does alita have a functional pusy and/or butthole?
Ian Russell
I think its hilarious that people are acting proud to share the tastes of "humans" who pushed boonie bears to make a billion dollars.
Joshua Gonzalez
Why was momsen arrested?
Parker Davis
user, feminists and mainstream media already hate Alita. Only fans will watch the sequel and people who get hop in by word of mouth. At title won't sunk or make the movie.

>So maybe I'm out of the loop, but how does this movie not get shilled to hell and back by the left/feminist media? Main character is an ultra relatable, strong young female that gets shit done and did not feel like a 'let's write a male character but give him a vagoo' type for one second.
They simply didn't notice it. Captain Marvel is the movie that's Important and entirely their focus because it's yet another Mouse Movie.
Joseph Torres

You must be mentally challenged and a newfag is you think this thread is just Yea Forums regulars and not people from other boards of this cambodian tapestry imageboard dedicated to anime watching. FFS, half of the posters are discussing a 25yo manga, do you really think "0.5 rupees per post" shill would fucking know about it?
Colton Gutierrez
>What do you mean you haven't seen my movie yet? I'd go see your movie, user...
What is the point? The people who would rage at this are already enraged.
Austin Phillips
I just got back from seeing it, it was a lot better than I expected, and Cameron kept faith to the source material more than I expected. I 100% was expecting him to concoct some BS happy ending like typical hollywood trash and the fact he didn't stoop to that alone made me walk out of the theater much more impressed than I thought I would be.
Anthony Morales
It's 3.2m and it's 14% higher than Aquachad's opening just 3 weeks earlier.
So Cameron is the ghost-director, right? There's no way Rodriguez put this out.
David Turner
>critics backpedaling Fucking faggots.
Logan Davis
Who cares about literal paid shills aka """""critics"""".
Daniel Clark
He did concoct a happy ending, though. Because hugo doesn't reject alita on the wire. As that was the emotional payload of that sequence for alita. She risks everything, breaks laws, fights tooth and nail for this guy, begs to be enough for him, and he's perfectly comfortable dying if he can't have salem.
Cameron Perry
>the filter doesn't move
Ryder Walker
So we're looking at $10-15M total from Japan? Holy crap, that's pretty shit. That wouldn't even make top-30 box office in any given year.
Even Black Panther might have a higher box office total.
Sebastian Johnson
reminder its literally marketers trying to keep it at 60% in order to manage expectations, assuming the reason for the TLJ backlash was perceived "bait and switch."
Josiah Ward
Can't have everything. I guess they wanted to make Hugo more likable / understandable, the romance was definitely more played up than in the original and Hugo's obsession decreased, but the overall trajectory of the story was more or less the same. Granted it's been ages since I watched Gunnm.
Jackson Diaz
Uh, he didn't reject her in the manga or OVA either. It's exactly like the source material.
Shes not the "right" kind of female hero. What the want is a plain woman who does everything the men do because muh equality. Alita is girly cute and desirable exactly what they dont want .
Andrew Russell
hollywood anime adaptions don't do big numbers in japan
Camden Cooper
I have seen virtually no negative feedback from the people who watched it. We can expect at least them to go watch it again. Also, your reasoning with the name, while sound, would take some thinking to get. People won't just "Wow Panzer Bride, she's like white men's slave now." Marriage is a still a sacred thing outside the US and the cucked west, ie, where this movie was successful, so instead of subconsciously associating 'bride' with a bad thing, they'll associate it with the continuation of the womanly journey that was the first movie.
Yea, he does. In the OVA and manga his expression while falling is that of perfect contentment.
His expression in the movie is mild confusion.
Samuel Torres
The damage was done. Alita was derailed during its most crucial opening weekends and second week leg. Now the "critics" will start praising this film to regain keep themselves in line with the audience.
Ryder Campbell
The issue is power dynamics. A true feminist hero smashes the patriarchy, rejects the power dynamics that give men power over her, shatters their control. Alita doesn't really do any of that. She loves and cherishes her "father", she loves a man and does everything she can to save him and make his dreams come true. For all her strength and ferocity she's a thing built by men for men to use against one another.
No feminist would ever like what Alita represents.
Matthew Green
it's interesting that it was literally one review away from a fresh rating on friday and saturday and it switched to fresh on Sunday
Hunter Cook

Jose Morgan
im talking about the sub-textual association to lolita
Gabriel Bell
Movie was promising up until the roller ball snooze fest and Hugo love substory, then it devolved into a mediocre green screen movie.

