mace dindu lol

They were evenly matched until palpatine sensed anakin a threw the fight

Of course he did, it would look very bad for Mace in front of Anakin to try and murder a defensless old man

given how palpatine performed against yoda later, I'd say probably

No, vapaad is strong against the dark side.

Yes, as said, Sheev jobbed once he sensed Anakin coming in order to appear helpless.

No, Lucas said that Windu had the upper hand due to Vaapaad

Lucas says a lot of things

Why is his lightsaber the only one that is purple?

The power of purple drank

>the black jedi has a purple drank lightsaber
Jesus Raimi

sam jackson specifically requested it

He's a Jedi that uses the Dark Side. Red + blue

It was affairmative action. Just whitey sheev giving space dindu a leg up.

Could Anakin beat Windu?

>He's a Jedi that uses the Dark Side
why did they even allow that but not let anakin get laid?

So sheeve got all deformed just by using his lightning too long? Or did he use it too hard? I don't get what caused him to be deformed.

shitty writing deformed him

Windu was redirecting palps lightning back at him

Why didn't this happen to Luke

You know anakin was creeping into padmes room every night and mind tricking blow jobs òff her. Jar jar too probs.

Luke doesn't use vaapad

Unlike the virgin Anakin, the chad Mace can control his fury and funnel it for use in harmony with the light. It's called righteous anger.

Attached: image001.jpg (523x349, 16K)

I know you're memeing but maybe that was the actual logic behind it

He's a Mary Sue

Luke wasn't ugly on the inside. He was a jedi knight like his father before him.

Nah lol.

It was some dark side face cloaking shit, he always looked like that.

But Luke was directly exposed to his force lightning. Why wasn't he deformed?

kek his doubles as a thermos

UN LIM I TED POWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

he wasn't cooked long enough. the real question is why does Anakin appear to give Sheev head right after Windu is gone

Luke was already ugly enough due to his Speeder accident. No need to make it worse than it already is.

Because force lightning doesn't deform you, Palpatine was using some masking technique that covered his real appearance.

Attached: palpy.gif (550x518, 1.75M)

Damn this is pretty hot desu

Palpatine was a bro and kept it below the neck.

"I'm too weak" 2 seconds later "unlimited power!" it's obvious he needed to bait anakin to betray the jedi, that was his whole goal.

Maybe the lightning cooked sheevs bellend as well. Just soothing it for him.

Yes. It's strongly implied in the movie, and flat-out stated in the "official novelization"*.

*written by Matt Stover. Yes I read it. Yes I'm a dork. Fucking sue me.

Mace Windu was the strongest Jedi back then, stronger than Yoda or Anakin.

the OT palpatine looked so much better. the makeup makes his head look gigantic in ep 3.

>stronger than Anakin
Anakin was literally the most powerful Jedi that ever lived.

Lucas said he won and he's literally the creator so /thread

Why were people ok with the friendly grey haired chancellor turning into a frail old man with a hood and walking cane? How did he explain his change in appearance?

luke actually WAS deformed after the battle, but he used to the force to realign his face to make it look good again

he then went into hiding and had someone be his replacement as luke

>The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed

Sheev is only a GOAT force user. He is only proficient at a light sabre

Windu is GOAT at the sabre duels

BASED

he literally says that the assassination attempt by the Jedi left his body scarred and deformed in his speech to the Senate

fucking a kek he literally explains it saying this to the whole senate

No. It's established that Mace's fighting style is specialized for dealing with foes who use the dark side of the Force. He had the upper hand from the beginning and Sidious would have lost if not for Anakin's betrayal.

Oh, time to rewatch the PT.

Palpatine literally tore planets apart in the EU comics. Not sure how anyone can even argue anyone beating the guy bar plot.

pretty sure because he was like a super jedi master or whatever

well they made it appear like Mace Windu didn't even have the force and was an affirmative action hire

Arrogance.

Not canon
Daily reminder that Palpatine couldn't even predict getting thrown into space by his robot servant according to canon and is dead

Sheev was using all of his energy to attack Windu and had none left to use for his sith force projection. Palp is very very old. Older than what he appears.

