuel
Landon Moore
It broke with the manga, but it was still fucked up. Did you see how her eyes moved?
Ayden Jackson
That was pretty stupid. And physically impossible.
Jose Martin
Okay, I want you guys to savour this right now. For probably only one day, thanks to worldwide gross, right now, Alita is the number 1 highest grossing film in 2019 across the globe. It will immediately be taken over tomorrow, but this is where it's at this current moment. Just breath it in.
Does anyone else think this line was a slight jab at capeshit?
Eli Bell
pretty sure the organs are kept alive via technobabble.
Christian Kelly
Yes. For glory of God Machine.
Wyatt Lewis
Based Elon
Elijah Hill

They are all highly skippable films you fucking MCU paypiggy.
Gavin Martinez

Zachary Gray
This. The worst offender in terms of pretending importance is probably Civil War. No consequences whatsoever.
Evan Perry
I feel like Icarus.
Jacob Morgan
i'm going to see it tonight for the fourth time. dude i fucking love this movie but not being distracted during the fifth time seeing it sound bananas
Andrew Peterson
He at least bought two the same model and fucked one before installing the other.
Isaiah Stewart
>they uncropp and play everything in 16:9
Cool. I never knew this. Do IMAX versions of films ever get BD releases? Or any releases at all after showing at IMAX theatres?
Hudson Rogers
Bigger screen, better sound system and more importantly top of the line laser projectors you won't find anywhere else. The visual and audio quality is simply far superior to the non-Imax theaters. Some movies are specifically tailor made for IMAX screens, so you need to see them there to get the intended experience.
Austin Johnson
His projection for Alita this far out was 50m and it made ~65m. By the same token, his projection for CM would have been off by 15m (lower) and made it stand at 60m.
Joshua James
Yeah that's a classic fuck up. You thought about her suffering alone over you and she plainly said she wouldn't and roped you into offering your company.
See how women do that shit? They talk about doing things hypothetically but speak as a matter of fact that they will not do those things alone no matter what. It's never humbling or any kind of admission of loneliness because this language permits you think A) they will do those things with someone or B) they will do something else potentially more exciting with someone unspecified.
It is never expected for a woman to, if she wants to do something, to muster up the courage to do it alone. Ever. If you do have that kind of expectation for her integrity, it's an act of cruelty.
The one exception for that is /ourgirl/ Alita. Alone or with someone, if she wants to do something, she will do it.
Alita brings ex-partners together in much the same way as common children do.
Alita is now your daughter-fu.
Xavier Lee
Just got my Imax ticket, lads. Matinee. Perfect seat. Theater to myself so far. I'll see it in about three hours.
The last time I saw my best friend alive was at a showing of Dr. Strange in 3D. Two days after they discovered his body I found myself walking past the same theater and the posters were still up. I thought I'd never be able to watch a movie on the silver screen again. But I nutted up last week and went to see Alita alone. I walked out of the theater feeling great.
Can't wait to see it in 3 hours. Just wish James could see it with me. There is literally nothing wrong with making an ex feel bad about not being with you. You should do it at every opportunity. And you only want this when she was the one who wronged you.
It depends on how many tickets are being sold. If a movie isn't selling any, it will be pulled early from theaters. Alita is doing decently though so I wouldn't worry unless you live in a smaller town with a small theater.
Samuel Cooper
>There is literally nothing wrong with making an ex feel bad about not being with you. Well yeah if you can do it and not fuck up like user did in offering his company.
Robert Lopez
user wouldn't have offered his company if he hadn't wanted to. He wouldn't have wanted to make her feel bad if he didn't still have feelings for her.