This movie is going to bounce between 59% rotten and 60% fresh in critical score forever isn't it?
Jeremiah Ward
Sequel announcement when? Sequel itself when?
Charles Brooks
It's not making 100 million domestic after that drop. maybe 85 million It will start losing screens in China as soon as next week since Dragon 3 is opening. the week after that is Captain Marvel. So maybe 120-130 million there. OS-China will be probably higher though. 180-200 million.
Jayden Hughes
>She loves and cherishes her "father", she loves a man and does everything she can to save him and make his dreams come true Yeah, a good daughter and wife. No wonder why feminist hate her.
something really fishy about it, watch as it goes way past 60 when its run is over
Aaron Morgan
>No feminist would ever like what Alita represents.
Feminists are sick, bitter, twisted, broken things.
Jayden Stewart
Third time yesterday, would shereen be back on the next sequel?
Luke Myers
Foreign can go to 175-200 with 2 week good leg. China can still be up to 200m Japan may reach 20m I cannot disagree about the US, the NPCs have taken over it.
Jaxson Murphy
She grows out of a childhood in Battle Angel. It's actually the whole point of the movie. I'm expecting in the sequel that we'll at least find out she was a space nazi, since the actual name will be Fallen Angel.
Jackson Murphy
Kinda seems like it. He co-wrote the script and produced it, so he was heavily involved.
Ryan Jackson
>Shes not the "right" kind of female hero.
Right in this case meaning "owned by Disney or DC"
That's all it is.
Grayson Green
It's a really interesting way to blend the concept of a formidable warrior with traditional female virtues, which feminists don't really have any respect for. If it's not about "destroying the system" they're not interested. Alita doesn't have a problem with the system, she doesn't question it or challenge it, she only wants to be happy.
The lack of awareness of the greater "struggle" as feminists see it, is what dooms this movie in their eyes.
Justin Peterson
Naa he doesn't reject her youtube.com/watch?v=tofSaLB9kwE&feature=youtu.be&t=3026 (forgive the dub) He agrees with her, then as he hangs he accepts his fate. It isn't as dramatic as the movie but it's the same emotional beat.
Robert Phillips
So not owned by Disney or DC = good?
Solid and high quality standard you and many others like you have
Austin Fisher
>even the most optimistic camerocucks are predicting this lose money now lol
Dylan Anderson
In the OVA and manga, the scrapyard is an inescapable hell. Thus it is perfectly understandable that he'd rather die than be granted the "gift" of cybernetic immortality so he can stay in literally hell forever as 10% of the man he used to be.
In the movie, there is no real sound justification for his salem obsession. As they gutted his backstory and made the scrapy- wait, excuse me, iron city, no worse than any city. A generally pleasant place that people could come and go from whenever they pleased.
Landon Ross
There's no way it will hit 200 million in China.
Jose Morgan

