Black Sails is underrated boatkino

>Because of the historical dominance of nautical culture by men, they are usually the central characters, except for works that feature ships carrying women passengers. For this reason, nautical fiction is often marketed for men. Nautical fiction usually includes distinctive themes, such as a focus on masculinity and heroism, investigations of social hierarchies, and the psychological struggles of the individual in the hostile environment of the sea.

The manliest movie of all time.

>bunch of shitty movies
>doesn't include enemy below

Seawolf>Typhoon

Crimson Tide
K19 the widow maker
Hunt for red October
That submarine movie Jude law is in.

I just saw Hunter/Killer yesterday, it was actually pretty good. I'd recommend it for cool sub feels.

Michael Bay tier nonsense though. It's a fun flick I suppose but that's it.

True, we just don't get too many sub movies.

It's a shame because they're so comfy. Hunt for Red October and Crimson Tide are both on my go-to list for Sunday afternoon comfies.

The one with Harrison Ford doesn't make the cut? I forgot that name and didn't wanna google

K19: The Widowmaker?

Ya papa, so is that Worthy of the list?

My favorite boats

>Das Boot

Because women cannot imagine what it does with person's psyche when he is loaded into a death dealing pressurized tube, together with hundreds other men, sometimes for months on end, where smalest mistake might cost lives of all of ytou.
If we were together in submarine, I would kill every single one of you anons, every single one, just running through the narrow corridors screaming, bludgeoning you to the death using a box of sea biscuits.
I cannot even imagine what I'd do if we'd actually set sail from the docks.

To The Ends of the Earth featuring Bendidick Cundersnatch is underrated Boat kino.

It is, that fucking scene where they try to ambush manowar and hesitate for few seconds is the best scene, camera work or CGI wise in the past four years.

>kinotenna is iffy today cause of ridiculous wind

submarine movies seems like a good idea. thanks op

>no captain Ron

Discarded.

I had that as a kid! What a nostalgia trip.

>Men only
Faggot much? Oh wait, you're into the navy so of course you are, who else would love to be sealed in a tube with other men and no women for months, lmao

Second from top left, I don't understand the appeal to be honest

>using a box of sea biscuits
Based and grainpilled

Women will never understand this.

Submarines are not boats you fags

what language is this

One of the titles for an enlisted sailor on a submarine is literally 'chief of the boat'

Attached: Sea Wolf 2009.jpg (1000x1414, 277K)

Master & Commander was truly kino tbqh

I didn't get it personally

Until they make FLINT A FUCKING CORNHOLING FAGGOT, MAKES ME SICK

Black Sails season 1 is pure fucking kino. A great complete package, though the first episodes are a bit slow.

It definitely went down after that, though is still mostly watchable and has a few good action sequences.

Still, this scene is top-tier kino, especially with how everything lead up to it.

Russian navy could demolish american navy

This film is an absolute thrill ride. Recommended to anyone who likes a good 'Age of Sail' story.

*gets spotted due to the massive trail of smoke left behind*

*american naval ships are unmanned because all crew members are out having their transgender surgeries*

I saw the one of that with Charles Bronson and Christopher Reeve.

Was Hunter Killer any good?

It's got a really shit subplot with Heston's son but pretty faithful rendering of the battle. New one this year with Woody Harrelson as Nimitz.

Better question: why are there more u-boat movies than surface boat movies?

>pretty faithful rendering of the battle
It helps when you use actual footage of the battle.

Wonder how much sealife was disturbed because war mongering subhumans feel the need to do stupid tests like this.

Boat kino coming through

>disturbed
lmao, who gives a shit? Nature always finds a way to re-balance itself over time

>oh noooo not muh sea sponge
fuckin nerd

Yes they are. Look up the difference between a ship and a boat before making yourself look like a retard.

Would motorboat

Have you tried not being a woman?

It's okay, I would rather watch Red October or Crimson Tide personally.

Stakes felt too low

Have you tried not being a sexist pig?

>possible world war 3

>no women
>kino warfare

Attached: 1543643560414.jpg (220x314, 25K)

ALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARM

this is probably a long shot, but did anyone "play" this "game"
I think it kickstarted my love for all things nautical at an early age

Attached: 41mFO8WMVKL._AC_SX215_.jpg (215x218, 16K)

Never heard of this but thanks for posting because it looks interesting. Ever play this one?

BABUSHKA IS GONNA PAY YOU A VISIT ARMATARD, HAVE YOU WASHED YOUR DICK YET?

I used to love this old game. was impressed at the time it came out.

Is pic related boatkino?

Attached: The Perfect Storm.jpg (1066x1599, 891K)

imagine a crew of only women on a ship that isn't a luxury hotel

boats require maximum navigational skills and living in closed quarters with the same people for extended periods of time

Generic trash

I never see anyone talk about Murphy's War. Peter O'Toole on the edge of madness once again trying to kill a U-boat with his seaplane.

H2, bro

Greatest film ever made

Because living and working on a boat is difficult.

That's literally the only reason.

good movie but fuck those ungrateful ruskies

I think the director's cut is too long and i can't find the theatrical cut anywhere.

leviathan is pretty scary actually, don't watch it stoned.

>tfw we never got any sequels to master & commander

that movie is really special, even the soundtrack is kino.

Attached: 1368636609107.png (500x500, 158K)

the start and the parts with the PJ's were almost kino but it was too cliched

Hollywood ruined Wolfgang Peterson

how have i not seen this?

nah but I played every silent hunter

it absolutely is:

the soundtrack is an underrated gem as well.

>no Black Sea
shitty list

It seems like an adaptation if Moby Dick in the right hands would be a layup for Kino

I liked The Onedin Line. It was more than just sail kino but I thought the overall story was excellent, for historical fiction.

>Moby Dick movie
Pic related is purest kino.

I remember we had the demo back in the mid-90's.
