They say curiosity killed the cat, Ray. And guess what? It did. But what they don't tell you is a cat's got nine lives, and I've got a lot of fucking questions

I told you. I FUCKING told you weeks ago TD S3 will end shit house and everyone will pretend they liked S2 the whole time

They say if the shoe fits wear it Ray, but me? I don't even have fucking feet.

1 > 3 > 2

I like all of them for different reasons and none are bad.

Attached: breaker breaker.gif (320x240, 1.19M)

3 was dog shit. 2 was really good just unnecessarily complex for the sake of complexity. Also gay cop was terrible. Other than that 2 was great and Velcro is relatable as fuck.

Season 2 was a nice neo-noir, right down to the utterly dark and cynical ending that was a little too much to me and felt a little forced in parts, such as Farrell going full retard .. it was still pretty interesting and tense

NIGGER detective

Vince Vaugns funniest performance since Swingers

so whats everybodies beef with Vaughns performance, i think he did a pretty excellent job as coming of as menancing yet likeable and vulnerable

I liked season 3. I also liked season 2. I really love season one. They're all good

he had a difficult job with that role, having to play a vicious gangster that retains our sympathy. i think there could have been better casting choices, but he held his own, for the most part.

No it's still horrible. Gay bike cop is literally in needed filler. He serves zero purpose. And the whole story was half assed. There's signatures all over.

2 is great when you realize the characters are literally in hell

vince is a horrible actor. that's it

Really? I don't remember you saying that, lair.

>Velcro is relatable as fuck.

Indeed.

Everyone here has pretended they liked season two since it aired you retard

at least season 2 hat no shoehorned the light is winning bullshit at the end

season 2 was never bad unless you listened to Yea Forums retards who spam sneed and crosspost on reddit

Attached: edgy.png (610x472, 107K)

It was good, it's just S1 set really high expectations that it couldn't reach.

Fucking damnit I miss him.

that felt very Lynchian

Fucking God Warrior was awesome. Gtfo of here with your shit opinions.

I like the bike, sir

kafkaesque if you will maybe even lovecraftian

Kek. Paul had the most brutal death out of all 3 seasons. Tom went through hell too

Best song and best girl coming through.

Paul's death was kino as fuck

Absolutely haunting.

>dumb mexican nigger logic

Redditors and other mental midgets asked for a rehash of S1 and that’s what they got, it’s going to be hilarious watching them try to brown nose S2 now that what would have been the greatest police series crashed and burned because it was easier to cherry pick trivial details than to try and understand its racial and societal commentary. Casper knew this.

You fucking pleb. S2 has always been good and will plague this board for years to come

Mr. Semyon, I'm VCSO.

The true mystery is what did Ani want to do to her bf

She stuck one of her fingers up his butt and he was caught off guard by it.

>i like big dicks
what did she mean by that?

She was saying what all women think

an user posted that the best true detective moment was when kitsch is riding his bike through the night in the pilot to a particular couplet from this song. that post stuck with me for some reason

fuck should i just rewatch s02

And here's why that's a good thing

Yes it was.

In rewatching 2 now. I’m liking it better now that I’m watching it sober. I couldn’t even figure out what the main crime was when it aired because of how complex it was and how drunk I was. This time around it’s still needlessly complex. There’s too much getting jammed into each episode about ulterior motives and shit. Overall i like it though.

They just told three different cop stories of three different level cops. A city patrolman, a city detective, and a state detective.

Wasn't he just shot in the head? Not that brutal.

Like a dog. And had his pregnant spic missus waiting for him

I like how convoluted it is now, it's like a campy pulp comic book.

>felt a little forced in parts, such as Farrell going full retard
This, combined with Vince getting caught by the Mexicans despite having been extremely careful in covering his tracks, basically ruined the entire season for me. I was fucking loving it, even more than season 1, but that last episode just fucked it all up so bad. And then the epilogue with the two chicks in South America and cop girl has Velcoro's baby...it was just so goddamn gay.

