Eh. I preferred the original, Infernal Affairs.
The Departed suffers from having Leo in the lead role (Leonardo "Pussy Patrol" DiCaprio as a tough street level gangster?) but gains some points from the entertainingly nasty Marky Mark character, who is everything that Leo is not.
The subtle "X" motifs whenever a character is about to die give it a lot of rewatch value.
