Post s3 discussion. It’s over lads. What were your thoughts on episode 8 and the season as a whole?

He never left the jungle.
Absolute disappointment.
If that was Jacob's ladder, he did a terrible fucking job of it. Fuck pizza and fuck jannies
cuz he's a FUCKIN' NIGGER MONKEY
I cannot fucking BELIEVE that Pizzolatto stretched out this story over 7 episodes only to reveal all in a 15 minute flashback exposition dump in episode 8. That’s not good storytelling at all.
Fucking hell, i'm still pumped.
>What was your favorite part Yea Forums?
For me, it had to be the shot revolving the car that cut between the three different time periods.
This was fucking terrible. I listened to you people whinge about how terrible season 2 was. I ended up watching it about a week ago, and it was decent. I actually quite liked it. Compared to season 3, season 2 is fucking kino.
Fuck pizza and fuck season 3.
Make good television you dumb fucking dagos
Kind of. I mean, it was good in quality, but I pieced everything together a couple weeks ago. They need to stop holding the camera on shit for so long, it becomes way too obvious.
This is how I feel. Feel annoyed that I followed this shit for 8 fucking weeks.
So it was all about PTSD then.
The entire season was a red herring.
His wife should've been a leash or something.
Time is a flat circle.
WHY did they include the Rust/Marty laptop scene in the catchup before this episode? It was entirely irrelevant to episode 8.
easter egg
Would have been more interesting if I stopped at episode 7 and imagined the rest
why did roland start a barfight?
The conversation that Hays had with the director about her bending the narrative to fit her prejudices is looking very meta right now. There was no grand conspiracy at all. Just some sadcase mother with mental problems. It had nothing to do with Marty & Rust.
Because he was feeling like shit after killing James.
1 > 2 > 3
How do you interpret the final scene?
Goddamnit this is dumb. I took her telling him that story as "the real ending isn't important, stop obsessing and love your family" thing. If its literal, this is the dumbest way the story could end.
Will’s death was comical.
The reporter is us, trying to make it S1. Funny thing is when she was dropped so did my hype for this season.
I took her telling the story as spoonfeeding retards because we knew that Mike found her at the convent and saved her two weeks ago.
Really good season, although it didn’t have much direction and felt like nothing really happened.
Season 1 is 10/10
Season 2 is 7.5/10
Season 3 is a 8.5/10
The reporter was dumb and sucked up too much of this season
roland was a top lad this entire show
That was shit.
You say that when the wife exists
Sooo. What happened? I dropped the show after ep 4.
I'm actually curious why exactly this was good for you. Elaborate
When Hayes holds hands with his daughter...are they white hands or am I just crazy?
>you lost your daughter
>wait no you didn’t lmao
>plays ominous music during mundane scenes so we think something big will happen at the last minute
pizza is such a fucking douche bag holy shit
>the little ten year old girl eats up the story of her brother being asleep after seeing him hit his head on a rock
>put his hands in some stupid position
>leaves him in a fucking cave
It was so stupid
The worst part is the wasted potential
Agree'd.
So many goddamn flash backs too. and then the flashbacks had flashbacks and those flashbacks were just flashbacks of a more recent flashback.
We projected everything with the daughter
spoilers: the nigger did it, cameo by Vince and Rust
Because that's what retards wanted.
this would have been amazing at 5 hours, maybe even 6
you know what they say:
you can take the nigga out of the jungle but not the jungle out of the nigga
>the pink rooms are still there
>completely untouched in the Hoyt compound
>even though Isabel is dead
>even though Hoyt is dead
>the vault door is open as well
Seriously?
at least season 2 had nice memes
season 3 was just about a nigga mumbling his lines and brokeback mountain with cops
that was pure unfiltered kino
I like the characters and I thought the ending was pretty kino. It showed that you should just give up on the case because no one fucking cares about it anymore except jew journalists. Also I’m a brainlet so I didn’t put the pieces together weeks ago
So they literally did nothing with the Franklin Coverup? Just wasting time? I really thought they would have some balls and show us the truth. Glad I stopped watching.
see you fellas in a few years for season 4
it is kinda funny to say fuck you to all these grand conspiracy theorists
people jerk their dick so hard about how everything has to be part of this larger conspiracy, and that reporter character was pretty much an analog for that part of the audience
the exposition dump was really out of place and awkward though
I'M TALKING ABOUT VIET FUCKING NAM MAN
When da fuck did she die in the timeline and how? I don't remember any memories of her being old
WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE VIETNAM SCENE?
