No wonder this movie made more than 2 billions. The music, the atmosphere, the aesthetics and its environment... This is just the epitome of escapism

boring plot
boring visuals
boring music
boring one dimensional characters who whack you over the head with cliched moral messaging

What do you expect, scifi that makes you think? Making it normie bait was the only way to make it a blockbuster and Cameron demanded no less.

It made so much money for the 3D that was a "new" thing.

Yeah, but you needed to see it in the theaters to get the real experience. That's why zoomers don't understand why it earned over 2 billion. While it still looks gorgeous, the magic isn't there in the bluray. Watching it in 3d in cinemas felt like being transported to another world.

>boring visuals
you have some real shit taste.

yawn

It's the perfect pleb-filter.

The real question is how did he make enormous amounts of CGI palatable? Normally it all just blurs into a pile of shit.

It's literally the best looking film made and the next one is going to be better, UNDERWATER

It made money bacause of 3d gimmick

Looks like videogame

watch it again, eventually you'll get it
trust me

not outsourced to china

>We played that game in Motorball as well. Though I can’t emphasise enough what a great collaboration this was. The Motorball sequence was storyboarded, pre-visualised, captured, shot-designed by Robert and edited by Robert, then executed by Lightstorm and WETA digital. So he had this really powerful machine on the back end to complete what he set in motion. I wasn’t in that process anywhere, only when shots were coming in close to final. I goosed them a little bit, over the edge to photo reality. I happen to know a lot of tricks.
only based Jim knows

The CGI in this is still better than the one in some modern movies

Fact.
Although you at least add that the CGI looks amazingly like a PS3 game.

Because studios like Marvel know that effects don't have to be jaw-dropping anymore to sell a blockbuster, they just have to be barely good-enough.

>Like a PS3 GAME

Nice bait retard

but then it's trash after 2 years. Avatar's CG still look good in most places by today' standards

just like they can now release trailers and ads showing literally nothing and still have everyone foaming at the mouth

It was only good in cinema watching how it was intended in 3d.

this
Americans unironically do CGI better than the Chinks and Indians (aka all the CGI in capeshit)