The city is floating because it's dangling from a space elevator right? Why didn't the URM just cut that part and let it drop instead of assaulting the tubes??
Jack Campbell
I realize I'm trying to explain emotions to an autistic person, but the fact he makes no effort to save himself is the bit that indicates it's a rejection of her.
Henry Scott
Script was Cameron's (cut 30-40 minutes shorter by Rodriq), and I assume Jim hang around at the shootings to check up on how his waifu was progressing, but I think Rodriquez did a lot of the work. The action scenes feel like him.
Jackson Reyes
is that even possible? why is it still being updated in the first place? shouldn't all the critics have seen it already?
David Jenkins
>foreign can hit $200M
No, in the biggest markets South Korea/UK, they've already been out for 20 days. Everywhere else, 2 weeks.
You're a broken brain obsessed weirdo and wildly projecting, just FYI
Jose Lopez
>when alita cries "what did you do?!" as she holds on to hugo
fucking heartbreaking. it didn't hit me at all the first time but the second and third time i went it really hit home because i was focused much more on her expressions.
In the movie he's basically stealing hubcaps off cars. As cybernetic parts are cheap and plentiful.
Adam Smith
Because "shit OC for the movie".
Lucas Russell
Everyone associated is all in really, and they're smart and looking at how well the audience has received it. They need to market it much better next time around. We'll probably get a sequel in 2022, I think Avatar 2 is dropping end of next year.
Ryan Flores
>reading volume 5 this story did not go in the direction I wanted it to.
Josiah Clark
Yeah I definitely didn't like the portrayal of the city, I felt the first act of the movie was by far its weakest. It wasn't until the second act I started getting really invested. In this case though I don't think despair was lacking, they had the right elements, but they made people too content, too at home.
They definitely softened the despair for movie audiences, I won't deny it, but I think once the movie picks up momentum it starts to shine. It's not a perfect adaptation but it's far better than I was expecting.
Dude another movie I got hyped for and then was super disappointed. Tired of this shit.
Isaiah Howard
hey HEY
Ido slaps together a body for hugo in like 30 minutes. Why the fuck didn't he give his daughter an intermediate body while he was working on her porcelain body? Why did he force her to stay in a wheel chair if he could've replaced her useless body inside an hour with something serviceable and fuctional?!
Adam Green
>be in theater >"You made the biggest mistake of your life. And what's that?" >audience eyes widen in anticipation >"Underestimating who I am." >audiences starts clapping and screaming with laughter while throwing their fedoras at the screen >on the back of me I hear people singing The Game of Thrones tune with the text "men blown the fuck out" >Salazar rolls out a rag doll esque Ruth Bader Ginsburg in front of the screen and starts dancing like PSY while chanting "UP UP UP UPVOTE REDDIT STYLE" >meanwhile people pull out their phones and start taking pictures of RBG and posting it on reddit claiming she's still alive >as I wanted to leave the theater I stumble on a band of 30 manchildren chanting "UPVOTE REDDIT STYLE .... UP, UP UP UPVOTE REDDIT STYLE" while dancing like PSY >desperately trying to escape this hell hole I see alot of children crying of fear but their parents don't seem to respond >as I take a look around the theatre trying to find an escape I come to the conclusion that the whole audience except for the children are singing and dancing "UPVOTE REDDIT STYLE" >in a desperate attempt to survive I pick one of the pusssyhats on the ground and start chanting "times up men" to every person I come across while trying to escape >the crowd didn't seem to notice me and as I walked out of the theater I looked back >the children are getting crushed by the amount of people dancing and singing like PSY >i remember the tears on their faces but all I heard while finally leaving the theater were the people screaming "upvote reddit style"
No he's actually right, they're mentally broken and believe in a sick marxist ideology. They believe this so it makes them feel unlike an individual...that's why they have shit tats, piercings, and hair color to try and make themself out to be an individual and seem interesting. They're not though, and so no one wants to be around them besides other weird cat ladies and they become resentful for it. Alita is a genuinely female character that's bright eyed, innocent, depends on and love others around her. Its something they could never be so they hate her for it.
Leo Cox
Alita toddling around the house and goggling at everything with her big anime eyes for the first several scenes is hardly "breakneck pace".
Hunter Garcia
>It will start losing screens in China as soon as next week since Dragon 3 is opening Dragon 3 had done poorly internationally compared to Dragon 2. It's only taken about half of Dragon 2's international tally despite being released nearly 2 months in some markets.
Dylan Clark
>. As they gutted his backstory and made the scrapy- wait, excuse me, iron city, no worse than any city. A generally pleasant place that people could come and go from whenever they pleased Yeah, nothing beats being dismembered and getting your face blowtorched by a negro the moment you're a bit successful.
Julian Taylor
If you don't fall in love with something as pure and cute as Alita it's safe to say that your mind and very soul are built wrong.
Ryan Rogers
drug dealers, criminals and low lives have spare time, this isn't a surprise. There's only so many crimes you need to do in a week to get by
Cameron Miller
You do realize it's a reference to throwing her to the scrap yard right?
Thomas Turner
You are oddly fixated in her being a child, user.
Zachary Allen
I don't think it's just that. I don't have a problem with Captain Marvel from what I've seen. A lot of people in the West just don't like the cutesy anime aesthetic.
Lincoln Carter
He's in a gang, play during the day and cut peoples limbs off at night
Elijah Gray
Yeah but this is a movie, they choose what parts of life to show us. They chose to show us a bunch of scenes that make us think "see it's not so bad, it's like any other town" which spoils the atmosphere of despair that makes us understand and sympathize with Hugo's motivations to prey on people. They adequately foreshadow him being a scrapper so I won't say this is bad writing per se, but it's a bit of tone conflict.
Jeremiah Stewart
she goes from 300 year old head in a pile of scrap to body to running around the city in about ten minutes. Not sure how you wouldn't describe that as breakneck.
Andrew Perry
>Everywhere else, 2 weeks You know that they already made 137m in just two weeks right?
Gabriel Myers
Breakneck in creating an interesting character and setting. Took a girl to see it that didn't know anything about it and she was enthralled then the alley fight scene she was wondering wtf was going on at that point.
Kayden Phillips
i don't give a shit, but i do care about what others might think, and sexuality and age is a critical breaking point between Japanese culture and that of the west

