Just watched the movie. Pleasant surprise. Only criticism I have is the romance subplot. They could've toned down and the movie would've only improved.
cleanfags blown the fuck out by the waifu hoarder.
Oliver Turner
But user I am Chris-chan levels of dependence
Chase Stewart
I didn't have any problems with the guy. I just thought they were saying 'I love you' way too soon. Wasn't the story in the movie, like in a span of a week? two weeks at most?
Jordan Richardson
...
Asher Carter
The romance subplot is really well adapted from the source, it sucks in the manga and anime too. I wonder if it would've been worth it to be less faithful on the source and change it up a bit.
Parker Miller
Mangafag here, how close is the terminology to the manga? Do they call her fighting style "panzerkunst"? Does she have her Damascus blade? Does Desty Nova show up?
Nolan Young
Only paid shills have this kind of dedication to do this on every Alita's thread. You ousted yourself.
Jaxson Cook
Yes
Jaxon Evans
>talked with my dad about how I liked it >he might go see it with the rest of my family
Feels good spreading the good word about Alita
Brayden Torres
This was basically a Disney movie.
Sebastian Jackson
then have the decency to kill yourself
Adam Price
All are true.
Ryder Gray
Yep
Ryan Green
fucking kek, did the same to my dad today after watching it
Neato. I'd love it if they went ahead and adapted the whole thing. The sequel, Last Order, is awesome.
Dylan Reyes
Yep, it's definitely one of the better manga adaptations I've seen.
Jordan Brown
It also had a major plothole, why the fuck would the wife of the doc work for the person that literally threw her, her child and her husband out of the city to get her back to city? Also, why the fuck wouldn't nova just have alita killed? He clearly has the resources.
Xavier Wright
Saw it yesterday. Didn't think it was that good. The CGI is gonna be extremely dated in a few years, the plot was kinda erratic and I didn't really buy the romance. Alita wasn't that great of a protagonist either, most of the time she acted like some sort of very violent Disney Princess. I did like her relationship the doctor. They really felt like father and daughter. Waltz is always great.
Why does this movie need its own general?
Andrew Cook
The romance plot was pretty barebones already. Any less and it would have been seen as a lazy shoehorn in.
Some scenes were necessary for her character development anyways, when Alita offered her heart my first reaction was to cringe at how stupid and naive she was being but I guess that was the point
Chase Green
The Yea Forums bump limit is 300 posts
Camden Williams
The only people that want to watch this with me is my only friend, and he's out of state so by the time he comes to visit Alita might not even be in theaters anymore - and it definitely won't be in Imax 3D anymore either. Shit sucks.
Ian King
>Do they call her fighting style "panzerkunst"? Yep >Does she have her Damascus blade? Yep, except now it's a Martian Lazor Sword >Does Desty Nova show up? Yes, except now instead of an anarchist and outlaw who believes in absolute freedom, he's a sinister Zalem overlord who puppets people through cyber-chips.
zapan has the damascus blade for reasons, nova is in salem and is directly responsible for literally every bad thing that happens.
Jackson Jones
Reminder Alita in Spanish means wing which Angels have.
Luke King
>I'm underage and I cringe at everything! Yikes
Henry Jenkins
She's a selfish shithead who didn't care about anything but getting back to Zalem
Hudson Mitchell
Nova is like Joker with a hundred phd's.
Luis Brooks
Any better ones you know offhand?
Ian Taylor
What will the seating be like? The new hotness is stadium seating and recliners for maximum comfort and NEVER having to be too close to strangers in a theater ever again. Everyone gets their own armrests and cup holder. Plus, reserved seating and smaller crowds overall.
Grayson Martinez
>Alita wasn't that great of a protagonist either, most of the time she acted like some sort of very violent Disney Princess.
"Very violent Disney Princess" is extremely my shit
Ryan Smith
How long must I wait for my cyborg waifu? 2 weeks? Maybe 3?
at least the shill stopped pretending to have girlfriends.
or do the shift narrative a certain times every day
Jackson Edwards
Those are not actually plot holes. Its pretty clear that the wife had major issues after her daughters death. So instead of plotholes, i would simply say its not explained, becasue there could totally be a reasonable line of action. Nova spent the movie after Alita, and he pretty much concluded that it is easier to threaten those she loves than actually killing her
Jacob Roberts
A better question is: Why would Alita ask help from Bounty Hunters to fight a guy who has no bounty on him and that she easily curb-stomped into fleeing the last time?
Liam Myers
>Also, why the fuck wouldn't nova just have alita killed? Haven't seen the movie but in the manga he's the definition of chaotic neutral, half of everything he does is for the science-lolz.
Tyler Walker
If Trump would deport me, I wouldn't exactly go work for Trump tower to get my citizenship back.
Joseph Brown
how about PG-13 "violent?"
Brandon Foster
The most jarring thing in the whole movie for me was when YUGO's introductory line was "outstanding," and then shortly after he followed with an "unacceptable." Outstanding and unacceptable as complete sentences and statements of fact is to me immediately reminiscent of my basic training, so it was very strange for me to hear this guy talk like he was about to start yelling at me for how my boots were laced.
Henry Jenkins
I don't know yet. Some guy told me about VIP seats or something, it's probably one of those large couches with tables and stuff. No IMAX or 4D but it's okay. Still pretty exciting!
Jordan Allen
>Haven't seen the movie but in the manga he's the definition of chaotic neutral He is the diametric opposite of the Manga. He's a combination of the MIB Chief and M'Badi of LADDER in the movie.
Christian Bailey
something that isn't explained but is required for the plot to progress is literally a plot hole.
Ayden Hernandez
Why not? That's the person who has the power to give it to you. Necessity tops all grudges.
Jace Fisher
I'm doing it for free, because I unironically enjoyed the movie. Haven't gone a second time yet, but seriously considering it.
I thought the whole point was to establish dominance by picking a fight with the biggest guy in the room?
Robert Taylor
>didn't like Alita's personality Boy I have just the movie for you in two weeks.
Ryder Diaz
She's a naive girl with a teenage brain, I can buy this. >is for the science-lolz. Fine, I can buy this as a reason for keeping Alita alive. Still no satisfying explanation for why the doc's wife would work for him.
Carson Turner