I take back everything bad I said about season 2.
I'm a brainlet. How did we know this
What was the point of that Vietnam thing at the end? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
What if the real mystery was the friends we made along the way
>Franklin Coverup
>I really thought they would have some balls and show us the truth
They literally included an actual pedo symbol in the first season and referenced the cult and the Franklin coverup. If it was all a misdirect, fuck Pizzalatto. They could have redpilled people and instead they just wasted time.
So the boss/DA guy wasn't buds with the Hoyts after all and he was he just a trigger happy guy who cared more about his convictions than loose ends? Lame.
I just said it man what the fuck
So wait, what did Tom see in the pink room?
His mind finally became a jungle, his dementia is too far gone
loved it, completely caught me off guard and told a great story...still would like some clarification on the jungle at the end though
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
There was a shot that lingered on a truck that said Ardoin on it.
>The fourth timeline amounted to nothing
god damn it
Hayes gunned her down, that's why his daughter left
the oldest memory of her was when she was teaching at college or whatever and hays was the security guard
she probably just died of old age or cancer or some shit
because they knew everyone wanted there to be a grand conspiracy linking everything together because bad people cant get away with things
pusy lickings
Childhood is disliking season 2, adulthood is realizing I'm the best you've got
Casperere knew this
red herring to give hope that it was a giant pedo ring even though everyone already knew it was the hoyt lady
Mind jungle
That was what half of us were saying since the fucking beginning. It's fine to look for conspiracy everywhere but it was clear that he had motivations of his own to close the case and not try to search the homes of over a hundred voters, possibly pissing off who the fuck knows how many of his "constituents that value privacy and property rights."
It's Jacob's Ladder. He never left Vietnam I guess. Pretty gay if you ask me.
The season was excellent and had me drawn in. That finale shat all over it. I didn't feel anything. At the end of season 2, I was shocked and emotionally affected by Ray and Frank being killed. This was just bullshit and all the suspense building with the music amounted to nothing.
JACOBS LADDER, SO IT WAS ALL A DREAM BECAUSE FUCK PIZZA, HBO, AND JANNIES
Where the fuck was Cthulhu?
Whatever happened to his wife? She die off camera?
5/10 episode. What a fucking disappointment, and one of the shittiest endings I've ever seen.
Has Pizza literally never heard the phrase SHOW, DON'T TELL?
Literally rolled my eyes as the one eyed black man was literally explaining to the viewer exactly what happened. So fucking dumb. Nothing that happened in this episode even makes sense, Hoyts actions to cover it up don't even make any sense either. What a fucking joke this whole thing was.
Season 1 will NEVER be topped. Pizza peaked there, and he will never get there ever again.
I didn’t know it was the Hoyt lady since I didn’t look out for spoilers
What the fuck is Jacob's ladder
Roland with the bullied dog in his lap pulling up to Purple's house.
Everything felt off when they got to the pink room early in the finale. Like a balloon being deflated.
Imagine thinking Ardoun’s wife at the end was really Julie.
He saw this daughter, but he was killed and it was made to be a suicide.
Since his daughter was so fucked up from the lithium, she had no idea who she was.
But yeah, more fucking shit that was never addressed. Just hackneyed writing
How did he predict what 2010s cars and cell phones would be like
Why did Harris James kill Lucy? Why was Harris James willing to kill the dad just to protect his upper middle class job. Is it definite that the one eyed man was telling the truth?
Really don't think this is it chief. How brainlet can you actually be.
Dementia. Hayes mind finally steps into the thick jungle for good, and disappears.
I guess if i'd actually liked the characters i'd feel different about it.It all seems so cliché tho, like there's nothing innovative or new about this at all. Have you seen shutter island. You'd probably like it
So what the fuck was even the point of the Documentary woman? Literally who the fuck wrote this trash?
He was going into something new, dangerous and fearful with marriage.
But do we know that the girl is Julie? This makes no sense. Thats too retarded. Why didn't they just leave it ambiguous. An ending of "maybe she died or maybe she didnt" is better than "a former classmate recognized her somehow from a fuzzy photo and memory and then married her"
>implying Pizzolato would risk not getting invited to pedo parties anymore
God
I was really hoping that we would get more into the cult stuff like season 1. Instead it was just like season 2 "These events just happen to happen this way" it was basically just misfortune again?
his daughter was supposed to have run away by the time he got there tho
I don't even think Pizza was responsible for most of what made season 1 good. I think the majority of the themes and symbolism came from Fukunaga. Season 2 was OK, but it was too try hard and the symbols were more hamfisted and corny, but still decent. This season was hot garbage. Anyone seen Maniac? I think I wanna see what Fukunaga can do with another show, but the first episode was weird.
