The writers left a huge fucking hole in Vic's testimony omitting THAT escapade and she wouldn't even have to worry about Ronnie being killed in lock-up, since Antwon would move heaven and earth to keep him alive in order to use Ronnie to gain his freedom, as a side effect of helping Ronnie fuck Vic over.

Vic gets shitted on a lot in life and the writers don't shy away from showing him as a toxic influence on everyone around him.

Raylan meanwhile is a huge fucking Mary Sue and the show bends over backwards and then some to make him always 100% right, never show him suffering any consequences for his actions (and the few consequences he does face never actually hurt him and only benefit to further push the "Raylan is always 100% right") and the ending implies that he'll continue to skate through life on his charm and witt and luck.

Fun fact: the original planned ending had Ronnie die a hero's death when they busted the Mexican Mafia big-wig.

Shane was supposed to be the one dragged out in cuffs after being arrested and finding out Vic sold him and Ronnie down the river.

They gave Ronnie Shane's ending when Walt Goggins was only available for a limited amount of time for the final third of the final season/other elements planned for the final season fell through.