DOUBT.
Daniel Sanchez
>shill pretends to be autistic JUST LIKE ALL OF YOU COOL GIRLFRIEND AND DAD HAVING GUYS ON THE 4CHANNEL

Chase Moore
WHY IS SHE SO CUTE AAAAHHHH. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
it is alluded, and it doesn't break the plot. Isnt a plot hole used to refer to a situation where movies are unable to make the middle of their story meet without breaking it?
Jason Roberts
Because she's naive, and remember that she gets laughed at
Juan Harris
There's one I was thinking of but I forget what it's called. Some of the Japanese live action manga adaptations are quite good
I'm not. The only reward I can hope for is another Alita movie.
Jeremiah Gutierrez
That so? Kinda disappointing, he grew on me. Especially in the manga sequel when the original turns good but all of his clones, which are spawned via fungal spore pods, turn evil. Also in the original non-canon ending to the original manga he builds a neural accelerator for Alita that lets her casually movie at hypersonic speeds, it makes her OP as fuck.
Kevin Green
Someone without Cameron's confidence would have definitely changed Panzer kunst. They did change Daisuke's name to Dyson, and Yugo to Hugo. And of course Gally to Alita, but those are so minor.
Jose Stewart
Because he deported me for a reason? Why would he help me? Nova probably didn't like the doc and his family for being good people. Also he was the reason my daughter died.
Thomas Mitchell
No, she goes there to plead for backup. In the Manga it makes sense, because at that point Ido is severely injured and Grewishka/Makaku had dismembered her (like he does after the bar fight in the movie). In the movie it makes no sense because he's zero threat to her as far as she knows.
Jayden Murphy
You're probably thinking of Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise.
He's a humorless, rote Evil Mastermind who makes generic Bad Guy speeches through people he's "possessing". There's not a single trace of Manga Desty Nova in him at all.
Lincoln Allen
not an argument
Sebastian Clark
Just got back from seeing it. Premium choice for Nova, looks spot on
It would've been a soft-R. Hell even that PG-13 deadpool thing had just about the same amount of "violence" and they didn't need to make the blood a different color.
Nathan Perez
>a 30 year old flirting with a teenage girl How the FUCK wasn't anyone in that bar asking him wtf he was doing?
Ryder Smith
Maybe one more time on Monday, so I have the whole cinema for myself
Caleb King
legit a few. this is the first movie in a while that I will actually consider getting a copy
I actually don't think that Nova is going to end up the overlord of Zalem. I think he's obviously important but we don't necessarily know that he kicked Ito and family down to Iron City. Come Fallen Angel I think we're gonna properly find out where Nova sits in the hierarchy.
Ian Lopez
I don't think anyone saw her as a teenager. More like a young woman at best. It is pretty obvious that technology has reached a point where cyborgs can 'change their age' at will
Juan Anderson