>Not canon
Fuck off mouse shill

A lot of the side characters didn't get enough screen time or development, and that's a flaw with the prequels, but Mace Windu is canonically one of the strongest Jedi at the time of the movies, having perhaps the most skill with the Lightsaber of any Jedi, and rivaling Yoda in mastery of the Force.

Obviously he lies to the public, since they don't know hes a shit lord

Anakin was weaker than Sheev who slightly stronger than Yoda. Anakin even lost to Obi-Wan.

Palp was like 50 in ROTS

did you not see that part where Windu pushed his own lighting back on him and cooked him like microwave popcorn? he was freaking smoking afterwords

He could have been. He didn't. Anakin was an absolute moron that threw away everything.

>getting blowjobs from Jar Jar
Anakin is one sick fuck

Anakin was the strongest, but he didn't have the experience or mastery of Yoda or Sheev.

Lmao keep on arguing around your fanfiction buddy

Nope, he only lost to Obi-Wan because he was arrogant and Obi-Wan was literally the master of defensive lightsaber combat. Anakin was more powerful that Sheev by a long shot, why do you think he wanted to recruit him so bad?

Palpatine could cloak his appearance using the Force. It's how he even became a politician. The Dark Side kind of molests your face if you're really good at it. Ian and George confirmed this. Why they didn't put in a prior scene explaining this we will never know.

Obi-wan only won because of his defensive lightsaber style. Anakin typically goes out on the offensive and tires out quickly.

Anakin was retarded, beats Dooku and literally disarms him and then Sheev all evil says 'Do it' to killing him and he does it without any hesitation at all or noticing that Sheev just sounded incredibly evil, shit he didn't even sense Sheev's clear evil joy at him doing it

So he wasn't the strongest then?
Anakin was a fucking retard.

yes

>Anakin was more powerful that Sheev by a long shot

Are you conventiently ignoring that one line made by Yoda IN the movie, and, outside the movie, Lucas saying Anakin was around a fifth under that of Sheev? He had more potential, but he didn't reach it. Yoda sent Obi-Wan to deal with Anakin because Sidious would have annihilated him.

Breaking nofap

>he won because he had the high ground and Anakin was literally retarded

Attached: forceghostfrodo.jpg (600x599, 141K)

Mace Windu nuffin

Why didn't Anakin seem weirded out? I don't recall him revealing his true face before

>Lucas saying Anakin was around a fifth under that of Sheev?
That's Vader, not Anakin.

>literally be the Space-Jesus of the Force
>job to your fucking weak-ass master because you went through your edgy emo phase in your early 20s

Literally explained in Ep 1 that Anakin has the highest midichlorian count of any known Force user. He is potentially the strongest Force user to have ever lived.

He lacked experience and mastery, but could have surpassed anyone else. Yoda and Palpatine were simply far older and more experienced.

>Yoda sent Obi-Wan to deal with Anakin because Sidious would have annihilated him
Lol no, he sent Obi-Wan because he was the best man for the job. He literally trained Anakin from childhood and knew all of his moves.

Anakin had the potential to become the most powerful traditional Force user. The strongest Force users were strictly the Ones and Abeloth, which were more like deities/abominations than normal Force users.

That's not what Yoda said.

>"To fight this Lord Sidious, strong enough you are not"
youtube.com/watch?v=Wk8_7dl2_E0

Obi-Wan lost to Dooku twice. Yoda had the best chance of overcoming Sheev. Obi-Wan had the beset chance of overcoming Anakin.

Obi-Wan won the fight, but didn't finish the job, so really they both failed.

The golden rule to powerlevels is that they don't really matter

more like mace windon't lmao

Why did anakin get an old fat black guys voice when he became vader?

Yeah, Obi-Wan wasn't strong enough to beat Sheev. Anakin was before he got bisected, it's his destiny to kill Sheev.

That's not his destiny. That's the Rule of Two. Anakin during this time wasn't experienced or powerful enough to tackle Sidious. Consider that Sheev was able to manhandle Dooku in less than a second, thousands of light years away, no fight at all.

