Based and redpilled

but WHY?

based and bluepilled.

Wokest.

based and director's cut-pilled

BARP. What was Jerusalem worth, though?

What's the best version to watch?

just for that I will kill you twice when the entropy comes. the first time by ordinary means the second via shame which will involve interfering with your phone so the last thing on it is fag porn

Jerusalem was cringe.... and based

Film was shit. All the based people in real life were portrayed as fucking insane or cowards and the Muslims portrayed as enlightened. Patriarch Heraclius stripped the entire city of church wealth to pay off Saladin from enslaving people yet in the movie he is portrayed like a sniveling telling people to convert and Saladin the enlightened despot.

Based and CRUSADEpilled.
We should invade Jerusalem under the directive of the Pope and kick out all the Jews and Muslims.

It was okay.

it's reddit, especially the directors cut
watching anything other than the theatrical cut of any film is extremely reddit btw

probably my favorite sweeping epic

DC is lawrence of arabia-lite

Kill yourself thats why

But the first crusade was done in spite of the pope and the church only condoned it because they couldn’t stop the chad Templars from rallying people to go.

>muh crusades were evil
Ridley Scott is a hack

That’s not what his movie was saying. That’s just your brainlet takeaway because you got butthurt over some jab.

>Le White Christians were murderous violent monsters
>Le Muslims were wise and tolerand :DDD
>Spilling european blood for Muh holy shitty sandplot
>That extreme blue filter just because they were in england (wtf)

It's political correct garbage, complete trash. If your gonna see an epic, watch Alexander The Great, its so good you dont realize all the gay stuff until 3rd viewing. Also Alexander has Vangelis

>Alexander the Great
Is that movie actually good? I love old history shows/films with my favourite being HBO's Rome, I heard pretty mixed reviews of Alexanders?

The movie is unorthadox. It's not for everyone.

what is jerusalem worth

Well I mean, films and shows that try to be historically accurate during that time period will always be unorthadox. But is it well made? Is it worth watching or is it as mediocre as some say?

Its fairly bluepilled, but the story sucks anyway, like almost all ridley scott period films.
The movie has beautiful visuals and an amazingly good supporting cast

:|

cringe

CHRISTIANS BAD
MUSLIMS GOOD

BARP and BRAP

VERY bluepilled. But a good movie nonetheless

Second this. Pretty fucking based, but it goes a little overboard with all the “dude Christians are evil and Muslims are good lmao”. Also Bashir doesn’t get enough screen time.

>You will never fight and die for God.

It's a decent enough movie, looks great, good acting.
Shame Ridley doesn't know the first thing about the crusades..

Tell me more about Baldwin though. Why did he wear the mask?

Not redpilled but the Kantian theme is based. The cringe is when people think this is purely a film about religion.

Meh and purplepilled

You know that scene where Salad Houdini notices the cross tipped over on the tableand sets it up right? And even bows respectfully to it? Yea in reality he pretty much did the opposite: he had the crucifix torn down from the main church I believe and dragged through the streets. Even back then Hollywood was injecting pro-islam propaganda into films.

Nudding :DDDDDD

>Even back then Hollywood was injecting pro-islam propaganda into films.
>back then
How old are you, kid.

would you fight for her, Yea Forums?

If you dont understand or like the movie, you are suffering from the pleb-condition. Certain low sentient animals walked out of the cinema in the very beginning when Kîno and Based Anthony Hopkins narrate. "What the hell is this? I didnt pay for some old man to talk! I want to see action like marvel in space"

The fact that you wont view the great cinematic experience unless approved by drones, shows that you are not worthy and should instead go look at some shitty marvel movies. Faggot!

Based Saladin the iconoclast.

>Muh blue filter

MOMMY

>"I will give every last Christian man and woman safe passage from the city."
>"And the Jews?"
>both men start laughing

Jesus, Raimi

I have never even seen a single scene of the movie you retard. I was merely asking if it's good or not in his opinion, as I've heard many conflicting things about it. Nearly every TV show and movie I watch is extremely slowly paced and mostly driven by dialogue. I never said I dislike Alexander or anything, I have just never got around to seeing it you fucking cunt.

took what could've been an epic true story and turned it into anti-Christian pro-Islam propaganda with a Gary Stu protag

>leaving out the most fucked up part

HIS SISTER WAS NEVER KILLED BY KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. SHE LITERALLY LIVED TO A RIPE OLD AGE AND DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES. HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING??