First viewing I simply thought it was her actually believing people aren't shitheads who'd rather keep to themselves instead of helping others, much less bounty-hunters. After other viewings though it was more obvious she was just looking to pick a fight with someone.
Aaron Thomas

There's just no way a BD can compare. That's less than 50GB compared to the TBs that a standard projection needs, and the even more TBs for IMAX or other large format. And then sound and 3D. It's just not something you can recreate at home without spending a fortune.
Michael Kelly
> its like poetry, it rhymes

Any vidya that can make me feel like Alita? Only Nier Automata is really coming to mind and I've already played that a lot.
Mushing Hugo's shoulder and cutting Tanji in half with human blood visibly splashing really pushed it.
Sebastian Gomez
He's higher in the hierarchy than anyone else in the movie but that doesn't mean shit. Other people in Zalem could still shit on him.

>And of course Gally to Alita Not really though. That was the name that Ido gave her, because she couldn't remember her actual one. It's an adopted name. Her name is still Yoko/Gally. I'm guessing something triggers another flashback in the sequel, she remembers Hugo calling her "Ally", and then remembers her name is actually Gally.

Don't have a BD player or drive. Just gonna have to download it. Probably going to download the raw or remux tho, instead of an encode.

No, it really didn't. PG-13 deadpool was pushing it. This played it safe.

Metal Gear Rising. Also, watch the anime Casshern Sins.
Dylan Hernandez
Beyond Good & Evil, though you're not a robot but an alien, still it's got a cute girl protagonist who is actually competent in a fight and a world where everything is really run down.
Samuel Jones
This one was exhibed too somewhere. Oh! i liked so much! just look at this cutie.
It was incredibly refreshing to see an earnest, sappy, cheesy romance again. I have a feeling this is what upset the SJW's more than anything; they've never felt real love or selfless devotion before and it disturbed them on a primal level to know how truly inadequate and hopeless they are as they fall ever closer into the living hell they create for themselves in their hatred and anger.
Andrew Baker
the issue is in order for the plot to go foward as the manga's did, in the first few minutes of the next movie they'd need to kick nova out, sentence alita to execution somehow, save her from execution, introduce a whole new cabal of salemites, and then have alita ditch iron city, all in about 5 minutes. and the sequel hook was motorball.
So most likely they're going to skip everything after three, and have alita go directly to salem and do a bastardization of last order.
Ryder Reed
One is Imax 3D and the other is not.
Juan Clark

Panzerkunst was pretty awkward in English, and I'm glad they only said it once or twice. That kind of thing puts them in a tough situation because パンツァークンスト sounds cool in Japanese but silly in English because panzer is already a [loan]word in English and it means "tank", and kunst is clearly just made up. Another thing that didn't translate well from the manga/OVA was that getup Ido goes out in to do the bounty hunting, he just looks so incredibly out of place with that hat and coat. In anime we don't bat an eye because we're used to characters wearing implausible, outlandish clothing all the time (Vash the Stampede comes to mind) but it looks very strange in live action. I think they left that kind of stuff as-is because Cameron is a weeb and the alternative would draw unnecessary amounts of hate from weebs.
Michael Fisher

The romance didn't stray far from the source material except for making Hugo a Chad

Interesting, I thought it was one of the cooler aspects of the exposition and lore. The name really stuck in my memory. Maybe it's because it was being delivered by Waltz.
It actually didn't. It outperformed all expectations.

