Yes that user has no idea. You use office computers which have firewalls blocking pretty much every website you'd want to visit. It is possible to make a friend or two, albeit unlikely. It's far more likely you're placed on a "team" with a bunch of overweight women and niggers. Turnover is frequent, and if you aren't always busy or appearing to busy, you'll be laid off and replaced regardless if you meet your daily metrics.

You are thinking of software/web developer type office jobs for certain tech companies.
Regular office jobs are similar to being a salaryman in Japan. You are overworked, underpaid, have to attend dumb events, company functions, wear expensive uncomfortable clothes that require dry cleaning, etc. You don't usually have to stay past your official worktime and you can come in late or work remotely. Do expect to spend extra time answering emails after work, before work, on the way to work, during the weekend, on vacation, etc. The company usually won't find you a spouse, provide housing, and guarantee lifetime employment. The higher your pay is, the more hours you will be working. If you are good at it, you can try getting into sales after getting experience at the job, learning the products, and meeting clients. If you work for corporate America, you have no hope.

first accept that life is suffering and all we can do is mitigate it,

then find a comfy, easy, part-time low skill job like delivery or courier and just listen to audiobooks while you do your routes. you will be poor but you will have lots of free time if you only work 30hrs a week and wont be tortured too much by normies because youll be out driving

To any underageb& in the thread, listen to me. If your parents didn't tell you this already, work is "get in, get out". That's it. You go there so you don't go homeless. You're not there to have a good time or makes friends. Make peace with that, and the generally grindy annoying nature of living. If you do you'll be a lot happier. As far as making friends at work, maybe when you're young, but I've got older coworkers in their 30's/late 20's that are "friends" with our managers, even play call of duty together and whatnot after work.