Even season 1’s ending was trash, why did you expect this season to have a good one?
Oh yeah, we never learned why Lucy was murdered. Was it just to tie up loose ends and cover everything up?
Who murdered Dan too?
I really think it was just some time is a flat circle shit. Something about analogies to real life and Nam and all that shit. It's everywhere in Vietnam movies and shit.
Relationships are more dangerous than Vietnam and Hays wants to go back there
the manlet bar fight was pretty funny
Great movie about some dudes who get fucked up in Vietnam and try to get their story out once they’re back stateside
But they’ve were KIA in Nam and it was all just a MK ultra dream as the main dude is dying
Needed more scenes of Roland and Hays just hanging out in the present.
>season 1 ending was trash
pleb detected
Maniac was good. Felt unique at least, decent balance of drama and comedy. Solid ending. Pretty fun Romcom element at times too surprisingly.
>atheist fags still seething 5 years later
kek
Anyone else get feels during the Roland/dog scenes?
So this dude was just not telling Hoyt, the guy paying him, about all this crazy shit he was helping cover up with his crazy wife or?..
I liked Maniac, but if you thought episode 1 was too weird it only gets weirder.
this season sucked, but now i kind of want to watch season 2 cuz it cant be worse than this
Cause we were hoping for atleast something good in this season. But nope
I've never seen a harder cope
There's no way that guys went on Recon SOLO in Vietnam, right? Like that just seems batshit insane to send one guy out on patrol like that. I always thought it was a whole squad that did that shit? Like a platoon or something.
Wikipedia says LRRP patrols consisted of teams of 6 men. So Pizza couldn't even get this fucking detail correct.
the finale was absolute pleb filter of the highest order
He saw the mural..
more happened in season two at least
Lucy wasn't murdered. Hoyt paid her off and she killed herself by ODing because she couldn't live with her actions anymore.
>the leaks were real
This what the fuck is with the loose ends. The only way it makes sense is if Roland or Henry got the one eyed man to tell a story just to get Mahershala to stop
What makes you think Hoyt didn't know?
The only time we saw Hoyt we saw he had been drinking heavily. Dude was probably miserable with everything that happened.
Once season 4 is out you fags will be talking about how great season 3 is, same thing happened with season 2.
No, they didn't.
Only sniper teams went in 2 man teams in 'nam. And even then, it often wasn't far from a FOB.
>implying there will be a season 4
DUDE EXPOSITION
I didn't think it was "weird" i just hate looking at Emma Stone's face. It makes me wanna do things to it. And this site has ruined Jonah HIll for me. He's just too unironically sad and pathetic. But the intro was very cool, i love subliminal imagery.
I dont think they said he went solo. He mentions earlier in the show that he knew guys and they had died.
Then why did James go to Vegas. Why was he willing to fight two guys with guns to cover it up
Well this made me horribly depressed. Rolands arc is so depressing. The scene with the scene with the dog was so good.
Season 4 won't happen
that was so fucking disappointing man
my night is genuinely ruined
Then why was Harris in vegas at the time Lucy killer herself
because the blonde reporter was a meta commentary on people that theorize batshit connections and believe them whole heartedly and then get disappointed when their headcannon doesnt come true
So....... did he kill the cousin?..........That could've been a good scene... but nah just left it out?
She was a drug addict that wanted more money from Hoyt. Hoyt sent the cop guy out there to kill her to keep her quiet since she became a liability.
Actually season 1's ending was excellent. I loved the parallel to the opening of the first episode (someone carrying someone else), the Christ metaphor, the story about being with his father and daughter again. If you don't like that well fuck you.
I stayed up until 3am to watch that dogshit ending
>i just hate looking at Emma Stone's face
this site doesn't allow faggots
Did you fucking forget the part that Harris James flew to Vegas? It's the main reason they went after him and beat him up in that barn.
He was the one who gave her the sack of hush money that night. Broke the news about Julie to her, paid her, then Lucy killed herself
I should have just watched The Oscars.
Maniac gets really good with Episode 3.
I assume Harris James killed him.
The cousin dude literally said 'He doesn't renegotiate', implying that Hoyt sent Harris to kill her to keep her quiet.
Yea Forums is like 80% faggots you dumbass
Roland got redpilled on women and realized dogs are better at love than women.
That is some glow in the dark shit.