>The romance didn't stray far from the source material except for making Hugo a Chad And having him not being a spine-stealing asshole who never let go of that world, and instead be a cyber-limb stealing Aladdin guy with a heart of gold. The scene where he goes to "stop" his old confederates from stealing, after he's no longer even doing it, was pathetic. In the Manga he's jacking spines right up until he tries it on Zappan and gets a bounty slammed on him.
Angel Fisher
I think they could have made Ido's hammer smaller to help with that.

For Alita
Jason Turner
As far as we are aware.... We barely scratched the surface of Zalem at all, and that doesn't even touch on Jeru which for all intents and purposes might as well not even exist in the minds of the characters. Yet.
The space elevator is clearly there though.
Elijah Scott
Nier Automate isn't much like Alita besides being about Androids. For one, Nier Automata is actually well written.
John Gray
Why aren't incels ashamed of themselves? Why do they think engulfing themselves in obscure media would make up for being incels?
Samuel Brown
nope. she just causes the sword (that just happened to be hers and zapan was holding it for her) to glow blue occasionally. So i guess that was supposed to be plasma.
Owen Morris
It's not historical Damascus steel, it's supposed to be forged from steel and rare earth elements from the scrapyard, with a Damascus like pattern.
Ayden Scott
Unironically wouldn't mind some Shad base material for Alita, I'm pretty horny right now and want to fuck a living robopussy. >inb4 >shadman.gif
Ian Anderson
That's the issue, is that Cameron ALONE wanted to do Alita for himself, not for money or prestige or bragging rights. This was his baby and labor of love for 20 years. Otherwise, no director would have chosen something like Alita, they'd have probably gone with Bubblegum Crisis first, or even fucking Project A-ko.
Isaiah Myers
>no touching REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Angel Ward
I've played Oni too but I'd say that's trying to be closer to Ghost in the Shell and Motoko Kusanagi.
I liked that part in the movie where zapan goes after him, hugo points out that he doesn't have a bounty, so zapan kills a random guy and that suddenly magically gives HUGO a bounty.
I wonder if there's a chance for a sequel. the movie cost a total of 170 million, with a worldwide boxoffice of 260 million. Is this enough profit? Kinda worried, because apparently, this is the worst President's Day studio Fox ever had...
Do a fist-only playthrough of Automata. Use shockwave, counter, and perfect evade chips.
Christopher Collins
Nothing
Evan Lee
I saw it today in 4DX too. So fun.
Julian Jackson
What the fuck is wrong with you people? Are you really not self aware enough to realize that the only reason you're defending this movie is because you think Alita is a cute "pure" waifu? The dialogue and line delivery alone make the movie nearly unwatchable.
If she's your waifu, fine, but why act like the movie is good?
Dominic Butler
>Cameron couldn't find a way to include one fucking plate of flan into the budget Seriously, what the fuck. How can you have Nova NOT eating flan.
Hunter Richardson
That's not profit at all. Studios only get half of domestic gross and 20-30% of international gross.
Aaron Cooper

>This was his baby and labor of love for 20 years. That's Avatar and his undersea shenanigans. He back-burnered this while working on his passion projects, and when he realized he'd never get to it, dumped the screenplay on Rodriguez.

>so zapan kills a random guy and that suddenly magically gives HUGO a bounty. Didn't Zapan bring along a buddy or two with him? The only logical assumption is that when Zapan killed him, his buddy's reported in the crime under Hugo's identity. I dunno, it wasn't really explained.
David Cooper
Feeling the wall coming like a freight train, don´t ya roastie. No point dexter meal ticket for you, we´ll have robot waifus in 10 years or less. AND the money to buy them because we don´t spend it on FUCKING traveling or women.
they're defending the movie because it's their literal job.
Kayden Rivera
No he didn't, fucking hell. He adapted a long running EPISODIC series into something with a coherent overarching plot that could be adapted into 3 movies assumedly.
The only real complaint you can stand on is the fact its toned down, but even then they push the envelope of PG-13 to its absolute limits.

