Only if you're a plotfag. The story was more interesting in 2049 but the original has 100 times more atmosphere and a far better soundtrack. Original Blade Runner is a beautiful experience while the sequel is just a solid sci-fi flick

If I wanted an atmospheric experience with a weak plot, I’d play a video game. The soundtrack for the original is better, I’ll give it that. I was invested in 2049 from start to finish. Original not so much.

Yes. But when the visuals aren’t bolstered by an engaging plot it’s just pictures in a sequence. If I wanted to see beautiful visuals I’d go to an art museum. Hell, some of those paintings tell a more interesting story than most films.