>not strong enough to beat Sidious
>but strong enough to beat pre-Vader Anakin
>this means Anakin is stronger than Sheev
??? What kind of logic is this exactly ???

his voice had to be artificially attenuated just to be able to hear it due to damage from the lava

No, the rule of two is completely different. His destiny was to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the force, Sheev knew Anakin was the chosen one and feared him. That's why he gimped his cybernetics and made him weak to force lightning.

And then British when his mask is taken off in ROTJ.

Anakin is the youngest and least experienced of all these characters, and it's heavily implied throughout the Trilogy that the Jedi and Ob-Wan were purposefully holding him back from realizing his full potential because they all feared his power. This is a big reason why Anakin made the switch to Palpatine, with Padme's prophesied death being the biggest factor.

It's all the weed he smoked with old Sheev.

Aboleths are DND wtf

Sheev didn't fear Anakin. This is entirely counterproductive to Sheev's philosophy. He wanted Anakin to surpass him, being that's exactly what the Rule of Two fosters. Him losing his potential infuriated Sheev. Sidious was already the perfect culmination of Bane's legacy, first of all, Anakin was practiclly a miracle for the Sith. Vader was nothing more than a complete and utter failure. A disgrace to Sheev. And yet he's still the best option he has for an apprentice until Luke comes by.

That doesn't refute the horrid logic user was postulating

He absolutely did fear Anakin, he knew of the prophecy and even helped create him. Sheev worked on a perverse version of the rule of two, he wanted immortality, and that directly contradicts the rule as the apprentice as you said must surpass the master. True, he was despising of Vader after he got his shit fucked up but he was still very much aware of the prophecy. That's why he made Vaders suit with low quality cybernetics, both as punishment and as a precaution.

There used to be jedi who used red sabers until it became a taboo because it got associated with the sith.

Sheev didn't give a fuck about the Rule of Two, he killed his old master who researched prolonging his life.
All of his pupils are weaklings. The first one getting killed by a padawan. The second one also killed by a padawan/young master, the third one having died decades ago.

Palpatine's lightning wasn't as strong as it was in Episode III. He probably hadn't trained worth a shit in at least twenty years, he was bound to lose some strength

>only sith deal in absolutes
>no one may use this color lightsaber because some sith used it and so now it is universally taboo
Wew lad

Connor... you still shitpost here?

Because he specifically requested it and giving unique colours to every nobody background jedi character would've detracted from the visual effect of it.

>only sith deal in absolutes
This is already an absolute statement. I thought it was intentional to emphasize the jedi hypocrisy.

This is 100% wrong in accordance with the canon. I don't know why I even bother.

Listen, if that one line in the movie wasn't already indicator enough
>Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us
Then there's really not much to go on. His faith was in Vader, not himself.

If you actually want to argue Sheev being a power-mad corruptor of systems, then you can bring up his EU self, where he was arguably something altogether more monstrous than Anakin ever could have been He successfully "tamed" the Dark Side in the comics, making it his symbolical pet bitch

Obviously Palpatine was toying with him until Anakin arrived

He threw away his lightsaber

His face melted, lightning is hot and he was literally smoking afterward. Did none of you redditlettermedia fags even watch the movie? You do realize there are clips of it up on youtube to watch before you respond here making yourself look retarded.

I like the name Sheev unironically.

Attached: 1545234571973s.jpg (125x119, 2K)

It’s not really the same sort of thing. The wording is a bit clunky and makes it sound hypocritical but the meaning of ‘Jedi should not deal in absolutes’ is fine. Like the paradox of tolerance if you’re a lefty or the incompleteness theorem.

>spends decades manipulating things behind the scenes to rise in political power and become the emperor of the galaxy
>lol but it's Vader who really matters
No, he said that because he knew Vader was already more powerful than him. Also when he said that Vader hadn't had his arms and legs cut off yet.

exactly, theres a reason so much of the EU was "palpatine is looking to replace vader because having him around means he has to lock his bedroom door every night"

As a sidenote, yeah we get it Starkiller and the force unleashed was fanfic tier but it was really fun to play and if you just pretend all the ridiculous feats were toned down a bit it was perfectly decent, you cant say otherwise

It wasn't point blank and sheev just zapped him quick a few times it wasn't a sustained pence frying. Look, we get it, you think you've found a plot hole but you haven't so either go make some lame ass youtube video about it or shut the fuck up.