FUCK YOUR SHITUP LARRY BIRD

why do people think it was bad

Attached: hmm.jpg (657x527, 32K)

Same. The fact that Yea Forums made a meme out of mocking such a cool and unique character isn't surprising, though. This place likes to shit on everything that's good.

Dummies

How do you go through life being so absolutely fucking wrong about everything? Do you wear pants on your head and shoes on your hands? You must look like a retard.

You pull off that e-cig. A lot of people do. I tried once, felt like it was smoking me. A real cigarette wouldn't make you feel like that. Maybe it's just a little too close to sucking a robot's dick.

Season 1 was the same way. There were so many goddamn names being thrown around constantly that you could never remember who the fuck they were talking about when they mentioned these names. Plus I still don't know what the main killer's connection was to Tuttle other than mowing the lawns. Was Tuttle aware this guy was murdering people? What was the cult's connection with Tuttle? And what was the meth cooks connection to all this?

>insults with no counter argument
Nice

You must have missed the part where Tuttle had a cult sacrifice video in his vault

No I remember that, I should have been more clear: did Tuttle actually run the cult or what? What was his connection to it?

It was a network of powerful families and Tuttle was one of them. So was Childress.
He was killed so he probably wasn't the most powerful

Did Rachel do all the knife stunts herself?

Attached: Stabby (2).jpg (600x337, 28K)

The killer was Tuttle's bastard grandson. From what I gather Errol, Reggie and Dewall tagged along to the cult meetings when they were younger, and then Errol became autistically obsessed with the carcosa and yellow king mythology, so he set up his own version of carcosa in an abandoned fort and made a yellow king out of bones and sacrificed dozens of women and children to it. The older cult members probably weren't aware of what he was doing except for when he displayed Dora's body, at which point his father probably threatened him which is why he didn't display another body until his dad died.

The part that really fucked it up for me was the complete thematic rejection of redemption it was almost too noir in that sense. Aside from that was a pretty solid story looked good as well.

redemption is generational
as in, the sins of the father are visited upon the son, and it is the duty of the son to redeem the father and himself
the final shot is of ani, pregnant with ray's child, in panama (i think) with jordan. ray's 'lives' are not over.

>that old hollywood music playing during the hooker party infiltration
shit was kino af
fags arguing about the seasons like console wars are cancer and niggers

So Mr. Childress, Errol's dad who was tied to the bed in the shed, was Tuttle's son who there was no record of?
Tuttle also was way too young to have a grandson, so I don't get that.

what is wrong with that line?

Mr. Childress and Tuttle were cousins I believe. They had the same grandfather.

Yea, I think he was Sam Tuttle's son, not Billy Lee Tuttle. We never see Sam Tuttle on screen.

Twin Peaks S3 >>>>>> S3 >>> S2 >> S1 >>>> Whatever you think is better than any of these

pic related is me ordering one hbo go subscription in january and one true detective season 3 blu ray (I already have 1 and 2)

Attached: 1548539726117.jpg (722x666, 43K)

Oh shit that's right, the governor was it? I forgot there was a second Tuttle.

Propaganda being put against it because of the redpills it contains about our society. There were negative reviews saying the same hackneyed bullshit people parrot to this day.

I'm on E05 haven't watched since it aired. The dialogue is so inconsistent holy fuck
>blue balls... for your heart
>half anaconda, half great white
>never do anything out of hunger, not even eat
>the design ____, the design _____, etc.
Then Velcro confronts VV and it's perfectly measured.
>"You gave me a piece of paper with a name on it because you knew what I'd do"
>"I knew what I'd do, I didn't know you at all."
Could have benefited a lot from some minor tweaks imo, maybe make the gaybiker a minor character and leave us wanting more in regards to his backstory.

Agreed.
Vinceposting isn't really laughing at his expense, he didn't write the dialogue.
Based retard.

That's not phisically possible

I liked it as it aired and when it ended. Ray Velcoro's whole arc is fucking kino.

they should have just staid with the first one.
Everything after that is just shit trying to be the first one.

