what happened to red green user? he was pretty old in the shows I cant imagine hes still with us.
show was hard to find and was only on weird channels in the dead of night but made for some comfy as fuck late night watching as a kid.

He's still alive. The wikipedia article is pretty small, but he seems to be doing shit in Canada still. The Red Green show ended in 2006 if you didn't already know that.

I'm curious as to whether this is a Canada-only thing. I'm sure it aired outside of Canada but did it gain any significant popularity?

I live near Seattle and it used to air late night on PBS or something like that in the 90's, I don't know if it made it further south. I miss these sorts of local focused shows, there's nothing like them anymore.

Aired on PBS in MA. Around the same time Red Dwarf and Monty Python were being shown on it too.

Watched it on PBS in Oregon, a friend from Iowa is a fan as well. It has a small following in the states at least. One of my favorite shows as a kid.