Stop pretending you read the manga. Entry/exit from the city was nearly impossible for everyone, it was surrounded by a wall of pressurized acid, and salem would shoot down any flying object that got more than a dozen meters off the ground.
Bentley Wood
>Cameron talking about the Alita/Gally rename and the original Manga title
Bless him, fucking weebs think this is some cranked out shit, he cares so much about this its impressive.
Is the Alita general for talking and discussing this movie in incredibly more substantive depth than the actual movie delivers? It’s mindblowing to read this amount of fanboy dick sucking

BREAKING NEWS: The secret of tiphares was not butchered. Pic related is why Chirens brain exists for all of you wondering. In the movie the microchips exist but the brain is not fully removed, like in pic related, taken from Gunnm, the official Alita manga.
you mean the black guy from the manga? yeah i wonder why...
fucking western civilization you mean
Luis Sanders
Just get a trip so I can hide your posts
Michael Allen
The depth is coming from people talking about the source material. The movie is shallow as fuck.
Ryder Jenkins
Watching it for the third time today I've come to the realisation that there is simply so much information density in the script; nearly every line has a purpose. So much so that even on the third viewing I was picking up things I missed the first time.
There are unironically a deceptively large number of layers to this film, if you missed it first time watch it again.
Anthony Wilson
It's pretty much the only city left in the world and in the manga the city was where the US was so of course there'd be black people.
Jaxson Price
Gotchya, it’s time for me to get out of here

citizens of jeru's brains aren't harvested. But good try pretending like you even knew the manga existed before they hired you to shill this shit.
Matthew Smith
>The movie is shallow as fuck.
So is the source material, but I still love it.
Noah Hernandez
Non-animefag here, what does Nova do with the brains and eyes and hearts of people? Just torture them? He said something about only being able to appreciate immortality by constantly watching people die (while being them) so it just freaks me out, brain in a jar just means you're a defenseless sack of pain receptors, much much worse than death in most cases.
Anthony Lopez
>Onions Green Thanks Hiro for letting me discussing classic movies, you fucking chink faggot.
Noah Bailey
>t. literal shill seriously. I keep asking because its baffling. Why hide it? Why not just trip up and be proud that you're nothing but paid shills? You know you're paid shills, everyone else knows you're paid shills, you're never going to convince anyone otherwise, so why bother with the denial?
You didn't read the source material, so why pretend?
Tyler Cook
Yeah I get the sense that we saw the nice and happy side of Iron City in this movie, no doubt there is a lot of grunge to explore. It makes sense that Ido would have his workshop on the good side of town.
Asher Ross
I didn't know you could get a shill job as an anti-shill, which non-Alita company do you work for?
Gabriel Robinson