>waifu reacts like this when Motorball players crash at high speeds in front of her
It's still making money. It's Fox's best China opening ever. It apparently needs between 350 to 500 million to break even (closer to 350 most likely) and since it's Cameron's passion project, he still might be pushing for a sequel, even if it loses a bit of money. Best thing to do right now is go see it and spread the word.
Jack Turner
if you can find me a place where i can get paid to waifufag please point me in the direction of it
Ayden Adams
Will this do well enough for the sequel it deserves, alitabros?
>Cyborg literally offers him a free ticket to the 1% promise Land >Boy declines. Never happened. Rewatching the movie may help you. >Boy becomes a fully functioning cyborg in under 24 hours from the same doctor who kept his daughter in a wheelchair The people of Zalem are extremely worried about putting anything cybernetic on themselves.

>In the Manga he's jacking spines right up until he tries it on Zappan and gets a bounty slammed on him. In the manga/OVA he actually had a reason to. He didn't want to go to Zalem just to go to Zalem.
Eli Hall
The OVA covered the first two volumes of the manga in 60 minutes. The movie basically copies the OVA and throws LITERALLY EVERYTHING at the screen for another hour. The result is a rushed clusterfuck where, by the end, nothing is resolved and nothing really changes, but it still ends with a sequel hook.
James Thomas
You’re the same aspie that was spamming streaming links to the movie in previous threads so people wouldn’t go see it at the theater right? There’s medication for what you have, buddy.
>He adapted a long running EPISODIC series into something with a coherent overarching plot that could be adapted into 3 movies assumedly. There is less actual plot to Alita's core 9 volume story than Lord of the Rings by a mile. The nine volume manga could have easily been adapted to 3 movies without all these unnecessary and silly changes.
The movie is an adaptation of the Anime short with Motorball tossed in for Special Effects glitter and Nova for a Sinister Evil Guy.
Andrew Bell
Thank you. Thought I was going to at least go see it and enjoy it for the waifu benefit, but it coudln't even hold me at that. It's shit, folks.

I wish artists would stop giving Alita huge ass tiddies in their artwork. They're already pretty big for her age, there's no reason to go and give her a freaking double D cup.

Does it really need $400M to break even? I feel like the advertising was pretty subdued..
Ryder Price
Probably not, it's on its last legs and Captain Marvel is coming out soon so Oh wait, nobody wants to see Capitan Fungus. Alita might make it.
Henry Anderson
dude, that's like C cup. You've never seen a breast.
Liam Wood
Needs atleast a minimum of 500 million for that to happen. Our hopes like in the hands of chinks who will be eating literal hotdogs while watching this.
Have you played Ruiner? It has a similar atmosphere to the manga.
Owen Sullivan
If you've read the manga, you would know Nova can't go five fucking seconds without flan.
Bentley Rivera
>but never really played more than an hour. You really, really should.
Grayson Parker
Chinese advertising was strong, and it shows. all the Chink material looks amazing
Andrew Wilson
studios don't get the entire gross. That's literally what gross means. You've had this explained to you 20 times already.

If it made 400m in the US it would be profitable. Making most of it's budget overseas brings in a lot less of a return. Particularly China.
Ethan James
Weebs rise up
Luis Harris
The minimum would be about 370m domestic, a little more than double the budget because they're obviously marketing it. For every 2 million they don't make in domestic, they'll need between 3 and 4 internationally. Which is where the 400-500m number comes from.
Wyatt Johnson
Yeah, I really wanted to like it but I just didn't like the gameplay enough. I normally like twin-stick shooters so I don't really know why. It was right after playing Assault Android Cactus so maybe that colored my perception.
Matrix sequel had a long snack scene. We might still get the Cameron/Rodriguez version.
Sebastian Powell
>want to read the entire manga again >remember Last Order has a massive arc about vampires right in the middle of it >remember that 90% of Last Order is one big tournament arc >remember Alita gets a tail, cat ears, and a pair of angel wings before it's over Last Order was weird.
Samuel Watson
Only because he made 2.5 billion with it's first movie. He didn't come out with Alita sooner because he stated the tech was not there yet to do her justice. Plus, before Avatar was developed, it was 50/50 between it and Alita, but the test scenes for Avatar were better in his opinion than Alita. He wanted to wait and perfect the techniques with Avatar first.
The only reason Rodriguez was anywhere near this film in the first place was because he is busy slaving away in the smurf mines per his contract, and he wanted Alita to see the light of day before he died. But he bought the rights to any sort of adaptation for Alita almost immediately after being introduced to the OVA and manga by del Toro back in the 90s.

