Star Trek Discovery season 2

They discuss that briefly in the first episode of season two. The TOS uniforms are being rolled out but not to Discovery yet.

star trek has always been "SJW" you're just now old enough and dumb enough to cry "muh SJWs"

its not gonna be a series about religious values and how we must maintain whiteness

>TMG isn't star trek, looks like it won't even be around for another season, and I'm glad let this abomination die.

The Orville, is closer in spirit to star trek, why the fuck does Hollywood have to ruin every established franchise, by ramming politics down our throat, the gall of them taking the moral high ground, when there industry's full of pedophiles and rapists.

No wasn't. SJW'ism is when everything needs to be politically relevant to today and a one side win for whatever the current politically correct view is pushed by the media.

There was an episode of Star Trek that dealt with a culture that practiced euthanasia, killing the elderly who where no longer of use to society as a tradition. If it's not a political hot topic then it's not something SJW's care about.

No it wasn't.
It was always inclusive to everyone, no matter how female, brown or alien, everyone is treated the same.
Which is why it's so important for SJWs to own Star Trek in order to exclude whites and men, which is the sjw version of inclusivity.

>Why were both Wars and Trek IPs handed to people with zero affinity with the respective franchises?
STD was literally made to sell subscriptions to CBS All Access, they didn't care if it was done right as long as people subscribed to their streaming service.

i dropped it midway season 1. How is it possible that it got MORE sjw?

>Burnham
>being a Vulcan in any form
you just have to pick one. She was the least "Vulcan-y" character I've ever seen in Star Trek.
People called T'Pol fanservice.. T'Pol is a Spock-tier quality compared to this shit

its a feedback loop. Viewership is down across the board. The youth demographics aren't responding to the old methods of engagement. So the old men in charge hire writers straight out of college to try to get at the youth demographic. The college writers' ideas are entirely political. They back up the validity of their ideas with reports on social media. When their ideas fail, they insist it is because they were not political enough. So on and so forth.

the upside to this is the feedback loop is starting to fail, and the old men are starting to realize appeasing twitter isn't generating money and angering twitter isn't losing money. That twitter will be constantly upset about everything all the time. Because people in general, for the whole of human history, have always been constantly upset about everything all the time.
