I still watch it
2020... I lose money.
I watch it when it's on, it's pretty comfy
So do families who live in restaurant eat the stuff they sell at the restaurant for dinner?
I always wondered so would they like eat burgers like 5 times out of the week for dinner?
they have a fucking kitchen where they can cook things like anybody else, including stuff not on their menu, so what the fuck do you think they do genius?
If it wasn't for Adult Swim I would have never watched this show. I can't recall a single time I've laughed but I still find it enjoyable. It certainly makes for great background noise while I play phone games.
I haven't seen past the episode where he gets locked in the camping store overnight which I fucking loved. It's a great series. A lower tier King of the Hill. It gets called Reddit on here but I doubt redditors even like it since it's actually good.
It's really good. Unlike the Simpsons, family guy, American dad, archer, and every other animated show, it hasn't run its course yet. It is not cramming something down my throat. It hasn't compromised what it is. It hasn't jumped the shark yet. It has become a constant.
As a huge King of the hill fan I would say Bob's burgers is on par with king of the hill.
The new episodes are terrible
I think a movie is a mistake but they've been renewed for two more seasons. It's still my ultimate comfy show. Nothing compares.
This
Simpsons is better
King of the Hill is actually funny though. BB has heart but King of the Hill has heart and actual funny comedic moments that can cause laughter.
I don't know why I'm supposed to care about it. The characters haven't evolved, the show is very samey every week.
>characters evolving in an animated series
I honestly do not see the appeal of the show. It's ugly and the writing isn't terrible, just bland.
Good shows like Steven Universe and Avatar the Last Airbender have character development.
I like them both but stand by Bob's Burgers being lower tier. It has the heart and the subtlety but not as many great episodes, the characters don't have as much depth and it's not as funny.
Still definitely a great series though.
>The characters haven't evolved
good, when characters evolve in an animated show, it's usually just to exaggerate their comedic character traits until all you're left with is an annoying caricature of the original
What the fuck is going on with its release schedule? Surely it can't be good for a show to release new episodes completely at random then nothing for weeks.
...is extremely common
Stephen Galaxy did it that way and it really killed a lot of momentum. Not sure why they're doing it.
How did the Simpsons evolve?
I know nothing about Steven Universe, so I can't speak to that
but you can't seriously compare the likes of Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and the Simpsons with Avatar, can you?
it's a completely different animal closer to the format of anime (overarching storyline with villain of the week sprinkled in) than Bob's Burgers et. al (contained storyline to an episode or two at most, reset at the end, "day in the life" structure)
they went from watchable to unwatchable
I'm not comparing it to animated sitcoms, I'm merely saying that those 2 animated shows have character growth and development. And we're only talking about BB here not Simpsons or Family Guy. All the shows you mentioned are all self-contained serialized sitcoms. Each time there is character development it is always self-contained within the episode. Rarely if ever does something that happens to a character in one episode is ever referenced or expanded upon unless it's important to an episodes's story. Steven Universe and Avartar are animated shows where characters are constantly growing and maturing with each passing episode. That's all I'm getting at.
King of the Hill is better if you live in the south
Bob's Burger is better if you live in the east regions
When they did the Shining in s1 I genuinely thought this would be a funny show.
It wasn't but I still watched it too. While scrolling here.
you can do a lot of shit with ground beef
They cater too hard to the “tumblr, vanilla, humor is good when nobody is offended” crowd in newer episodes
Apparently Archer has been getting dragged around by FX to keep it going due to FX having shit for content
if Archer had an ending and they kept doing these random fucking fiction period pieces I think it'd give them more freedom and be better received
King of the Hill is better if you have taste and I'm a westcoastfag
Bob and Linda grind their own beef, so they have whole cuts to use for normal family dinners.

I'm not 100% sure whether Seth still writes Family Guy episodes or just voice acts now, however why did he allow this joke at Bob's Burger's expense when he got upset when South Park made a joke about the Family Guy writing staff?