There are plenty of sequential panels of Desty Nova not having flan in either hand or mouth. The idea of him carrying around a plate of it non-stop 24/7 and gushing on about it non-stop every other sentence for a live action movie would be tacky and cringe as fuck.
Andrew Watson
I think you're forgetting, user. He didn't just say "unacceptable" he said "ORANGES? THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE?".
Evan Perry
Good night Yea Forums, see you tomorrow in the ALITA thread number 50.
Having him eat flan is a MASSIVELY minor change they could've thrown in that would tell literally anyone familiar with the source material "we actually read the manga". Not having flan makes me think they just skimmed the wiki pages.
James Thompson
He's saying the movie IS the OVA with a bunch of unnecessary exposition and references thrown about with some motorball sequences for no reason at all.

yea, but I'm talking to a shill, so if I compare the flawless movie to the OVA then by transitive property the OVA is flawless.
Isaac Russell
as it has been for nearly 2 decades at this point. But YOU pointing it out is whats gonna stop them, im sure
>he wasn't around when redditors were abusing the fuck out of unironically putting LE LE LE into their posts to the point people started mass filtering anything with "le" in it >he wasn't around for when the Dark Knight was so popular the whole catalogue was filled with the same meme and CIA meme text shit >he wasn't around when there were Lost generals and threads and 90% of the content was Jack faces or screenshot strips >he thinks Yea Forums is about spamming shitty memes and constantly shitting on everything
With what story tying it altogether? If you wanted a straight adaptation like your saying, it should have been a TV show. But that couldn't happen because Kishiro is notorious for making sure his property is properly adapted per his taste, and he officially disowned the OVA.
The sheer fact that he's seen this movie at least 5 times (before it was even released in Japan mind you) should speak volumes.
I have no idea what you even think you're gibbering about.
Leo Wood
>from the same doctor who kept his daughter in a wheelchair. I had to stop myself from laughing when they showed the flashback of her death scene, it didn't make any fucking sense.
Matthew Young
Did what I said hurt you? It's the truth, user. You will feel better once you've come to terms with reality. Promise.
Nicholas Carter
Why aren't you answering the question about momsen? If you've been around since 2008 then you should have no problem
Nathan Perry
How? It was almost ridiculously straightforward.
Hudson Ortiz
see you tomorrow friend
Ryan Reyes
Nova being a madman and littering the world with nightmares in hopes of defeating determinism is the story of the manga. It doesn't have to always be personal.
Nathaniel Williams
Next time i watch Alita i'm gonna order some alitas. do you get it? Eating alitas while watching Alita ahaha...
Ian Gray
Why do you report posts that question who and where you come from? You don't think those of his that have been here for more than a few months can't ask them?
Levi Thompson
I'm not but neither are you. And going through an archive site and randomly picking a meme you find doesn't mean anything other then your a retard for thinking it gives you any cred in this day and age where the average person on this site is a brain dead faggotron who thinks this site is for being an edgy basher or posting stale and stolen oc from his favorite social media site.
Brayden Smith
Kishiro saw the movie five times before it was released because he was on the premier tour, where they flew him around, all expenses paid, the world to promote the movie. He didn't buy a single ticket.
Jace Cox
>Nova being a madman and littering the world with nightmares in hopes of defeating determinism is the story of the manga.
Ok? That's not ruled out at all by the movie. If you hadn't noticed, we're only actually introduced to Nova at the end of the movie, and even then, his motivations and intentions are still a complete mystery.
Nolan Bailey
Convince me to watch Alita bros
Liam Turner
>oh shit daughter, a crazy cyborg is ransacking our home, please come out and just sit there and stare at him from your practically immobile wheelchair oh no you died your body will never have a purpose now
Blake Edwards
Yeah but you fail to mention that he's still been going to see it and that he still doesn't have to pay because of creator privileges. He's
Ethan Wilson
Alita will hit 350m before Captain Marvel JUSTS it, right bros?
Christian Campbell
Oranges and chocolates are the Alita-approved meals
Dylan Davis
Kishiro should stop going to the movies and work harder on Mars Chronicle, this flashback has been going on for fucking ever. What is this, Berserk? Get back to adult Alita already!
Andrew Russell
>when Alita offered her heart my first reaction was to cringe at how stupid and naive she was being but I guess that was the point
She was cringey at the bar too just asking for help
Now she's still cute but filled with VENGEANCE
Lincoln Reed
>That's not ruled out at all by the movie. it is, because he's building cyborgs to defeat the alita. They also establish the URM's mission was to kill nova.
Aaron Edwards
A female protagonist that actually feels like a girl Cool worldbuilding Great action scenes
Jose Reyes
He could have said "no" to watching the movie. And he didn't. You're acting like they had him and gun point, or that he had no choice at all. If the movie was as shitty as you're trying to make it out to be he wouldn't have seen it five fucking times.
Grayson Turner
>Ok? That's not ruled out at all by the movie. He's defeating determinism by making everyone his obedient slave? His relationship to Alita is reduced to "she's the Martian Assassin sent to kill you, kill her first".
Wyatt Edwards
>(Vash the Stampede comes to mind) Speaking of which, I would LOVE a Trigun adaptation in this style and quality.
Brody Peterson
Keep pushing your retarded boogeymen. It's not gonna help you, incel.

