The problem is that the success of this film is riding on an erratic PR campaign, shored up around a charmless and obnoxious lead actor who is overshadowing the role she is playing and in the process alienating part of the audience who pay to see these movies in the theatres. Captain Marvel, who if rumours are to be believed will be leading the Avengers henceforth, is now synonymous with the tyrannical censorship of free speech. Not very heroic is it?