they need to up the PG-rating if they really want to show Iron City's true face
He's a mad scientist. He turns humans into fucked-up cyborgs and shit basically for the lulz. He's fulfilling his curiosity.
Luke Smith
It's simple symbolism, and using a sci-fi setting to tell typical stories in a different way. That's when sci-fi is at it's best, uses the setting to tell a familiar story. Maybe sometimes sci-fi can get better than that and introduce something that is near beyond our imagination...not a very fucking easy thing to do.
Aaron Smith
in the manga the shipments of body parts were to keep salem's baby factory gene pool sufficiently deep and varied. Nova isn't even directly mentioned (only alluded to) for about four volumes and isn't in the OVA at all. So they literally just made up that shit about chiren being dismembered for nova's experiments.
Robert Allen
And a chin chong nip nong to you too, Winnie the Pooh.
Jaxson Young
Not him but I’m anti-shilling for the sake of preserving creative original films that don’t entirely rely on a green screen employing a cheeseball script
Julian James
No one needs to hire me, I'm one of the free shillers
Cooper Brooks
did they really explicitly say they were designated for Nova?
Jayden Taylor
I didn't see the movie yet. I meant to, but then it was kinda cold outside so I said "nah" and didn't.
Oh well, I'm sure just me not seeing it won't make a difference for its box office and it'll do really well. Alita won't become homeless, right?
Maybe I'll see it in March!
Nicholas Lopez
I'm a 47 year old user who went to film school and read Gunnnm in the late '90s. I hated this movie. There's no point in trying to dissect what Alita: Battle Angel got right or wrong in terms of script or pacing or character development or whatever else film snobs like to blather on about. Its all horrible. Alita is just a boring, cringefest of what I hoped would at least be a worthwhile trilogy, if not more. They couldn't have animated Alita any worse. Those eyes, wtf? Terrible movie. Complete waste of two hours. Don't bother seeing it the theater. Watch the cam rip on a laptop if you want to how bad the movie is. I am glad its flopping. There doesn't need to be a sequel.
You know that you are just one person in a total of 48 anons right now right? And your posts have been deleted for being troll posts. You should put on a trip because you are the only shill here.
Wyatt Wood
He can't really make any attempt considering he's literally hanging by a thread.
Juan Howard
>preserving creative original films
Like fucking what? Let me guess, Captain Marvel?
Xavier Lewis
20 yrs user, 20 yrs, here's hoping it gets money for the sequel.
Joshua Thomas
Yep. Vector directly states it when he shockingly reveals chiren's brain (with still active eyes) in a jar.
Ryder Miller
Vector was black in both the OVA and the manga.
Cooper Ward
>preserving creative original films that don’t entirely rely on a green screen employing a cheeseball script There are 10 CM threads outside. Go get her.

40-45 people who posted in this thread only posted once. I don't know why you shills like to pretend it's EVERYONE'S first day on Yea Forums.
Brody Gray
He says it's the only way people get up to the city (idk about the Grand Champion thing, he seemed convinced that was legit) but yeah, he said something about Alita turning her evil brain kind and he was very interested so he was probably gonna do some nasty experiments with it (I hope Alita smashed it or something to spare her)
Parker Wilson
>47 year old user who went to film school
Mike is that you?
Oliver Mitchell
why bother in the first place? they've proven over and over that they're not from this board or even site