Attached: Saladerp.jpg (960x720, 174K)

>protag is Orlando Bloom when all the actors around him are way better

sounds like justice to me, given that the crusaders had repeatedly massacred Islamic pilgrims on Hajj to Mecca and destroyed every mosque they got their hands on, many were ironically byzantine in origin and dated back to the first church of St Paul.

You are not worthy of seeing it. You are forbidden to view it, niggerboy!

>its not ok to depose the bad king and save the kingdom
>but its ok to fuck his wife
What did ridley mean by this?

Fine, I'll watch it tonight. It looks alright. Probably won't be anywhere near Rome but it's probably better than most historical movies.

Well, maybe that wouldn't have happened if muslims didn't try to invade Europe constantly.

>Gives a speech about inclusivity and diversity while defending Jerusalem
Blue pilled.
Exactly
There should legitimately be a 10 hour series or a single 5 hour film about the first crusade. The siege at Antioch and then the successful siege of Jerusalem is fucking incredible. And the Christian army fucking obliterated the city, massacring thousands. And that in turn was justice for the Turks assaulting Byzantine, etc etc.

There were no good or bad guys.

Rome takes as many liberties as this does, people just get autistic over the crusades thanks to /pol/. European monarchs only ever cared about their own borders, no one in power does anything in the name of religion.

The funny this is you hear the same criticism from the other side because the Muslims are portrayed as friendly savages. Eg. when some backwater European count has to teach them about fucking irrigation.

Mate, we were talking about Alexander the Great (the movie). Rome is leagues ahead of Kingdom of Heaven (which I have seen). Yes it changes a lot of details (mostly in season 2 and because the show was axed and stuff had to be more condensed) but it still gets the story and message across perfectly. All the characters and plotlines fit with the timeline, the customes, sets, lifestyle etc. were all really accurate. Rome is one of the few historical projects where these liberties (to me) actually don't matter at all.

>p-please ignore the centuries of constant warfare and oppression waged by muslims against Christians and Europe itself before the very first Crusade was even launched!

If I had to choose between all of Rome and this sequence, I'd choose the latter.

youtube.com/watch?v=r871wV78q4E

Meh, I wouldn't. The battle looks fine, is well shot, but Rome was top tier. I'd choose Caesars death scene (and a lot of others) over this whole movie.

>muslims are cohesive or did anything in the name of religion
boo fucking hoo, the poles ruled and oppressed catholic germans, Ukrainians, Czechs, Magyars etc but no one gives a shit. Powerful nations conquered weak ones, by building strong fleets north african powers like the Ummayads dominated the med and could invade weak Spain or Greece etc. If the Europeans cared they'd have supported those nations but they never did. Because the world wasn't cohesive back then, monarchies are even more independent than nation states.

Maybe I've just seen Rome too many times, but it just seems so slow-paced and tedious now.

>OKAY FINE THE CRUSADES ONLY CAME ABOUT BECAUSE OF CENTURIES OF CONSTANT MUSLIM AGGRESSION, BUT F-FUCK YOU!

also make a prequel about all the jews slaughtered by the people's crusade and the outcome of said crusade

Based Reynald de Chatillon trolling sand nigs across time

Rome season 2 is one of the most fast paced seasons I've ever seen.

Huh and purplepilled

>Salahoudini cocksuckery
>based

pick one and only one

>Portrays Templars are mindless war crazed cartoon villains
>Portrays Muslims as warrior poets with golden hearts
>Orlando straight up kills the literal King and gets away with it

I could've stomached it but the amount of heresy the 'Badass' main cast spew is utterly vile. I get that they wanted people to warm to the 'good guys' but they did that by making them all Religious Sceptics that ignore basic law of the land and then have them still be beloved and respected by literally everyone they meet.

Do you have the pic where Balduin says that the Jews told him the Muslims came to kill them all and Saladin answers that the Jews told him the same?

Female whore that literally starts a war that causes the loss of the Holy Land and the death of countless Crusaders and gets away with it because she spent a few hours wiping blood from people with a wet sponge and doesn't ride a horse.

Fake and goy-pilled. Watch it for aesthetics only.

literally

>WISE AND NOBLE MUDSLIMES GOOD!
>FANATIC BLOODTHIRSTY CHRISTIANS BAD!

The wrong Scott brother died.

>there were no good or bad guys
this, there were only losers, who turned out to be the europeans up until they pissed on christianity and started building ships to get the spices that they so desperately wanted for their bland food.

Absolutely true as well, not to mention he was a bastard and had no claim to that land in the first place nor would he ever have been brought into the King's presence. Doing so would have been viewed as an insult to Baldwin, The Crown and the Church.
