Seriously what the fuck is this? I finally have gotten around to it after hearing it's the greatest show ever from so many people and how much they absolutely love Michael and all this shit and the show is an absolute steaming pile of dogshit. It relies completely on awkward "humor" and I just want to seriously stab Michael Scott every time his dumb ass does anything at all. I got through season 1 and people always said that one sucked but it gets way better. When the fuck is it supposed to get better? I'm halfway through season 2 and I still can't stand it.
How does anyone like Michael Scott? Is it pure projection? He is incredibly narcissistic and always needs to be the center of attention like steaming pile of shit. Everything that he does that is "good" is for his own self gain and image and no one tells him to fuck off with his bullshit. What is it that makes so many people (especially redditors) love him so much? I feel like it just has to be narcissistic people groomed through social media and the belief that they are something special and "funny" that makes them relate to him even though if anyone knew someone like that they'd probably be digging a ditch out back for him. And a person like that certainly would never be a manager. It's just so over the top unrealistic and cringe I can't take it. I have made a few posts on it and all the responses I get are "well he's just a child and a fool but he means good!" No he does fucking not, he only "means" good when it's for personal gain. Everyone says the point is that he's supposed to be unlikable, but why do so many dumbasses like him? This is probably one of the worst shows I've ever seen. I hated Ted and Lily in HIMYM but I could at least watch it despite them, I am having a hard time even desiring to watch this show, Michael Scott is such a shit character.

it's great if you work at a mind-numbing office job, and watched it when it was airing.
it does not stand-up today, the pacing is wrong and some of the lines and delivery are so cringe-inducing it is physically painful to watch. it has some good moments but overall not nearly as good as the internet makes it out to be, as is the case with any aged media.