First season: actual pedo cult with actual pedo cult symbol, with high up elites covering up the abuse
Second season: Hollywood elites doing depraved, incest sex shit, but nothing too dark like season 1
Third season: CONSPIRACIES AREN'T REAL GUYS I WAS JUST KIDDING HERES A BLACK GUY INTERSECTIONALISM
How do you Jew up a show that bad in 2 seasons? It went from redpill to periwinkle blue pill. So glad I didn't watch past episode 3.
I hope an autistic user makes an edit of all the pieces from all the episodes together in correct chronological order.
It was a metaphor for marriage.
this
Atleast even giving us scenes of Harris doing dirty work like that would've given us more excitement than all the flash back scenes with Hays fighting with his waifu...
this. it reminded me of superman
No, you fucking moron. It was his mind falling apart to dementia.
1 >2>3. Was really let down with the finale I kept waiting on some esoteric or even more otherworldly type stuff. Makes Season 2 shine brighter now tho
She literally looks like a dude. Her eyebrows, her weird eyes and jaw. I feel like I'm looking at a man. I liked her as a blonde in Spiderman but that was it. Every other movie she's repulsive.
Streams are all doing faggot oscars so I missed it. What happened? Was the wife in on some shit?
Zoomer pls
CHAOS REIGNS
PUNISH ME
More like 55% straight males, 5% gay males, and 40% girls.
Nothing happened. No one was in on anything.
The other day people were saying here how they stretched out this plot way too thin, and I disagreed.
Well, after this finale, I definitely agree now. This was stretched out way too long and could have easily been condensed into less than 4 episodes. What a fucking unsatisfying conclusion. All the other episodes were better than the finale. Every single one of them.
Because we're all still in Vietnam too, duh.
the show has never been about the conspiracies though. S1 despite the pedo shit was really just about the character drama of the detectives. People keep wanting this show to be about grand conspiracies being solved but after 3 seasons its obvious pizza has no interest in that.
Didn’t watch.
Was it Lovecraftian again?
He was sad to lose his friend(s) yet again (Purcell dad suicide, Wayne is quitting the force after investigation got shut down again). Taking the dog in after the bar fight is meant to contrast his episode 1 attempt to kill the fox when he and Wayne are drinking before they get the Purcell call.
Roland's growth comes in his admitting that he wants human connection. His relationship with Wayne meant a lot more to Roland than it seemed to Wayne (who had his own problems with Amelia to deal with), which is the only thing I wish they'd put a little more focus on at the end. The relationship healed but I wanted a little more fanfare.
Hope in one hand and shit in the other. Let me know which one fills up first.
God I miss classic Lars Von Trier. Anyone like The House that Jack Built? I feel like he kind of started sucking after Melancholia.
then what was the chiropractor scene all about?
40% "girls"
>DUDE NOTHING LMAO
Absolutely atrocious season and a safe reason to drop this IP as a whole. Fuck pizzalatte
...
Yeah some black magic made me watch this shit every week
This dude was old as fuck at that time in the story and we're just suppose to believe he was still alive when Hays and Roland were old as fuck.. They almost seemed older than him.
And 90% of those 40% "girls" are discord trannies
PIZZACOLA DOES IT AGAIN THE MADMAN
such a disappointment, i'm starting to believe s1 was just a big accident. this guy can't write
>Well, I'd certainly say she had marvelous judgment, Albert... if not particularly good taste.
What's the deal with strange relationship with the daughter and that awkward car ride at the end?
Yea Forums tell me when did Purple hold a baseball bat into the pirate black man ?
I dont remember that baseball during that time in the black village with Rolland.
God/Angel helping to set his soul free.
I'm gussing there's a lot of hidden meaning in this season
Shut the fuck up, of course the show was about conspiracies. The masked murder/sex cult and Marty fighting with his wife was straight out of Eyes Wide Shut. The show literally used an actual FBI pedo symbol as its main icon throughout the season. There's so many other things pointing to it being about a massive government coverup at the highest elite levels. Then EVERY season after that has been moving further and further away from that shit. Almost as if some jewish producer started fucking with the plot lines so as to not redpill too many people. Read this shit.
vigilantcitizen.com
>tfw your boy leaves you for a bitch
i know that feel.
man....
We didn't. People just like to pretend they're smart and figured things out when they really had no idea either.
proof that pizzalasagna is so pretentious he thinks he's above and also hates his own fans.
When he went outside to confront the mystery car and Roland got the plates
I want Ray Velcoro back pls
He hit his car with a baseball bat when he caught him sitting outside his house at night.
good season
This.