>exactly, theres a reason so much of the EU was "palpatine is looking to replace vader because having him around means he has to lock his bedroom door every night"
Well that and Vader was a walking representation of wasted potential that pissed Palpatine off by his mere presence.

Except everything points to Vader *not* being more powerful than Sheev, I don't know why you keep bringing this up. He had the potential, he never reached it.

It is. His fighting style taps into dark side emotions for maximum efficiency, and then stows them away again when the fight is over.

learn English my ESL friend:
>(of powers or rights) not subject to any limitation; unconditional.

Um, in the EU Vader's desire to find rogue apprentices was because he was piss afraid of Palps and had no confidence in his ability to personally overthrow him. This isn't even remotely arguable.

Why you are making up these lies is beyond me.

>Sheev didn't give a fuck about the Rule of Two, he killed his old master
user, that IS the rule of two.

of all the tumblr-tier odd couples I can think of, imagining Vader and Sheev bickering and bitching at each other over complete nonsense is the most fun

>the chosen one
>destined to destroy the sith
>most powerful force user that ever lived up until that point
I don't know how much more evidence you need senpai.

He knew Vader could have surpassed him. Anakin didn't actually reach this point in the third film.

Nah, most Jedi masters are skilled in the dark side as well. Yoda is also highly trained with the dark side.

so you just closed your eyes every time palpatine saw a new force user and went "OH DAMN bet he can massage my feet better than vaders robotic hands can" or what?

youtube.com/watch?v=3F1d3QWsyk0

Attached: giphy.gif (500x214, 666K)

fucking kek

user. I'm not arguing any of that. That's all 100% canon. I'm pointing out that Anakin, during the events of the films, never personally peaked to the point where he could have reliably challenged particularly powerful Force users such as Yoda or Sheev. To argue this you have to go out of your way to be a biased moron and disregard the intent of the story.

Sheev actually did follow the Sith teachings pretty accurately. The Rule of Two means that the two Sith Lords are constantly testing each other's weaknesses until one comes out on top and kills the other, with the goal being to eventually develop their powers enough to topple the Jedi, while remaining undetectable enough that they wont become a target before their plans could take place.

Sheev wanted a powerful apprentice both so he could have a powerful henchman to do his bidding for a while, and also so he could leave behind a strong legacy for the Sith in the future should his apprentice ever kill him.

Lol what?

I think he was losing to him, but Palpatine was cunning and knew when a opportunity happens, and it happened with Anakin showing there

Aside from the fact that Force users were paranoid as all hell during the reign of Palpatine, and never wanted to reveal themselves In contrast with the Sorcerers of Tund Vader, despite being a sub-African IQ'd moron, was still, in the words of Lucas, 4/5 of Sheev's total capacity. Pre-suit Vader was already nearing him. There was no other alternative. Luke would have been his replacement.

I have waited a long time for this moment, my littlee greeeen friend.

Attached: sneeded.png (722x322, 313K)

This pleases me

Well he massacred the entire Jedi temple, full of masters basically single handed. He could have beat Yoda, both with a lightsaber and with the force.

>5 years since the dindu meme started and I never thought of this

Attached: 1366761123083.gif (223x167, 1.38M)

Except he couldn't. Revenge of the Sith basically states this through its narrative. The most proficient of Jedi Masters weren't even located in the Jedi Temple at this time, as a side note/clarification.

ca 5 blasters per jedi at point blank range isnt exactly single handed but ok

Most of the powerful masters were away fighting the war. Anakin and the clones mostly killed padawans and children.

mace kinda forced him to use force lightning which apparently causes you to turn into a raisins

you are not even on the point anymore, palpatine always planned to supplant his apprentices with more powerful ones
happened to dooku, happened to vader, if luke wasnt literally the only one left it would have been him too
or in the EU where starkiller got supplanted by himself a few times after defeating vader or whatever stupid shit happened there

Anyone else here self insert as Anakin as a kid?

