Not very comparable but check out "All is lost"

Hook

>naughtical
So you're specifically looking for films about the "don't ask, don't tell" part of the navy?

>implying burgers know of hornblower

pirates if the caribbean

I was trigerred by the fact that they casted brown people to play the french

Why can't women understand or enjoy this movie?

surely they must enjoy Bettany and Crowe running about in uniforms?

women don't understand boats

Not a burger, but I haven't seen Hornblower.
Are all the movies good?
How are the production values?

This is my mums favourite movie and she doesn't even like crowe she just loves boat's since she grew up on one and the soundtrack

really good production
im pretty sure its a series though

comfy sunday daytime watching

There's literally no women/ romance in it. Really makes you think though, when a movie without those ends up being so incredibly good.

>that scene with the island thot on the boat
>crowe and the boys look at her and that's it

The books are fucking amazing. Never seen any film adaptations.

first time I saw a chase at 25 km/h that lasted over a day. That must've been something.

I prefered Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) as my british navy kino.

>sailors COLONISING the island natives
>the comfy conversing between the captain and his officers
>captain redpilled on savages
>the philosophical question of cruelty

No women in it, just dudes with other dudes.
That's, in fact, why I joined the Navy.

Why do women and s o y males ruin everything with their drama?

It awoke your latent homosexuality?

It's not gay when you're underway.

Everyone ruins everything with drama. Drama is just fighting without throwing fists.

Take three alpha males and put them in a room together. Within a couple minutes, they'll have established the pecking order. A few minutes after that, the weakest will start sniping at the strongest to the middle guy.

Thinking of rewatching das boot is the movie or TV series better?
Mfw I was the 2nd weakest for a change and baited both sides
Oh well

Well it's a series of movies is what I meant

They always choose the biggest weevil, so they get triggered by this movie.

I don't get this movie it's sooo boring
What even is a weevil or a frigate? You can't just make up words. Dumb

Brando trying to make himself look cool in every shot

Boats

But if JAG taught me anything it's that there are roasties in the Navy now too