Remember? His dead son shows up and walks him up the staircase to reveal what’s going on.
It really was a good movie
*sip*
Season 1 was entirely the work of Fukunaga. He changed everything from mediocre to good. Go read the original script, it's nothing like the actual show. The original script didn't even have antlers, it had a veil with flowers. Every little thing was the result of having a genuinely good director for all 8 episodes. Everything since has just been a cashgrab. It never should have had more than 1 season. End of story.
it was in the present when purple kept looking out the window because he thought the black car out his window was a stalker. He approached with a bat and it drove off, but Roland got a photo of the license plate
>Shut the fuck up, of course the show was about conspiracies. The masked murder/sex cult and Marty fighting with his wife was straight out of Eyes Wide Shut. U//LES
man wheres the TS//5EYE
Seemed like the original story was too woke and HBO or Warner forced it to change into this mess
i been to a spine surgeon, a epidural specialist, 3 lawyers, and a seedy pain management clinic...
why cant god set me free already, its been 9 years of living with my parents as an incel with only Yea Forums to subsitute for friends.
Dude, I'm just thinking (((they))) are destroying pizza: lots of shit must've been censored, even more so than s2, because it was all nothing like the conspiracies S1 showed and S2 kinda tried to show.
It seemed like every episode was just Hays fighting with his wife... Even the goddamn last episode was him fighting with his wife..
No, he just got jewed over by the evil producers. "Don't want those goys catching on too quick now Pizzagato!" (if that even is his real name..)
I feel broken, I think it gave me dementia, maybe is because is 5 am, but fuck me, I did not hate it, but I am not feeling happy or satisfied it just happened.
Maybe is not that I don't like the ending, but the way it came to us, it was delivered. Like Fargo 2.
>letting politics decide wether or not you like a show
you're just as bad as the trannies
LMAO this season was passive aggressive as fuck. Pizza loaded this season with red herrings because people didn’t like his horrible attempts at a second season.
Fukunaga is True Detective.
>No Wife man
>Family whats that like
>No old friends
"Woah woah woah. We gotta make sure the conspiracy theorist is insane and never acknowledge the first season. Otherwise my pool of baby blood might dry up!"
accurate portrayal of marriage
>Like Fargo 2.
But Fargo 2 was the best Fargo
classic beginner mistake
YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING WHEN WRITING HORROR/MYSTERY
MUCH LESS WITH A CONFESSION AT THE NED THAT INCLUDES FLASHBACKS
detective novels need to end with UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
"i just signed up for a creative writing course" tier
They could have even elaborated on Roland more.. about his break downs after they killed Harris. Shown how it affected his waifu and why they fell apart.
So Roland goes without a family because of the guilt from killing Harris? Is that what we’re supposed to take away from this?
I couldn't even watch the last episode of Fargo season 2. I liked some aspects but it was just too all over the place. Plus I broke up with my boyfriend around that time and we had always watched everything together so I didn't wanna be reminded.
Isn't the script hundreds of pages
yikes
Get outta here
....1 is truly the loneliest number in the world.
Jeremy Saulnier should have directed the whole season instead of just the first couple episodes. Season 1 showed how much having a single director’s consistent vision helps a show like this.
Kys fag
TD s1 > Maniac = TD s2 > TD s3
just my humble opinion.
he called out their mafia in season 2 and he used the k word... i couldnt believe he got away with that. He cited them for being big players in 2 big industries.
i think they brought in milch to make him write something tame.
Seems like it.
A good director can turn a so-so script into a masterpiece, as when going over it and shooting it, they can add things the writer didn't think about.
Of course it wasn't going to be as good as season 2 even Caspere knew this.
The one good thing from this finale was the thought of Roland and Hayes as roommates and Roland hanging out with Hayes black family all the time now
Season 2 was a large conspiracy, though? There were just several different factions involved, plus the two kids forming a "rogue" faction.
No tits at all. Sad!
>the dad being gay had no story relevance and went nowhere
>Amelia's "dark past" is never elaborated on and has no story relevance
>Elisa is completely pointless and her investigation accomplishes nothing except giving 2015 Hays a reason to talk about the case
>Hays and West literally murder a dude and there are no consequences or atonement for it, they fucking talk to his widow even
>Central mystery's resolution was CSI level exposition dump trash and everything actually got figured out weeks ago by anyone paying attention
It was still better than S2
It's like the original Avatar the Last Airbender. Everything the creators made after was fucking awful. But somehow, everything just came together for that one show. And it was greater than every other kids show ever made.