True, but there were multiple masters at the temple at the time.
Most of them Anakin killed without clone troopers assisting.
Well it's already established that padawans are capable of "killing" trained Sith so they are at least somewhat of a threat.

no i pretended to be jango fett

yes, he is still my favorite character

Yes, because that's the entire fucking point of the Rule of Two, you unintelligent buffoon. The Sith replace their apprentice if they find a better one. This has -always- and never -not- been the standard. Sidious was more prolific and went through a good few. By the time of the EU he even wondered if he should continue the Sith, and not just make a cult of bastardized Dark Side users, thinking he was too much of its perfect culmination for them to oppose him. I mean, fuck, by the time of his final death during his clone-body-hopping phase, him just walking around started tearing apart the fabric of space-time.

Actually just kidding. I still self insert as him as an adult

>Well it's already established that padawans are capable of "killing" trained Sith so they are at least somewhat of a threat.

Yeah, okay, it's safe to conclude you as a complete and utter retard.

um, sweatie, yikes!

no

I literally RPd as ObiWan

Get blown the fuck out, kiddo.

um sweetie, Obiwan killed Darth Maul as a padawan

>EU
and filtered lol fanfiction retard

Most padawans aren't Obi-Wan. Most padawans aren't even adults. There are only two Sith at a single time in modern times. Consider the logistics of your dumbass notions.

Have you never seen The Phantom Menace?

first of all, wasnt me
secondly, im not gonna waste any more time on a "person" that unironically calls someone an unintelligent buffoon and proceeds to beat his chest over it
>Get blown the fuck out, kiddo
reddit autism is best avoided you know

the sequels will never have a debate this interesting

It's unfortunately a common tactic to use the 'y-you're just reddit' response when being educated

You goot btfo my dude

Star wars nerds on suicide watcx

and most padawans aren't Anaki neither, who killed Count Dooku so it's pretty obvious that he could kill a few dozen noname Jedi Masters easy lol you fucking retard #BTFO

>Get served
>SHUT UP REDDIT
The absolute state of soi wars

Sheev killed him in his sleep, it was never established that he was actually more powerful than his master.
He researched immortality most likely to establish him as the singular sith lord.

Of course he could. The question was whether at the time Anakin was the most powerful Force user in the Galaxy. He wasn't.

except you arent teaching me anything new you raging autist, youre objecting to things I claim by bringing up things that arent relevant and somehow that makes you right?
>The rule of two exists and that means Palpatine wasnt pissed at Vader and his wasted potential and wanted to supplant him because of it
You arent exactly disproving me retard

You realize Sidious is, canonically speaking, the single most powerful Force user in the history of the Sith, yeah?

samefagging is also very reddit but please go on

>The question was whether at the time Anakin was the most powerful Force user in the Galaxy. He wasn't.
Yes he was, he was literally born of the force. Don't give me any "potential" crap please.

the rule of two is fucking stupid lol

>yeah bro I'll just learn a bunch of shit and then die so maybe the next guy can become an immortal sith emperor

don't think it's possible to be a bigger cuck than a sith

canon means nothing anymore when you can choose to accept and completely ignore the EU however you feel like

So he wasn't the most powerful Force user then? Revenge of the Sith practically states this with Yoda sending Obi-Want to deal with him, and Sidious claiming he will one day surpass them both. It's his fall from grace. This is the entire point of his character arc. You're an idiot.

> Don't give me any "potential" crap please.

'LALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALALA'
Pretty much what you're doing. The sad fact is that Anakin didn't have the experience to use his raw ability to beat people like Obi-Wan

Anakin just really wanted to kill Dooku but didn't do it because "it's not the jedi way".
When Sheev says to kill him, he now has a direct order from the leader of the republic justifying his actions.
Anakin was just looking for an excuse to kill Dooku and did it when he got it. Nothing unreasonable here. Dude chopped his arm off and started a war.

Okay, I will give you the "high ground" crap instead, because that's all it took to cripple him

There's this word again.
Exar Kun

Attached: Emperor Palpatine.jpg (750x750, 556K)

Look, we've gone over this before. Yoda sent Obi-Wan because of his connection to Anakin. Anakin had just lost his wife, killed countless Jedi and betrayed his master. Of course his head wasn't on straight and he wasn't thinking clearly, that and his arrogance was the only reason he lost. Notice that Obi-Wan killed Anakin with a cheap shot, not actualy saber to saber combat, because Anakin would've worn his defences down eventually and mirked him.

