Am I the only one who watches American Gods? It shares the detriments of Preacher (toilet humour over substance) but it's still a crowning achievement for paganism in mainstream media.

Am I the only one who watches American Gods...
Am I the only one who watches American Gods?
Yes.
But you are not. I am here. I can be your Jinn.
neil gaiman = hack and gradfather of this whole generation of faggots.
as a bonus, couldnt fuck tori amos and married a bootleg version of it.
But thanks to him we have Odin in a popular tv show, not a bad Odin either.
No, there were plenty of American Gods threads when it was airing
The new season just hasn't started yet
Hello, my fellow writers! Do you want to write like me, Neil Gayman? Well, for only 5000 dollars plus tip, I'll teach you how to
>create a story where there is fantastic world inside a pit/pool or behind a wall
>magical girl who appears out of nowhere
>protagonist that doesn't know he's part of a magical/royal family until it's necessary for the story
in every single book!
No refunds.
>a crowning achievement for paganism in mainstream media.
Yikes
In the book didn't Salim and the jinn just appear as a brief interlude between chapters? They met in a taxi and had sex. They weren't main characters were they?
Anyway the book was entertaining but I would not watch a show based on it
The book has almost nothing to do with the show.
I kind of like how the only muslim we meet in the show is an effeminate gay man who has passionate graphic anal sex with a ghost.
thank god for /t/
I wouldn't watch it for free either.
Would you watch it if I paid you?
And would you watch American Gods aswell?
How much?
Jokes aside, I watched the first season and I'm not interested in the second.
I'm pretty sure the protagonist (the black guy) is a god or demigod, Odin is trying to bring the Ragnarök, Loki is controlling some people/gods behind the scene and Thor will probably appear too.
Yes. You are the only one. Unironically.
I stopped after I finished the book
Book was 9/10. Need to pick up on the show again. Was pretty kino but just stopped watching after episode 4?
I read the book when it came out and I loved it. I always had an affinity for the various mythologies around the world. I was next-level stoked when the tv series was announced - it felt like I was in a fever dream when I saw the trailer. But then the show came along and the zero-charisma wife took up well over half of the overall show. It's "American Gods", not "the wacky tales of this dead girl". It was such a disappointment. Yeah, I know the wife played a role in the book, but to over-extend and drag out her story which subtracts from actually interesting stuff is infuriating.
Read the book. Liked season one. Only bad part to me was the casting of Easter. Should have been more fertile. Also what said. Too much focus on the dead wife.
