The reason nothing has changed is that US foreign policy is still coasting along on an agreement from the 1940s with the former Allies plus Japan. America agreed to provide trade security on a global scale in return for everyone else's obedience in foreign policy decisions to fight the Soviets.

Then the Soviets fell in the 1990s. The problem now is that if the US ends the agreement the global economy would fracture and you'd end up with regional powers controlling waterways, and the whole thing would turn into a gigantic mercantilist clusterfuck like the 19th and 18th centuries were. International Finance (Jews) don't want that, so they have to continually invent new excuses for the Americans to keep up a constant state of military readiness and international interventionism.