Yeah wtf?!
while taking care of a bunch of dogs
it's a pretty comfy end
Season 2 actually stayed really interesting because of all the different characters. Frank and Ray teaming up to take the stash house was kino as fuck. Even the black mountain stuff with Paul was great. We all just shit on it because of Season 1's greatness.. Caspere knew this.
S2 > S3 > S1
the s3 finale will be vindicated with either pizzolatto's cut or with the deleted scenes on the blu ray
Damn man.
You be livin like this ?
Season 2 is kino
okay but you cheated and looked on imdb like a faggot
Shut up and get to work
Yeah true. I guess I just didn't like the rogue faction out of left field so suddenly
i really want stephen dorff to be in more things
he fucking killed it in this. i looked at his filmography and it is just garbage, how has not gotten better roles? he's got the talent
I think it gave me dementia too.
I'm forgetting shit, like...where did season 3 even go? Did it happen? Did I watch it? Some kids went missing? Why? That's it?
It was but they never got deep into it. Sex party, but no underage girls or ritual sacrifices. Incest, but no one involved knew it was incest. It was like it was declawed. Like Pizzagato wanted it to reveal all the evil shit in Hollywood but they stopped him. Season 3 was even worse, at this point its controlled opposition working against conspiracies.
Man Scoot Mcnairy fucking KILLED it as Tom this season. Best actor of the series as far as I'm concerned.
f
Finally the season is over so I can fully confirm that Amelia is a fucking bitch with zero remorse.she is more unrepentant than the actual people behind all of this
How does she manage to be worse than a literal drug addicted roastie who sold her kids for money
no one cares enough about this shitshow to do that lmao
actor rankings
stephen dorff > scott mcnairy > mahershala ali
No, Hays tells Amelia "I spent a lot of time in the jungle. Most of it alone."
It's not accurate but it's supposed to fit the character. Like how he would wonder off alone to find Mike
My face started to contort during the exposition dump. It just kept going and going. Pizza had over 8 hours of story time to work with but he thought it was appropriate for a character to sit at a table and tell Hays and West everything through a giant 15 minute monolgue. What the fuck.
pieces of what?
should i go back and watch season 2? i forget what it's even about, someone spoil what the conspiracy is
True, he's always been a good actor but has never gotten enough roles.
There is a loose end that hasn't been addressed. Tom saw Julie inside the pink room. This was at a time when Julie, according to June's story, already escaped.
If that was the case the room must have been unoccupied and yet Tom acted as if he saw her. This also raises the question why Harris James would keep an eye on the pink room if there is no one in there. They could have just locked it instead.
Also the Halloween ghosts which were specifically pointed out by Mike and showed up in a photo either have actual significance or are just a red herring.
You would need a fucking Rust Chloe storage unit and years to tie together all the memory flash backs in season 3...
diamonds
>Casperere knew this
Can we bring this meme back
same. Hopefully this will get him some room to get into something good. He did a awesome job
I recorded it and it cut out when he and his wife were reconciling at the bar. What did I miss after he proposes?
Also disappointed they pulled that memory shit at the end because I knew it was coming all season.
Yeah this was a big issue for me. Dude hadn't aged a BIT since fucking 1990. He should have been dead.
yep... i also got ulcer colitis... but i refuse to do anything about it becuase fuck getting a camera put up my ass, i cant afford to see a gi specialist either.
the plan is to keep dipping and eventually get mouth cancer leading to eating hollow points.
i think there is something poetic about eating a bullet as a fuck you to the gods who have not allowed me to do something as simple as eat a meal without big complications.
weren't the ghosts isabel and the one-eyed black guy?
Dudes acting was fucking amazing..
so there's never going to be any resolution to why they were interviewing teachers and students at school on a saturday in the first episode?
>Tom saw Julie inside the pink room.
No he saw her drawings on the wall.
ill give you the first (you)
Pretty sure he just saw the drawings on the wall and connected the dots
Wasn't there a large drawing on the wall with the name "Julie"
I told you faggots he was concerned about Julie and was looking to protect her
Pieces of episodes. Someone should make an edit of all the scenes in chrono order. It could be three movie length parts. Part one = 1980, part two = 1990, part three = 2015. Oh and a really short part of whenever the fuck Hayes was dropping his daughter at college and working as a security guard. I bet this season would be True Kino if someone did that.
It's not a good mystery without red herrings. The exposition was unacceptable for sure.
This guy used to hike miles, crawl past enemy patrols and shoot generals in the face.