But hey, you didn't understand the scene in the OVA or manga, and you won't no matter how many times it's explained to you.
Aiden Young
>Tiphares >Chiren >Viz translation with OVA exclusive character
Ryder Morris
Finally made it to the kinoplex this weekend and I was overcome with joy to see that this scene was not just a meme. Even more than saving the life of a cute doggo this established Alita as pure goodness manifest.
Just wish there had been more Motorball and less time wasted on characterization for the doomed and insufferable Hugo.
No any marvel/dc/ this movie is pure green screen trash and any movie in those vein is cancer
I’m talking about something like Annihilation or Mad Max which uses actual set design and prop practicality mixed with partial green screen to enhance real life cinematic tangibility
Ayden Lee
Having Tiphares exiles run around on the surface without a brain was a giant plothole in the original manga to beginn with. Sooner or later someone would have smashed their skulls in and found out about the chip. The medical bureau of tiphares would have never allowed this.
Cameron Butler
>just wish there had been more motorball just you wait until the sequel :3
Adam Richardson
it could be that they're sent to Melchizedek, or just used as parts in Novas degenerate experiments
Jace Williams
"What I like about it is that when we first meet Alita she's very young, she's sort of almost pre-pubescent in a way, and she actually matures throughout the story. I like that, that the development of her mind actually affects her physicality. There's a lot of really great things about it, and there's a lot of things... whether the artist really intended them or not... that I read into it, and so I think it'll be a good fusion of what Kashiro created and how I would do things."
"The manga is very episodic and very discordant... it's not internally consistent, meaning sometimes she looks like one thing and has one set of abilities, and at the whim of Kashiro he'll go off on a whole different tangent. It needs to be fused and focused and given a centralised storyline. But the character will be very, very true to Alita as she is in the manga."
"Motorball might find its way more into the second film... I definitely want to do more than one film. I want to create a world and a character that can go through at least one more film, possibly more. And that's not just for the classic financial reasons, it's just that I think there's a possibility for a real mythology here, so I feel that this is a good canvas to do something big that's got more scope."
Parker Diaz
What the fuck the manga turns into mad max I'm starting to lose interest
Thomas Torres
user, most of Iron City had actual set design. It's in the artbook.
Liam Morgan
Will there be a sequel? I keep seeing that the movie isn't doing so hot and also that SJWs hate it.
David Sanchez
If you go in expecting a capeshit film, you'll see a capeshit film. This movie has real depth and soul though. If you invest a bit of time thinking about the characters, motivations and world you'll realize that not a line of dialogue is spoken that isn't finely crafted with deeper meaning. (As it must be given the breakneck pace required to setup a fitting trilogy). You will get a lot out of the movie on repeat viewings.
Jason Edwards
the chip only needed to be secret to the Zalemites, not anyone else.
It really isn't, considering no one on the surface knows what the MIB is except for salemites. So some random ravager smashes in an exile's skull and finds a chip. It wouldn't even be the 100th strangest thing he's ever seen.
Blake Torres
Because Kishiro makes everything up as he goes along, there was no plan or overarching story to the Alita manga at all, not until it was well into it's run.
I really, really like this image. Something about it, just want to keep looking at it.
Jackson Sanders
That’s stretching and reaching and making excuses for what was mostly green screen trash. This might as well been a fully animated CGI movie. Would have had more character
Austin Morris
>I keep seeing that the movie isn't doing so hot and also that SJWs hate it.
Please leave the /poltv/ culture war bubble occasionally, for your own good.

No that's gay. That's a man. Now I lost my appetite.
Noah Walker
>and that whole thing about how he completely ignores her while she's running up the wire screaming for him.
Right before he gets bladed he agrees to turning back. Thats why its tragic. Hugo overlooked Alita until it was too late. Its similar to when he's hiding out and he looks at her eyes and thinks how he's ignored her all this time in favor of Zalem. He's still a kid and can still have a tinge of hopefulness even if it comes too late.
guess we know where all the actual lewd scenes in this film went
Isaac Campbell
That scene, with Alita cheerfully greeting the other participants was so cute that it should be illegal.
Jordan King
my appetite is back now.
Owen Collins
I don't let SJWs define my tastes and I don't let China define them either. I like what I like, and if the chinks happen to like it too, that is great for me and has no downsides.

in the sequel do you think Alita will time travel 300 years into the future again? might be best to avoid the baggage of the first movie
>manga really isn't that great It does have a lot of "soul" tho. Setting is good and Kishiro notes and explanations in the extras are great.
Nathaniel White
chiren is dismembered in the OVA though
Dylan Lopez
I can't get over the hunter-warrior guy who is a drag race car and farts flames out of his exhaust tubes. Or the guy with the podrace gun. Dieselpunk as fuck.
Charles Turner
That might actually happen, he could never fix his daughter in time but he manages to fix her, even give her her old face back, she was already turning good at the end of the movie so she could come back as an ally. >Hey doc, I got your wife in this box, careful with it okay?
Logan Hughes
Sad to see fanboys of this trash are auto labeling naysayers as captain marvel and super hero movie fans when they’re all on the same level of cinematic garbage that’s setting back the movie going experience by 100 years. the reason why television is crushing movies these days
Jace Lee
They made pretty good use of their one F-bomb for the pg-13 rating imo.