3 was actually great, but we'll have to wait for season 4 to finish before people here feel comfortable admitting it

If you don't enjoy all three seasons, you know where the door is. This show is whatever nic and t bone feel like doing, and that doesnt involve just rehashing s1 every season. Like if you think s1 is so amazing and simultaneously s3 is so bad - how? They are literally all pizzolatto writing start to finish

Pizzo didn't write season 1

more vinceposting pls

3 was a lot more interesting than whatever 2 tried to be

Yes, he did. Replace one or two edgy quotes in the first couple episodes from that pessimist fag with something else edgy. Makes little difference

Pizza didn't write the script, retard. I'm not talking about Ligotti. He stole it from a creative writing student who ended up killing himself so he couldn't even claim plagiarism.

This. It's funny and a bit worrying seeing literal retards parroting the opinions of contrarians.

>He stole it from a creative writing student who ended up killing himself so he couldn't even claim plagiarism.
I keep hearing people say this but I never see a source

Serioysly source? Very big if true

Since when are there women that are gambling addicts?

Slot machines don't count

Attached: stabby.jpg (1280x720, 50K)

vince and mel are based and redpilled. only redditors and tranneis hate them

holy shit lmao. you're getting that twisted with Richard Kelly whose debut 'Donnie Darko' was speculated to have been stolen from his roommate

I'll be honest and say I hardly recall a single thing from S2, but what I do recall is I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it. But S3 was a waste of time. Not unbearable, just mediocre beyond comprehension.

more webms

>But S3 was a waste of time. Not unbearable, just mediocre beyond comprehension.
how so?

!

Was there any significance to Ray shaving the mustache have way through? He definitely looks way less corrupt and dirty without it but I'm wondering if there's some le 2deep4u reasoning too.

Absolute state of season 2 fags

I'm not a season 2 fag. But the mustache thing did occur to me and I know how Pizza can be with his symbolism and shit.

3 was great until the last 20 minutes

just fucking stop dude, jesus

west of the mississippi all cops are required to have mustaches, it's a holdover from the pioneer days. he shaved it when he left the force as is customary.

Attached: 1548421945043m.jpg (627x1024, 119K)

He was in a gunfight and felt like shaving, that's it kek

This. S3 felt too slow just for the sake of being slow.

I remember that sweet birdmasked "cliffhanger" when Velcro gets nonlethal slugged at the end of (iwannasay) ep 2, and outdoors looked way better than in S3

Caspere knew this

>unnecessarily complex for the sake of complexity
That was the point.

Still don't like season 2, but Velcoro was best boy of all seasons.

Attached: CLHb.gif (500x261, 1.97M)

This. We get the world we deserve.

Attached: 00104414675.jpg (1280x720, 195K)

I'd argue that the guy Ani eviscerated died more brutally. But he deserved it.

Biggest mistake was making a straight up criminal into a protagonist and giving him cheesy line after cheesy line.

That's just the plot for season 4.

Yeah. There's something seriously wrong if there are no major reveals during the last 2 episodes.

Ray, never do anything out of hunger, not even eating. Caspere knew this.

You're just saying that because they accidentally spoiled their own finale. Did you forget the massive expositiondump in the finale?

No, it was shit.

>relateble
lmao, just because you're an alcoholic loser, doesnt mean you have anything else in common

based velcro

Been sayin that Season 2 is underrated since before it ended.
The main reason why Season 2 flopped was that Pizzaman wanted to do something different every season, taking inspiration from different writers and all that, but the audience had gotten hooked by philosophical ramblings, mystical themes, and a spectre of some sinister bigger-than-regular-crime cospiracy during Season 1 - and just wanted more of the same stuff.
Season 3 is Pizzo basically delivering on that popular demand - cop duo, southern gothic, missing kids, the "what the hell is actually going on" feeling, the dolls and the unusual pose of the dead boy in the first episodes, and of course that direct reference to Season 1.
But at the same time, Pizzo is an autor and nobody's servant, and the resolution of Season 3 is his way of flipping off those same normies - "syke, buddy, no pedophile rings for you today".
