I'm new to this board. what makes a movie ''comfy'' kino?
>a sweaty Ally Sheedy will never show up at your house unannounced and ask to use your bathroom
She was clearly down the fuck right there, he should have gone for it
>Seattle? Must be some tweaker pad. Lieutenant, go ahead and call in the drone strike.
this was considered anal sex in the 80s, it was a simpler time
Different for everyone, but for me
>dialog heavy
>not action packed, if there is shooting or something it can only be one scene
>no fast editing or any of that choppy anxiety inducing stuff
pic related is my go-to /comfy/ movie.
Man, I love this movie. Very very underrated, even by Roman Polanski fans. Plus being a ghost writer has always been a dream job of mine, minus the web of intrigue part, of course.
Top tier rainy day kino.
For me its war games, tremors or high fidelity
Yeah. The Ghost Writer is expertly directed and the script is awesome too. I watch it once a year. I love the aesthetic and how it is suspenseful with just dialog alone.
This movie is comfy also.
Nothing comfier than this movie.
Posting some comfy kino
extremely based. Since seeing this ive been trying to find a movie as comfy but honestly nothing comes close. unironically bravo polanski
Basically movie makes you feel good, it's kind of faggy meme language
Caddyshack is not only the most comfortable film, it's also the best film of all time
Is she an incel processor?
wtf, are you me? I also find eyes wide shut very comfy.
user, I love your taste in movies. I remember seeing Somewhere in theatres, and really loving the triumphant ending when the protagonist walks away from the Ferrari towards his new life, and then noticing that basically everyone around me was either asleep or completely zoned out with boredom... lol.
Also, speaking of comfy films, one I return to frequently is The Way starring Martin Sheen
There are a lot of comfy 80s movies, probably more than any other decade. It’s not just nostalgia either cause I was born in ‘97. Can anyone explain this?
Also while I'm talking about Sheen family movies, Men at Work with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez is another really comfy one, with a great light hearted take on local government corruption
Yeah, Eyes Wide Shut is great.
I haven't seen them. I will check these out, thanks!
A series of unfortunate events is one my top comfy movies.