So Yea Forums, tell me how do we explain the call from Julie Purcell in the 90 timeline? Who was the man "pretending" to be her father and what did he do to her?
But she was the true detective.
It said "Mary"
Nothing, some corrupt politician get murder on the eve of a big project ran funded by vince vaughn. Cali elites have sex parties. Turns out the murderers where just two kids whose parents were murdered by the corrupt cops and covered up by the corrupt govt. Also some gang/cartel shit that vince and velcoro break up but get killed because they couldnt let go of their past
I think you are on to something. I think the reason season 2 got bad reviews is because the story was taking a giant swing at corrupt Commiefornia. The critics and bloggers are paid off by the studios to talk bad about season even though it was based.
He didnt literally see Julie, he saw her drawings.
Harris didn't specifically keep an eye on the pink room. He saw where Tom was headed (the big spooky vault door and keep out signs probably gave Tom an idea of where to go) and followed him in.
The ghosts were Isabelle and Mr. June
This season deserved an Emmy nomination in almost every category and a Razzy award for script
Hey guys, maybe the real "True Detective" was the friends we made along the way?
jeremy used up more than 1/3 of their total shooting time (on less than 2 out of 8 episodes - looks like sackheim shot a lil bit of ep 2 from behind the scenes footage) before he quit. he literally sabotaged the rest of the show to make his episodes better
Did you even watch the show? Bitch was brainwashed and mentally ill. Believed hoyt daughter and PUNISH ME were her real parents.
I thought about that possibility but it just doesn't add up. Why would they stalk the kids to their meeting place if there was no foul play going on? I'm not ruling it out but it just seems strange. If we take the story at face value then they wouldn't have been required to be forced into hiding unless they knew that something bad would happen to the kids in the near future and their faces shouldn't be anywhere near them so to not connect them to the crime.
She's a terrible person and at the end when Purple proposes, she makes it like it's his fault, even though she literally killed his career and only wanted info from him, without showing any actual affection.
If not for the leak, I would have thought she was in on it when the dude that calls her from the car early on.
> Hays realises that he's talking to July Purcell, all grown up
> Figures that it's just better for her sake that no one else knows
> Looks outside to see Roland playing ball with his grandchildren
> Hays smiles, rips up the address and throws it in the bin
> Walks outside into the sunlight
> Season end
There, I fixed your hack show
there was no big conspiracy. the victim was killed by two kids trying to avenge their parents who had died in a robbery. that's it. In one of the first few episodes they show a guy who is implied to host weird sexual parties for hollywood elites but it never goes anywhere. it could have been a good story. pizza is a HACK
He died, or at least completely lost his memories
also the reuse of the best music from the hospital scene in S1, trying to get me to feel
The investigation on the night that the kids disappeared was the height of the series.
I thought there was something about a train line too?
he named who imported those girls in the show.
the thing is... in hollywood, that behavior aint evil... its the normal cost of doing business, no one sees it that way, the press is paid to look the other way.
its truly a weimar new age when you think about all the old producers who live like one percenters, have perfectly good families and great standard of living, but they all go out to the dinner with their little club and brag to each other about the actresses that they turned out... and that is just the a list and b list girls... they. the agents, lawyers, etc have probaly bed 1,000 girls each easy.
its easy for us to judge the girls, but if it were your daughter or sister, you wouldnt be so judging... the issue is that this is the world we find our selves in... and despite all the virtue signaling, its not going away... you can find it being normal course of action in universitys where the student athletes stack body counts.
this is the ugly side of our nature... not everyone does it, plenty of people fight it or dont give in, but it just has grown roots and it seems unlikely it will stop... rome was like this, babalyon was like this, europe too.
It got bad reviews because it was badly directed, miscast dogshit.
Duh. Then the Metoo Weinstein shit happens, the series nearly gets canceled, and it only gets brought back by embracing left-wing Hollywood inter-sectionalism, black lead, "famous writer black wife" (Jesus fucking christ what were the smoking when the did that one), and RACISM UNGGHH. Then they have to mock actual conspiracies too cause they can't have people catching on. This show has been compromised. Stop watching ya'll.
>There are people who still don’t get it
The “characters” this season were all actors for the show True Criminal, but the actor playing Wayne has “real” dementia. It’s a show within a show within a show.
you know its true. sorry you can only handle BIG EPIC METAPHYSICAL GOOD VS EVIL themes like the rest of your trash diet of "art" you weaned on
(note: even though I think s1 is the weakest its still great). but thanks for being an annoying jerk
It got bad reviews because it had a bloated story. It tried to be every film noir at once
first two lines actually happened, watch it again
Funny enough, I think season 2 has the most satisfying finale of all three seasons despite by far being the worst season overall.
