Holy shit are they backpedalling everything from Season 1 so fucking fast! >bringing back all the characters they kill off >getting rid of hologram screens in favor of classic Trek >human looking Klingon (probably more coming) >classic uniforms showing up >classic communicators
it's still not great but they are really pushing in the opposite direction from last season. I'm finding I enjoy it now.
cause he grew a sick beard I had hoped he actually was beheaded
Alexander Perry
Is it actually like star trek yet outside a couple of superficial cosmetic changes? Having a likeable crew that had chemistry and camaraderie again would be a good start. Or having a light, optimistic adventure atmosphere again
Jayden Torres
Don’t forget these individual elements that are Trek-like are because STD has licensed them separately on a temporary basis, and are not part of the main 25% different license they’re operating on. That’s why we did see an accurate schematic of the Enterprise on one screen, but that was all they could show.
Easton Hill
S2 has been a whole lot better!
Luis Barnes
In what way
Nathaniel Phillips
for one, they are actually explorers again, visiting different races and cultures.
Cameron Hill
Bryan Fuller was fired and Alex Kurtzman was given a mandate to purge the show of his shit.
John Evans
They’re not. It’s just PEWPEW lasers and then red angel saves the day (who is definitely Michael burnham)
Zachary Flores
That could be true, almost. Bryan Fuller was fried way before S1 began, so while he’s responsible for the Klingon war concept, the shittiness of S1 is due Gretchen and Aaron, who got fired in S2 due to being abusive to staff. Kurtzmann is reversing their shit.
Oliver Moore
>backpedalling
Did they install more light bulbs on the ship?
William Rodriguez
the Red Angel is a lazy plot device to force them to explore, but they still are exploring. and what evidence do you have that it is Micheal?
Ryder Parker
>literally "REMEMBER THIS?!?! YOU LIKED THIS!!!! SO YOU SHOULD LIKE THIS NEW THING TOO RIGHT????" pathetic...
can they bring back the memorable characters bantering with each other while they encounter unknowns?
Jose Lee
they brought in Pike
Michael Gutierrez
>Bryan Fuller was fried way before S1 began Production was well under way, though.
Hudson Watson
Isn't this shit exclusive to Netflix and the CBS streaming service?
Jordan Barnes
not exclusive if you use torrents.
Alexander Brown
I only own phones
Nathaniel Ortiz
red angel is probably spock
Juan Thomas
shoo shoo
Caleb Stewart
So pretty much they set this shit up to fail. I thought their shitty marketing plan of insulting original fans was enough but it depends on CBS selling their streaming service?
Grayson Kelly
>Whenever Spock is not on screen, characters should be asking, where’s Spock?
I stopped watching when the ship was lost in an evil dimension or some shit and they made the only heterosexual white man on the ship the villain. The faggot ship engineer was forced down the viewers throat every goddamn episode. The orville is much more like star trek than this trash.
Did the show improve or nah? Might take another look
Umm the fucking brown all gay male alien race on Orville is annoying as fuck and it’s way more in your
Adrian Bennett
I really don't see the reason to revive Star Trek.
Franchise had a good run but becasue of budget and special effects restrictions setting is incredibly limited for modern standards and changing any of it fucks with the canon. Why not just make a new franchise?