Alita is CUTE!
William Martin
The rules seem kind of whack though, why isn't everyone using a projectile weapon? Speed vs strength obviously comes into play a lot between the giant monsters and the quick ones but other times they're just shooting out their knees or something
Aiden Diaz
She was rushing to save Hugo though. Did she spare some time to save the box in that situation?
You know easiest way they can about it is by making their brains are fake, hiding a microchip. Which why the heck didn't they construct a fake brain in the manga if they didn't want anyone finding out about people having no brains in the first place?
FUCK YOU SECHS VS ZEKKA IS THE BEST FIGHT IN LAST ORDER
Dominic Ortiz
the brain itself doesn't have pain receptors
Julian Cooper
They have cell phones, I bet he'd rush over there real quick to pick her up, I doubt Alita would just not bring it up to him at least AFTER Hugo died, she did help her save him just hours before
Right I forgot, why everyone had swords and rocket hammers, though I wonder what committee decides what's a "gun" and what's a "slag launching cylinder"
Give the story line I am not sure the grindcutters were fully legal. The announcer even asks that. Vector certainly didn't like them being used. I think that is why most players used melee weapons.
No but full Grimdark scenario they have the ability to jack into your brain and dictate what you see/feel/hear, suddenly you're strapped to a table getting raped by your closest friends and family, or they've replaced all your good memories with bad ones and now you're just a shell who doesn't know what happiness is. It's fucking horrifying, having everything you experience in the hands of someone else, one of the scariest parts of cyberpunk to me
Dominic Wood
Hope it's at IMAX next Thursday, will see then.
Jose Allen
You can't rocket hammer something up to Zalem. Thats the basic reasoning. same reason flying things are banned(they don't go into the flying thing in the movie I believe, but Hugo is orphaned because his brother tried to make a balloon to fly up to Zalem and his wife sold him out)
David Gomez
If it's like gladiator fights, there are sort of classes of warriors and fighting styles to mix it up and keep the audience entertained. Like a guy with a trident and a ned against a guy with a blade-arm and a dagger.
Yeah I feel like Vector had him got because he went and modified himself without approval (Vector likes to run a tight ship so he always knows who wins and can control the odds) and it was also a free upgrade for his pet hitman.
Colton Mitchell
Based boomer Although I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I were to hate on Alita
I don't understand Yea Forums onionss. On one side you have "This was the best movie of all time KINO KINO KINO" on the other "It's utter trash dogshit"
Its like its impossible to have a middle of the road opinion like "It was a fun movie but super flawed with not great script or pacing or dialogue and a bad romance. But was still entertaining enough to be enjoyable and overcome the downsides" Quit living in only extremes
David Campbell
i'm a desufag, been here long before you and will be here long after. alita's here to stay, get used to her or kick rocks kiddo.
I'm no scientist but I imagine that guy needs an engine that size to move him along at regulation speeds, he's probably close to 20 feet tall and all metal
Julian Moore
> black dude blacks dont need to follow any regulations
Jaxson Martin
What happens if an 80 year old gets close to her?
Blake Taylor
the truth is that the "its good"-side is much bigger whereas the "IT BAD"-side is small but very audible
Easton Green
didn't say it wasn't. What I said is nova wasn't in the OVA.
Dylan Collins
Imagine having taste this bad. I bet you like Goku more thsn Vegeta.
No, the pacing was only a sin in the sense it diminished the movie. the greater sins were the alterations that weakened and dulled the source material.
all of them. Not a single change actually improved upon the themes or unique aspects of the source material. Everything was done to scale the work down, when they had plenty of time to leisurely run through it.
Most of the screenshots from the film look like uncanny valley/ snapchat filter for some reason, when in the movie it actually works pretty well. Just go watch it user, no regrets
i'm here since the pony invasion back in 2011 and i waited this movie more than 10 years, they did a good job and you can bet your ass i'm going shilling and bandwagoning like there is no tomorrow
