1>>>>>5>6>the rest.

1=3>4>2>5>FvJ>New Nightmare>6

I don't know how anyone can think 5 or 6 is better than 4.

4 is boring crap, it's as lazy a sequel to part 3 as part 2 is to the first one. 5 is visually more interesting and 6 is hilarious.

4 has the best visual effects of the franchise and the best soundtrack. Idk how you can call 4 a lazy sequel, when 5 was rushed out faster than any other sequel and it shows. The only interesting effects in 5 were the the staircase scene at the end, Greta getting her face stuffed, and maybe the comic book scene.

The only great ones are 4 and Freddy's Dead, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a pseud.

I agree, the only good thing in 5 is "faster than a bastard maniac".

The uncensored motorcycle death was great

Here's a pic of the Elm Street house I took a few weeks ago. Still has that iconic red door (but I prefer blue).

And my picks: 1 > New Nightmare > 4 > 5 > 3 > Freddy v Jason > Freddy's Dead > 2 > a Cobain exit > Remake

I'm not talking about the effects but the way the movie is shot. 4 might have been done with a bigger budget but it's obviously shot by someone with no imagination whatsoever. Part 5 was more creative, even if it was dealing with a shit script.
I'm not saying it was a good movie, just better than 4.

What are some of the more creative parts in 5? Off the top of my head, 4 had the movie theater scene, the looping scene outside the diner, and the souls trying to escape Freddy's body. There's also the interesting thing of Alice gaining the power and personality traits of her friends as they die and then finally seeing the power in her self at the end.

nice

I saw the first and I didn't think it was that good even though I do have a soft spot for dream sequences and old slashers. Should I bother watching 3 if I basically found Freddy to be an unscary and unlikeable villain?

i want to elm her street if you know what i mean

Again, I'm talking the way it was shot. The lighting the forced perspective stuff, things like that. The director had more imagination.

He's probably scariest/creepiest in 2 imo, but not everyone likes it. I say give 3 a shot, you won't find Freddy scary, but the dream sequences are great. This is also where Freddy starts to gain more of a personality and I guess you could say he becomes more likeable. Honestly, if you're an adult, these movies won't scare you, but I enjoy them nonetheless. Maybe it's because I saw them when I was a kid and they genuinely DID scare me and I'm just nostalgic or because I've grown to appreciate the campier side of them idk.

I've only seen the first one which I thought was genuinely kino even though I'm not a slasher fan. Are any of the others worth watching?

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I think they're all worth watching, but I can understand if other people would disagree. What did you like about the first one in particular?

The dumbest part about Freddy's "origin story" is how the courts let him go just because the cop didn't read him his rights.
THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. Not reading a criminal their rights after arresting them just means that any confession they make afterwards is invalid. It doesn't make the entire arrest invalid and make it impossible to convict or use any of the available evidence. I fucking despise these dumb "off on a technicality" clichés, they're 99% of the time not how it works in the real world and they paint an image of the justice system in which blatantly guilty evil people can get away with everything, when in the real world the prosecution has all the power and odds are the accused will lose even if they're not guilty (note that it's different if you're rich, but Freddy wasn't rich).

What does everyone think of the ending? We all know it was sequel bait, but would you have changed it, if so, how?

Attached: NOES ending.webm (720x384, 2.88M)

I thought it was that they "signed the warrant in the wrong place". Still stupid, since the evidence they found would still be valid because of the Good Faith Exception, not to mention all of the witness testimony.

Why didn't they just do cocaine?

not everyone is a junkie

Either the first one or dream warriors, the restare trash tier. New nightmare is OK, nice change, and the remake with jackie earl halie isn't too bad.

terrible taste.

Dream Warriors is the best

the homoerotic "Freddy's revenge" is the best one by far

this is my ending
>beat freddy
> "everything is okay now" exposition during the day/evening
>happily go to bed, in the middle of dream about a good day at school, class getting dismissed she hears scratching, starts to run out the door, all other classmates disappear
>chalkboard starts to be ghost written on- YOU REALLY-
>she wakes up in the real world in her bed confused and scared and now she hears the rest of the sentence in a creepy disembodied voice that sounds like its coming from nowhere/everywhere
-think I NEED A BOOODDDDYYYYYY?!?
>cue freddy laugh
>she breaks 4th wall
>cue credits

Wait what? He possesses her, like in part 2?

They obviously have to make a new one with Robert Englund to cash in on that succulent Halloween seboot money

Dream Warriors

>clothes didnt get stripped off
fucking dropped

>Wait what? He possesses her, like in part 2?
only way to find out is to buy a ticket to the sequel ;^)
>GOOOT EEEEEEHHHM
could be that way or just that he is somehow undefeated but non corporeal/severely limited in ability now but not full dead. really I just think the "you think I need a body?" taunt is a good creepy thing for a movie monster to say

me on the left

I saw this film first. These scene disturbed the hell out of me

Watching Patricia Arquette now in this
movie.. she can't act for poo
