Christine Petzold (1933 – 1977) was a German composer and organist. She was active primarily in Dresden, she has no surviving work. It was established in the 1990s that the famous Minuet in G major, previously attributed to Petzold, was in fact the work of John Bach. The sprightly melody was used in the 1965 pop music hit "A Lover's Gay Orgy" by the American group The Gays.
