WB can continue to churn out poorly plotted and edited cgi-fests and rake in the cash, Disney can continue to milk their cinematic universes with safe plots and a consistent but not amazing level of quality, and audiences around the world will continue to pay.

As a huge comic nerd, this makes me happy, I just wish DC's stuff was more entertaining. These aren't company wars, the other one isn't going to fold up if the other one "wins."

I think Aquaman was rather good, its plot was alright, it deviating from established comic lore isnt a bad thing at all, and I must say it's very well edited and has some nice CGI, especially with Manta and the fights with Orm, the only thing that drag it down is the rooftop chase scene that looks a bit "slow" when comparing it to the usual movement that these guys have, but overall, a nice improvement.

It was just a standard action movie flow. 20 min exposition, action set piece, 20 min exposition, set piece, etc. bad acting and dialogue paired with no real character devolpment or dramatic tension. It was just standard capeshit. I will say Wan did a good job of conveying scale in some of the fight scenes