So you're admitting you're quite literally a quote unquote "newfag Yea Forumsedditor" then? How about picture related? Where did he go after forcing what you mentioned in your previous post
>pointing out that no one in their right mind would say "no" to an incredibly well paid lavish vacation is saying they were holding kishiro at gunpoint

>Thought I was going to at least go see it and enjoy it for the waifu benefit, but it coudln't even hold me at that Live action Alita isn't even a quarter as cute as OVA Alita, and even then her design is way more interesting than her actual character.
I don't give a shit about your "totally real cred" you asshat. But I've been around long enough to interact with a few oldfags. But at least I'm not a cancerfag like you who unironically thinks he can run around larping as an old fag and not get called out on his bullshit.

I don't think any of the fans of this movie know what a real woman looks like.
Michael Hernandez
Yeah but we don't know why, or for what reason the war was even fought to begin with. We just know that the URM had an interest in killing Nova, and conversely Nova had an interest in stamping out the remaining URM cyborg. Oh and he has an interest in body parts for "experiments". That is literally it.
We could very easily be introduced to Karmatronic Dynamics in the next movie, and you cannot rule that out.

I disagree, I never liked her anime look, but the live-action version was cute enough to make me buy a ticket.

You're being delusional as always. Take your meds or if you don't already go see a doctor and have him prescribe some. If I were a tourist, it wouldn't give you an upper hand in this discussion either. Board culture changes so rapidly, there is no value in having it memorized. Get your meds and start working on getting laid. I'm confident you're capable of the required dedication, seeing you shit up every single of these threads I've been in.
Adam Cruz
Nothing's wrong, here's an adaptation that keeps people talking about everything under the sun and all over again, and already made more than Blade Runner 2049 and are we at bump limit again? It's a movie and this is a movie board.
Christopher Young
false troll thread needs to be deleted it came too late
Xavier Torres
The movie is good though. For once, it's straight up a solid adaptation of the source material, with a very alluring world, attractive characters, and intense non-stop action. And thematically, it's very tasteful, like the manga was. Cyborgs, bounty hunters, racing-killing tournaments, underdog warriors, teen love, etc. What's not to like?
