I was speaking within the confines of the film. You're right. They did go overboard with how evil and stupid Varg was in the film, but every film needs an antagonist, and when it's centered on Euronymous, it makes sense to make the villain the guy who killed him.
Apparently, if Varg can be believed, the original idea of the film (when Sion Sono was still attached to direct) the film was supposed to center on him, so if that's the case, Euronymous more than likely have been the antagonist of the film.

It had to be removed so they could inspect his stabbed head I have never heard anyone from the scene saying in interviews or documentaries that Euronymous cut his hair, and they were talking about last days before his death. Since this movie is dramarization and not documentary, I would like to find someone as source to confirm IF Euronymous really cut his hair, otherwise I can't believe Åkerlunds take on this.