>Obi Wan beats Anakin
>But he's apparently too weak to fight Palpatine

Yup, Palps > Annie

not in the movies. That's just something some nerd writer came up with after the fact.
Samuel Jackson just said he wanted a purple one so they CGI'd him a purple one.

If we're going non-canon, then Revan and Bane are more powerful than Sheev.

Important reminder: none of these people are real.

Yoda was the grand master of the Jedi order, why would anyone other than himself face Palpatine?

Nope. All of that trumps anything regarding Bane and Revan. Bane would actually be the weakest of the Rule of Two considering his teachings. Palpatine is the single most powerful Sith in history. Keep denying it tho :^)

KEK

Wrong. Sheev never truly took the BigGuyPill. He intended to move beyond rule of two. His pragmatism ironically made him complacent and weak. Bane was right all along.

Because Obi-Wan was too weak to fight him? That's some fanciful mental gymnastics there.

Bane and Revan cheated death, but Palpatine "the most powerful sith" couldn't.

w-what?!

>He intended to move beyond rule of two
Only in the EU when he realized what a monster be became. By the time of RotS he was still quite zealously dedicated to it.

Don't even know how you're arguing this, Not only is entirely correct, but Revan got manhandled by someone demonstratably lesser to Palpatine.

Wrong, you'll never be a big guy wuth your small mind.

If you're referring to Malak hen he got blindsided as did Palpatine.

Palpatine did cheat death, actually. He did the exact same thing Vitiate did, only faster, without a ritual, and on a complete whim, and could possess people/clonesWas even planning on taking over an infant in the end and resurrect others just to torture them again and again.

If you die, it's because you weren't strong enough. It's simple survival of the fittest.

kys

>He researched immortality most likely to establish him as the singular sith lord.

Well yeah. That doesn't mean he didn't follow the Rule of Two. As far as any canon is concerned Sheev only ever had one apprentice at a time. Yeah, he wanted to be the ultimate immortal Sith Lord, but that doesn't mean he didn't give a fuck about the Rule of Two.

Nope. I'm talking about the old Sith Emperor. Some of his abilities were comparable to Sheev's in the comics, but far more costly, lengthy, rigid and limited.

In non-canon yes, whilst Bane canonically cheated death.

Based sheevfag schooling vaderfags

Actually, its been established that because they limited their numbers to just two Sith Lords, they were able to harness much more of the Dark Side of the Force, while also trying to strengthen each other through cunning and displays of power. Darth Bane created the rule because the Sith always started infighting because the Dark Side causes Force users to become addicted to its power and infighting always occurred. With this simple system he was able to preserve the Sith and pave the way for Sidious to eventually topple the Jedi.

>survival of the fittest
sith cucks actually believe this lol

Well yeah I suppose I can't argue with that.

>he was able to preserve the Sith and pave the way for Sidious to eventually topple the Jedi
right, so he's a cuck just like I said lol

Is Exar Kun even canon at this point?

YOU STOLE MY FUCKIN' JOKE! I KILL YOU!

Attached: db4.jpg (495x362, 17K)

He never really followed it properly even RoTS "side" canon. Remember how he shanked Plageuis like a bitch, instead of truly dominating him.

anakin had the POTENTIAL to be the strongest Jedi ever.

His force powers were still weaker than sheev and Yoda and his dueling ability probably weaker than Windus

There's that word again.

Attached: 1551026821157.gif (300x225, 469K)

...

It's entirely relevant, valid, and the whole point of his character.

would you vote for palpatine if he was running for president?

The whole point of his story is a tragic fall to the dark side followed by redemption. Not whether or not he had the potential to be stronger that sheev.

Yes, that's also a part of his arc. Also the horrendous midichlorian thing. Had he not fucked up, he would have been an absolute beast. But he DID fuck up, so he threw away that P-word you seem to hate so much, and possibly not understand what it even means.