I liked this season a lot, but in the end there's just not a lot to the story and it feels a little anticlimactic and the twist of events was called by everyone here several episodes ago.
Yeah I know, just setting up the context of the final scene
yes, vince vaughn's character was trying to buy plots of land which he knew were going to be bought up by the government in a few years for a rail line. He needs to launder his money first so he gives it all to the dude who gets killed in the first episode, messing up his plan, which is how he becomes interested in solving the case, he wants to find the killer and get his money back
Maybe she just wanted to follow her surrogate kid around on halloween like real parents do
>this is the ugly side of our nature... not everyone does it, plenty of people fight it or dont give in, but it just has grown roots and it seems unlikely it will stop... rome was like this, babalyon was like this, europe too.
its normal man, the depraved shit is so normal for the rest of the world, in the west, especially in the US, the majority of people live such wholesome lives....
that's just gone baby gone basically
I disagree.
>there was no big conspiracy.
Yes there was you dummy.
>season 1
>rust finds god
>season 3
>roland finds dog
>time is a flat circle
This was the drawing he would have seen.
can someone sum up what happened in the finale?
dropped it after episode 5
Nothing happened
so was isabelle into dungeons and dragons or was it junius
the whole case was about a murder which at the end of the show is explained to have been committed by two kids trying to avenge their dead parents...
No this is the drawing he would have seen
Season 3 didn't happen
doesnt ever come up agane
It just fucks with me because overall I l liked it this season quite a bit but she just never redeemed herself in my eyes. Three different characters called her out on how manipulative she really was but nothing ever comes out of it. She’s just presented as a victim and the people calling what out are just assholes.
It’s really my big negative of the season. I’m genuinely okay with how grounded the mystery was by the end of it but I could have done with out her shitty attitude.
he would probably recognize his own daughter's drawings even if her name isn't on it
that fucking mind fuck Amelia explanation was not needed at all man......
Recapables pod: overcast.fm
>Ali wins oscar
>Green book wins best director
>Our True Detective S3 finale was utter shit
Lmao fuck him
No this is the drawing he would have seen.
It would have been better if it were pedophiles. Convince me otherwise.
What's season 3? Season 3 of what?
Shit, what is 4channel? Isn't this Yea Forums?
No, this is
>by two kids trying to avenge their dead parents...
it was accidental, the brother was interrogating him
god dammit this season was a bigger letdown than season 1. I was hooked after the first episode, I ignored the "nothing happened" meme, I remained hopeful that the finale would rectify the slow pacing, and in the end, truly, nothing happens. I tried to defend Pizzaman and this is what I get.
I'm not even going to bother with season 4.
I think Nic is writing these reddit posts
>Someone actually had to draw these for the show.. they got paid to do it.
lul
i forgot. desu most of it was very forgettable
i know it aint what we all wanted
but the interactions with people is what makes TD great
>tfw no gf
>no family
>ALONE
>the whole case
And who killed their parents? Who killed the DA that actually wanted to look into what was going on with the powerful people getting together?
Did you entirely miss that Chesani, the Cartel, the Russian Mafia, the Vinci Lieutenant, and all different anonymous rich and powerful people that were part of the rail line deal? Did you forget that the land was fucking poisoned so that it couldn't be used for farming and could be purchased incredibly cheaply and they could make bank on the federal government buying the land up for the railway?
The initial murder is just what got them looking.
CAPTAIN OF THE VARSITY SLUT TEAM
He's short
Where's my Cthulu? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
idk I forgot most of it but I think their parents were killed when the jewelry they were working at got robbed.
and they never really focused on the rail line conspiracy...
So is almost everyone in hollywood
Dorf is 5'8
Why does everyone reddit like the ending and think it's wholesome, and everyone on here think it was terrible? Is there something wrong with them?
I don't think s3 was terrific but I remember how a lot of people decided that Amelia was a killer after just the first episode and didn't want to give up on this theory just because it would be "shocking twist". So this post makes a good point.
>here is what happened
>btw i dont remember what happened
Shut the fuck up
It was pretty disappointing but I kinda like the happy ending old Hayes and Roland got
Julie did die, Ardoin’s wife wasn’t Julie.
Nah
New thread
Yeah...
I liked that it made Season 2 look even better.
what an absolute garbage last episode and season
