Will a single 2018 movie be remembered 20 years from now
Will a single 2018 movie be remembered 20 years from now
Try 5 years user. How many oscar winners from 2013 do you remember?
IT'S TOO BAD SHE WONT LIVE
BUT THEN AGAIN, WHO DOES
I love this fucking film
Meh, the original was way better.
20 years from now when the next "groundbreaking" black movie comes out people will point to Black Panther like people did today to Blade.
Also Ralph Breaks the Internet will probably be seen as some kind of 10s internet cultural time capsule despite being shit
That's 2017, but it will go down as the best sequel ever made.
I'll probably remember Mandy because I like Panos.
But the best sequel ever is Return to Oz.
Infinity War will be this generations Empire Strikes Back
Mandy
The Mule
Mad max fury road.
Boyhood
2013 was the best year for movies in this decade. Having said that, I can't remember what movie won it that year.
I already don't remember what I watched in 2016 or 2017 so probably not.
I don't even remember last year's Oscars
Black Panther
who?
Sisters Brothers
Into the spiderverse. Even if some retards dont think the movies good its going to be remembered forever
Infinity War
Argo
That was for the year 2012.
Nothing made from now on will be remembered, so remove the dust off your criterion collection and enjoy the future.
>tfw to smart for sequels
Poster is an accurate reaction to the movie.
Google is the biggest piece of crap on this planet
The best sequel? Sorry. Not when Terminator 2 exists.
Godfather Part 2?
kys
and you
Those oscars were in 2013 but the movies were from 2012, just like this year it's 2019 but the movies are from 2018
Infinity War.
The Favorite will probably be remembered in certain circles.
That's about it.
I think first man will have some legs like October sky.
Infinity War honestly. Marvel knocked or out of the park with that one, idk why they campaigned black panther for the awards instead. No other movie can instill the same hype you get when Captain America first appears, or when Thor arrives in Wakanda.
como lagrimitas en la lluvia
First Man is likely going to age very well.
under the silver lake will be a cult classic, though it hasn't even been released in theatres properly yet
Whatever is popular with kids will be remembered by them when they grow up. That's why you have shitstain terrible films like The Phantom Menace and the other Prequels still memed today.
MCU films will be remembered. They aren't great, some are decent, but they are a part of a generations childhood, just like Star Wars has been for other generations, and the Universal Monsters were for boomers who grew up watching those 1930/40's films on TV.
Will any of these films generate the same merchandise-selling nostalgia? Probably not to great degrees, outside of the MCU. I can pretty much guarantee you that any Marvel Legend figure put out based on an MCU character will not be the only release of said character, this will all come out again in 10-20 years to capitalize on these kids growing up and having their own money to spend.
Blade Runner 2049, will it escape Niche status? Probably not. It works best if you're already invested in the first Blade Runner, and getting new generations into it is an uphill battle.
This, even if you didn't like it, from overbearing SJWs to raging poltards, Black Panther is one of the capeshit movies that will stand out and be memorable for pandering to the urban market.