No, the lost potential is only a part of the point. The bigger picture is why he lost that potential, and how he redeemed himself.

Oh, not this 'redemption' thing again. Just because he threw an evil emperor down a hole doesn't redeem him from all the billions he helped kill.

Yes, part of the point regarding the thing that made him so tempting to Sheev. So very, very pivotal to the story. Had he not had the potential, Sheev wouldn't have batted an eye.

Vader only killed Jedi, rebels and imperials, Tarkin killed billions.

All of the links in the chain are pivotal to the whole. Your point is moot.

the force considered him redeemed

Attached: 1521031948643.png (1900x816, 2.67M)

yes it does, through our Lord and Savior all who seek redemption are forgiven for he has bore our sins at Calvary

Did you not read the comics and extended lore at all? Whether he pused the buttons or not matters little, him being the fucking enforcer of the Emperor. He's a fucking monster. You morally ambigious retards try to make him out to be some hero, and he just isn't. He is tragic, sure, but he's genuinely responsible for helping to kill billions of lives.

It's the side effect of soi wars. Watch as they make the spirit of Vader woke in episode 9

He didn't build the death star and blow up planets though. He just went around the galaxy killing filthy jedi and rebels and whatever else the emperor needed doing. Not exactly evil, both the rebels and jedi deserve death.

Yes, some of those rebels spreading cities far, some of them families and children. All expendable.

>only four lightsabers exist in the OT, Vader's is red, Anakin and Obi-Wan's are blue, Luke's is green
>Millions of lightsabers in the PT, Jedi are only allowed to have blue and green, every baddie has a red one

Bravo Lucas

They're terrorists trying to overthrow and assassinate a democratically elected leader.

One Jedi had a yellow one and another had red iirc, not that it negates Lucas being an unimaginative hack.

You'd be bitching about rainbows if Lucas went for more colors.

I'd have rather they just had all blue or something uniform like that, have Luke's lightsaber be green because he didn't follow the original Jedi instructions for saber building, it's the same shortsighted logic of the Jedi wearing robes identical to Ben Kenobi's in Episode IV, everyone on Tattoine wore robes like that, he wasn't romping around in the official Jedi uniform.

The simplest explanation would be that he was torturing Luke to death slowly, but was trying to kill Mace quickly with a much more powerful blast.

EPIC XD

There's no meaning behind lightsaber colors except blue/green=good, red=bad.
And fuck the RLM robes bullshit. Yoda wears the same shit in ESB, and Luke wears a black version of it in ROTJ.

I don't know if it's still canon, but the Blue sabers used to represent the Jedi who specialized in combat while Green sabers represented the more scholarly pursuits of the order.

Luke's wearing a straight up jumpsuit for most of the film, but even then I wouldn't expect this to be what the Jedi of the Old Republic wore. I think it was just a missed opportunity for some creative design because Lucas was taking the original films as gospel.

Sentinels and Consulars.

I always assumed they just CGd the face in episode 3

the dumbest thing about Star Wars is that Obi-Wan's desert robes somehow became the de facto Jedi outfit despite the fact Owen Lars wore basically the same thing and it's pretty obvious it was just utility to survive the harsh environment of Tatooine

because its grape flavour

Guardians and Consulars, but yeah. Sentinels became Temple guards and their pikes still have the Yellow blades.

I think the robes are just common for poorer people in the Star Wars universe, and the simple attire is fitting for a monk-like order such as the Jedi.

I'm guessing Lucas was going for something like this, which makes sense, but I think is a missed opportunity to give the Jedi something more interesting to wear. I think it'd be cool if they were wearing something like Buddhist robes, something outlandish that would've made the Jedi feel more mystic and unfamiliar from what's established in the OT.

I do.

It's just a big assumption that those are his desert robes. It's not pretty obvious anything. Aunt Beru wears a denim jacket.
Yoda wears the same stuff in ESB and nobody complained that his wearing desert robes for harsh Tatooine environment in a swamp.

I don't think they want to make themselves stand out any more than they already do being Force sensitive, and considering the Jedi teachings, it's probably just apart of their otherwise simple personal lifestyles.
